Champagne Music!.......2006-07-09

Thank goodness that these well filled CDs of selections from three of Offenbach's most entertaining and tuneful operettas are available. Exactly the thing to provide some hearty nourishment for Winter nights. Ideal also for a Summer barbecue. In both cases, a glass of champagne, or at least some other bubbly beverage, would be good to have at hand - everything here no doubt will call for a toast or several.

It is so nice to be able to hear in these translations the witty words, sung with welcome clarity and meaning by these admirable artists. As I recall, there were no microphones in sight, and perhaps not even used, when this production of Orpheus In The Underworld was brought to Australia, with a few cast changes but the same sparkle as shown here. Crisp diction and lively, often lovely, singing - a great recipe for enjoyable listening indeed.

The recording sounds a bit shrill here and there, but what a churlish quibble; to Hades with such curmudgeonly qualifications! This is music to raise the spirits, and not just those from Hades.

this recording still lives and i love that. it has a diverse sound because of the band's 10yr history. i can tell you this. the Grave's pinnicle and finest moment is preserved in the final track, Walk In June. the entire journey was worth this song. it is a precurser to my new work in flame. find us in 05!

after ten years, this is the band's debut. i'm the singer from empty grave. i thank all who have listened. this c.d. is all we have for you to get now. it is the sum of our inspiration from the last decade. please enjoy and look for james cause in the future. music is still very much a part of our lives. thank you, thank you

ah, the power of potential.......2001-02-02

WARNING: this is not your average commercial band. this album is full of raw, uncut talent that has not yet been tainted by the corrosion of stardom. this is when a band is at it's creative height. and this is it, boys. this is where the beauty begins. the vocals give you an overpowering sense of nostalgia. the lyrics were obviously written by someone who is on the verge of thoughts only reached by the rare ones. And the drummer...the drummer just blows me away in every way i can think of.

I live in Chi-Town and music is everywhere I turn .. I met Jim in Chicago when I was filming Sea of Winds track #2 off Should've Been Gone. Jim Was Acting and Directing the Video which we finished in one weeks time. I listen to Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, The Verve, RadioHead, of course and "EMPTYGRAVE". I think bands like this sometimes never get the chance for the common ears of America, if they were in England ....,Oasis whoud have never made it so fast. The album is like Dragracing in a old Ford Fury on Fire, It feels like Wasabee under a piece of Sushi or if you never had sushi and you like to jump out of planes, as you falling from 2000 feet you will feel "Stopheriad" trax ? pushing your mind to the floor. I herd They were writing some top secret music for 2001 hope I can keep track of these guys and I saw them live @ Heaven and took alot of ----* after the show the birds filled the parking lot across the street, and I have never felt the same since... If you get a chance, get this before it's Gone Ps If you read any bad Reviews , I bet they are in some Frat and want some Nsinc to clear their empty heads from their Empty lives. love CHUCK DUMPSTAR *
