I remember receiving this little gem back in late '91. Who would've thought that somebody would put the classic Black Mass to music, yet Vincent Crowley and crew manage to do so here. The intros to each track are the work of the Rev. Peter Gilmore (who would later become the head of the Church Of Satan upon the death of founder Anton Lavey). As for the album in itself, the production is raw, but very enjoyable. It has been in my collection ever since. Oh and be sure to keep an evil eye on the lookout for the remake, due in August 2007.

This is THE album to start listening to real satanic black metal. 3 piece all the way here. Totally brutal and intense yet so catchy it's hard to describe, I used to listen to this on tape all the time. I wish they would reissue it to the younger generation of black metellars so they can see that not all black metal comes from Norway. The intros in between the songs set the evil eerie bleek tone of the album and the lyrics come out quite well as I can make out them with out the lyrics sheet.
