Customer Reviews:
Ugly edition.......2007-05-09
I hope to have a better product. I trust you, ever, but this time you sell to me a CD which edition has much to imporve.
great metal album.......2007-03-24
Simply excellent, aggressive, fast, intensive, fascinating album. Always listen it with great enthusiasm and maximum volume.
Kreator's underrated masterpiece........2006-11-05
I say this is underrated because when everyone mentions Kreator albums, none of them ever mention "Coma of Souls."
This, along with Kreator's first four releases, is nothing sort of brilliant. Excellent thrashing riffs, machine gun drums, killer solos, chilling vocals, and excellent songwriting. These songs aren't generic thrash themes. "When the Song Burns Red" is very shocking because it's about the horrors of global warming and it was made back in 1990, LONG before Al Gore went on a campaign to get everyone aware of it. "People of the Lie" mocks the Third Reich and their heinous acts across Europe. "Coma of Souls" is a very chilling song about your fears coming to reality, and "Agents of Terror" is about government-control with violence and fear; hmmm..., can you think of a certain guy in the Oval Office whose doing that as we speak?
If you love Kreator or thrash in general, "Coma of Souls" should be in your collection. Not only is the music good, but it's so chilling that the subject matter has become relevent sixteen years after it's release.
Forget about Rammstein, Kreator kicks their weak arses.
Hallucinative Comas.......2005-12-16
I am the biggest Kreator's fan on earth... yes, I am and you are not! I had the priviledge to meet Mille Petrozza 2 years ago and let me tell you that he is a terrific guy. So now I not only respect him as a musician but as a person as well.
About this record... It has it all: violence, brutallity, melody, heavy riffs, rawness, attitude and Hate. Yes, Hate! I would dare to say that what really makes this band is the "hate" that they proyect. They hate you, me, themselves, the album's producer, the sound engineer, etc... I mean, you can feel the hate that Mille Petrozza feels for the world on every song.
The first time I heard "When the sun burns red" I was totally amazed by the force of this song... it's just incredible! The rest of the songs are really good. Now, I have to point out that "People of the lie" really stands out from the rest of the songs. Great message by the way!
The only flaw (in my opinion) is that the last 2 songs are somehow weaker than the rest... I read an interview that Mille gave to a magazine (on the net) and he accepted that on this CD there are a couple of fillers. I will not call these songs "fillers", but they are not as good as the rest.
Overall My rate will be 8.5 out of 10. This is pure trash metal!
Go and Buy it.. you wont regret it.
Thrash with skill!.......2005-12-10
This is a great CD. I purchased the cassette tape back in 1990 and loved every song on it. Great era for thrash metal too! I even have the People of the Lie music video taped from The Headbangers Ball on MTV as well as an interview with Mille by Ricky Rackman. Classic stuff for sure. One of the better Kreator albums of their career. Highly recommended. Also pick up Violent Revolution and Enemy of God. All great music to work out to, it breathes energy...
