Album Description
Enslaving the Masses: The past comes alive with a double dose of brutality. Disc one provides remixed versions of songs from Imperial Doom and other previous albums. Plus, it even includes the infamous "Horror Infinity" demo now put to cd. Disc two is a "live" album but nothing weak here.Songs from past albums along with the cover "Deadlock" thrown in for good measure. A must for the Monstrosity fan.Customer Reviews:
NOTHING SPECIAL AT ALL ,POOR DEMOS+LIVE SONGS.......2003-05-09
Incredible Live Death Metal.......2001-11-02
The real value of this collection is in disc two, which is an excellent set of live tracks recorded on a recent tour. The sound quality is excellent, and the band's musicianship is top-notch. They also play live covers of DBC's "Deadlock" and Slayer's "Angel of Death," both of which are killer and worth going out of your way to hear. Overall, this may be some of the best live death metal ever recorded.
The live disc truly puts this collection over the top as a must-have for all Monstrosity fans. But if you're just getting into the band, like any collection of demos and live tracks, this probably isn't the place to start. Start with "In Dark Purity" instead and work backwards into their collection. There is no such thing as a bad Monstrosity album.
