Another chapter for a band that continues to maintain a mostly steady career... .......2005-07-24
I have to admit that when a band starts...they usually start off decent, great or terrible. Then, the band usually continues to improve/degrade the sound that they started with depending on how they started. I've heard so many bands that have started off so crappy and have made themselves respectable and I have heard bands where they started off excellent and basically made a decline. Well, I'm glad to say that Napalm Death doesn't really fall into either category. They have for the most part of their career...consistenly put out good music. This CD is just another regular Napalm Death CD and won't really change your opinion on the band too much. It just remains testament to the fact they are a good band. Infact I gave this CD a "4" because its just a normal Napalm Death CD...which is still better than most in the genre.
METAL.......2004-07-20
I am a metal head in a big way and am very into the heavy, heavy stuff-Hatebreed,Slayer,Cannibal Corpse,Lamb Of God,e.t.c and I
never really heard Napalm Death.Well a freind of mine gave me this cd and I must say this cd kicks ass in a big way.Not much
to say great vocals, great brutal riffs, and some insane drumming
this is a favorite of mine and Napalm Death are a new favorite band of mine.
My god, wonderful brutallity.......2004-01-19
I LOVE THIS CD. This is my first Napalm death cd and I am in awe. They are absolutly infectious. The musicianship of the band is great, everything very tight, and great production, as well as great vocals. Maybe my favorite grind album ever. \m/
Me no likey!!.......2003-02-22
This is thee single worst ND album ever!!! After 'Diatribes' n 'Inside the torn apart' I thought ND would make another classic album but instead they gave into the pressure of their peers and decided to make an incoherent album that neither challenges the listener or even has a remotely memorable riff. I never thought I would have to wear a bag over my head after listening to an ND album but wow a bag would not have been enough and from the looks of it the two albums after it have been just as boring as this cup holder disguised as a music CD.
TRASH CAN IT!!!
Oww, my neck hurts..........2002-03-23
...because I was just playing this album in my car and involuntarily banging my head until it nearly flew off. If you're looking for a band that plays uncompromising, unrelenting metal simply because they feel like it, you can't do any better than Napalm Death. In a grindcore genre too often defined by gross-out vocals, one-note guitars, and all-too-brief songs, Napalm have crafted a superb technical statment. Yeah, the songs on "Words..." are all pretty much the same, but the level of creativity and musicianship here on display more than makes up for any deficiency in the diversity department. Every song on this album boasts an absolutely crushing groove, and the mix of Barney Greenway's leather lungs and the technicality of the music is mind-blowing. There is not even one second of filler on "Words From the Exit Wound;" hell, it's worth checking out even if only for the title.
