Album Description
2006 release from House of Lords, the hard rocking 'supergroup' formed by former Giuffria/Angel keyboardist Greg Giuffria in 1988. World Upside Down is quite possibly the best CD House Of Lords has ever released. Frontiers.
Album Details
House of Lords Are One of the Most Important and Definitive Bands of Arena Hard Rock Era. The Group Released Three Very Successful Albums from 1988 to 1992 Before Disbanding. A Decade Later in 2003, They Returned to Deliver the Album "the Power and the Myth" to Great Acclaim. After a Short Tour, Singer James Christian Decided to Continue with the Band's Trademark Aided by his Original Bandmate Gregg Giuffria. A New Line-up Added New Life Into the Grandiose Sound: Jimi Bell on Guitars, B.j Zampa on Drums and Jeff Kent on Bass and Keyboards Make Up the New Powerhouse Band. Awesome rock.......2007-05-13
All the songs are good; excellent use of keyboards along with the guitar riffs.
The intro and the 2nd song are awesome!
HOL is a really good rock band.
Awesome.......2007-05-03
I rated this album a 5 because I thought a 4 was too low. Great songwriting, great melodies, great hooks. There are no "filler" songs on this album - ALL the songs are good. I would go so far as to say the best album House of Lords has recorded. Well worth the money.
Their best one to date...hands down!.......2007-04-26
I've been following House of Lords for quite sometime now and I have to say, this is their best one yet! Eventhough one of my favortie drummers played on Sahara, Tommy Aldridge, World Upside Down surpasses that release as well. Every song is melodic hard rock bliss with their hooks, choruses, big guitars, big drums, intricate keyboards, and the big bottom end! If you like classy hard rock music in the vein of Whitesnake, Hardline, and Danger Danger, then buy House of Lords' "World Upside Down". Don't wait another minute!

House Of Lords - Melodic Rock At It's Best!!.......2007-04-21
World Upside Down is a must for any House Of Lords fan or an melodic rock fan in general. It's a shame to see that this CD is not available in wide release in the USA. Spend the extra few dollars and pick it up as an import.. well worth it!
Not quite at their best...but close!.......2007-04-16
House of Lords are one of the most underrated bands from eighties/nineties. Their debut album should have seen success like the Whitesnake 1987 album, but was not promoted heavily enough. Most fans have been waiting for a return to form. Well, this album is close, but bringing the sound more up to date. It's probably third best to Sahara and their self-titled album, but is a worthy purchase if you like hard melodic rock from the late eighties.

Lords of Acid's 1997 release, Our Little Secret is an open book. Never daring to depart from lyrics that read like the stage directions of a porno flick, fans need only focus their attention on Lords of Acid's musical agenda. The songs still maintain the basic acid house recipe of fat, buzzy bass lines and disorienting rhythms. This album adds a little of all current dance music trends, from trip hop to drum & bass to keep the formula current. "LSD=Truth" rattles with amped organic drum sounds reminiscent of Meat Beat Manifesto. The first couple of tracks are drilled with speed metal guitars. Stylistically, this album is merely a tangent to Lords of Acid's debut album Lust. If this is your first Lords of Acid purchase, go with Lust--it's a better album. If you are collecting, the lyrical shock value will have worn thin on you by now, but the music is twisted enough to keep you engaged. --Beth Bessmer
Customer Reviews:
just a tease.......2007-06-13
This album is a little disappointing for a LOA fan, especially after the orgasmic explosion of Voodoo-U. They stay true to the format as far as lyrics go but most of the songs sounded kind of weak and cheap. It's a decent album, with good tracks like Lover, Rubber Doll, [....], and You Belong to Me. If this is your first experience with the Lords, don't write them off yet, go and get Lust and Voodoo-U( their first two albums) and then prepare for the electronic orgy!
A little better than one would expect.......2004-10-07
If you were to hear the singles for "Pussy" or "Rubber Doll", you would most likely not think much of this band if you weren't already a fan. Because they're not all that good. Rubber's okay, but Pussy really is just a lame novelty track. Much like the hidden 14th track "Horror Movie" which revives the exact same song from track 6 with different lyrics, which actually mis-states the titles of multiple movies. Well had this have been an EP with these tracks as well as the following songs: "Doggie Tom", "Finger Lickin' Good", and "Spank My Booty", this would have been one supremely weak CD.
The tracks on this album can be divided up into four very neat areas. One is for the songs that aren't worthy of a second listen: Horror, Doggie, Finger, Spank, and Pussy are those 5 songs that bring the album down far below the band's standard set by the mostly excellent Lust. Next are 2 strangely likeable tracks, which aren't really good but still kind of fun. One is "Me and Myself", and the other is the forementioned Rubber.
Next are the pleasent surprises- "The Power is Mine", "Lover", "Man's Best Friend", and "Deep Sexy Space". Lover is the album's best single (though the version available on the Lover single is the KMFDM "Cake Mix"), and Best Friend is a strangely passionate (and a little sad) song that tells the sympathetic story of a prostitute who's got no one but herself. Power is a great theme for dominatrixes that puts men in their place, on the floor and in chains; DSS is about aliens with 'little tools'.
And finally, the albums best songs are "Cybersex", "LSD=Truth", and "You Belong to Me" - which are all single worthy, and all better than the singles chosen for the album. LSD is definitely the album's very best, with the very lovely ambient sound that meshes with pure house for the ultimate musical 'trip experience' and vocals that finally put the great trivial sense of rage to good use- "bloodshot eyes needle vain bright colors / HIGHER HIGHER! / MORE! MORE power brain white doves!" which fades into a truly beautiful chorus- "he's on the inside, in his own world", that also makes this a true Lords of Acid career highlight.
Cybersex is the album's best dance / rave song, and holds it's own up next to the likes of "I Must Increase My Bust" and "Take Control". The second you hear it, you'll be moving faster than you have in (well, that depends on the last time you listened to the band) some time. And lastly, You Belong to Me is so captivating, it's hard to believe it's by Lords of Acid. It's obsessiveness is easy to relate to and it's hopelessly aggressive lyrics are the stuff of eternal anthems. It's just too bad the band doesn't give the music a little more room to impact like the message of the song.
So considering that this album is sold on the strength of it's singles, it's great that there are some real incredible songs apart from the singles to make this release a must-have for fans of this genre of techno / rave. Well, at least this a serious improvement over Voodoo-U.
Sexy and Wicked.......2004-07-24
LOA are just plain amazing. Other musical acts have tried to imitate their sound but have failed miserably. I purchased "Our Little Secret" when it first came out but have rediscovered it recently and I'm still thrilled by it to this day. This album touches upon all sounds of music from hard house, rock, happy-hardcore, industrial... but the LOA way.
LOA.......2003-11-04
lords of acid is by far one of the most original groups out there with their entirely own sound...this album is pretty solid, (...) its amusing and actually good all at the same time. This is a great cd to listen to while ur walking to class or background music while working...its definatley not something to sit and analyze...but it always puts a smile on ur face, one of the better LOA cds
A Grain of Salt.......2003-10-02
"Our Little Secret" by LOA is one of their very best. The vocals of Nikki combined with the spine shattering techno-esque beat and controversial lyrics will knock you on your ass. It is a fun cd to listen to, and it has been a star of my cd collection for years.

Anyone conscious during the early '90s is probably already familiar with anti-anthems like "Rough Sex," "Let's Get High," and "I Must Increase My Bust," Lords of Acid singles that combined the rough sounds of '80s Belgian new beat with England's emerging rave scene and added enough nasty thoughts to make Larry Flynt blush scarlet. But for those who were left out, here's a synopsis: Lust is sleaze techno at its best. The lyrics and music extol the virtues of decadence and excess to the apocalyptic soundtrack of pop rave music. This album is best experienced if you forget about the intellectual pretensions of proper techno and the field-of-daisies optimism of garage, since there's nothing but pure, unadulterated, unabashedly adolescent id in this house. --Matthew Corwine

I Love This CD!.......2006-02-24
Ok, so I was in High School when this came out... and I LOVED it. I lost the tape somewhere along the way and always wondered in the back of my mind "What the heck is the name of that group that sings about sex"? Thank goodness for the browse styles option here on Amazon because it helped me find this album again.
This is a must have! Not one song on here is boring or corny. Next to Rob Zombie, this stuff will most certainly spice up your day. :)
Some of the greatest f__k music ever.......2005-03-22
This album has served as a soundtrack for some of the HOTTEST sex I have EVER had. If you're looking for a superb mood setter for your next group sex orgy this is a must-play. Though it came out many years ago, it still pumps out lusty, sexy, nasty groovy-ness without fail. Pick this up and let it work its power on you and yours
Lust... A Very Sexual CD.......2005-03-18
Well though the sexual noises seem very noticeably fake indeed this CD is pretty good... I think it's mainly made for people who are busy getting busy most of the time and the CD would work to play while doing so... since it sings about sex most of the time.... song 10 is my personal favorite....
If you own genitals, own this album.......2004-08-15
This album has a very simple message..(...) Exactly what we want to listen to when we're feeling sleazy and don't want to be bothered with lyrics that require a trace of deep thought. This album is just the audio equivelent to good adult fun. It's nothing more than fun, sleazy dance music with tongue-in-cheek lyrics and no trace of intellectual stimulation. Isn't that what we want most of the time whether we admit it or not? It's not music for concentration on work or philosophy or anything else where I have to resort to using my brain. No, this is something you listen to when you're in a car full of girls where you can exchange winks and/or gestures. This is an album for our 'mammalian' side. By 'mammalian' I don't mean Disney's lion king, I mean nature show's 'lions getting it on in the field'. Hey, we may be humans, but we need to loosten up a bit when it comes to our sexuality. Rigermortis should not be the only way to talk about getting stiff without blushing.
All Time Greatest Couples CD.......2004-02-28
without a doubt this is the HOTTEST couples CD EVER. Hands down, no question.

Good CD.......2007-05-10
This was my first LOA CD. It took me a while to get used to but believe me, it's full of weird, unique and quality songs.
nothing "Great" about it.......2005-10-26
If you want Lords of Acid's greatest hits, just save yourself tons of $ and simply buy the album Voodoo U as it is an awesome album, and their ONLY good work.
Voodoo U was an electronic kind of album that broke the mold and for the first time in history, made techno music a bit creative and interesting
The songs on that record are catchy, fun, and sexy
But every album before Voodoo U and after it is utterly boring garbage
It's hard to believe the same people behind Voodoo U could put out album after album of junk
All of their other albums are repetative, typical, uncreative, un-energetic, drum-machine garbage.
Voodoo U had a fierce, heavy, sonic sound that was very distinguishable.
The other albums sound like C+C Music Factory, and could've been written by anyone with a Casio keyboard.
It's also proposterous that this "greatest hits" album doesn't even have the song 'Voodoo U' which is the song that put these guys on the map
So save yourself the time and money and just go get the Voodoo U album
Believe me, it's the only one you'll like
Unique.......2005-09-23
I listen to a community college radio station that has no set format. KEPC [Colorado Springs]plays a mixture of music. One song I heard recently was from Lords of Acid. So I ordered the CD. Very unique music. Not Carpenters, Basa, or Enya. But not Def Leppard either.
music thats right to the piont.......2005-09-15
I love very sexual music with kind of a techo feel. A friend of mine awhile back showed me the music video to "Pussy." And I never could forget the song. I looked for the CD, but seemed not to be able to get it in stores. I guess its just too sexual for them. But thats good, cause that means I want to hear it.
I havent been able to get into every song yet. But there are some songs on there that you will want to listen to over and over again. So I do recomend this CD to anyone that wants to find there inner pornstar.
Praise the Lords........2005-08-31
As with most artists, a collection is a good place to start, or end. No problems with what's here, and for the most part it's aggressive techno. "Gimmie Gimmie" is an excellent track, and a good start to the disc. "Pussy" is classic LOA, and "Crablouse" is hardcore and catchy. "Am I Sexy?" has kind of 60's retro feel, and was also on one of the Austin Powers soundtracks. Track after track is great, there are few low-points, and it ends with the wonderful "Nasty Love". I only really wish "I Must Increase My Bust" made the cut. I mean really, who couldn't go for more t*ts?

HOL rocks.......2007-05-13
Simply a great album; worth buying.
"I just want to be loved" is clearly the commercial hit of the album.
This is a great one........2003-06-11
I never thought this album would come out remastered. I'm glad I was wrong. This is a good sounding remaster. The base might be just a bit overdone though. I'm always for great base but it seems to overwhelm this disc just a bit. I think overall it does sound better than the old CD, but I have kept the old one just the same until I can compare them a bit more. The music of course is fantastic. Great guitar work, great keys, James Christian's vocals are great as well. My favorite tracks are definately "Lookin' for Strange", and "Slip of the Tongue", although there are no bad ones on this album.
Sizzling Debut - From Gregg Giuffria and Company.......2002-08-14
Whew!! This CD simply grabs you and won't let go! I had purchased this CD several years back on the RCA label. I was pleased to learn that AxeKiller had recently re-mastered this epic of late 80s Pomp. Axekiller has improved the quality of this recording considerably. Also, the CD slip cover scores points as well - nicely done packaging!
From "Pleasure Palace" through to "Jealous Heart" this release is strong and will not disappoint.
The opener, "Pleasure Palace", showcases the keyboard mastery of Gregg Giuffria - one of the most creative players in the rock business. The entire band executes this number perfectly.
James Christian and Lanny Cordola deliver scorching performances on "Jealous Heart", a track co-written by Giuffria/Eisley. This track is high on emotion and really hits hard. After a few listens you may well concede it to be the finest song on this release.
Yes, this is truly what rock was meant to be. Just think how great rock music would be today if 80s metal was not "intentionally killed" by record companies and disgusting (can you say "baggy"?) 90s fashion and mentality.
A

i love this album, pure pomp rock style only done with muscianship. every song on here is a masterpiece no denying it. it has 3 awesome factors: Made avaible to the public,Remasterd superb audio sound, and the packaging is enhanced to benefit the most envious fan!! yeah it may cost a few dollars more than a normal album but it is one of the best albums released back then its just that not many people knew or cared about these guys. or they got lumped in with those corprate bands. classic album indeed.
Debut album re-issue.......2000-09-20
France's Axe Killer labels latest re-issue is the House of Lords first album (CD). This has always been one of my favorite albums, and I was eager to hear the "new and improved" version. A bit of background, House Of Lords was formed out of the group "Giuffria"(who released 2 albums, the 1984 self-titled, and the 1986 Silk + Steel). Greg Giuffria (keyboards), Lanny Cordola (guitar), Chuck Wright (bass- who played on the first G. album) and new members, drummer Ken Mary, and vocalist James Christian (who exec producer and label owner Gene Simmons had recommended). The two later releases from this group featured various band members (between the two Giuffria albums, and the three HOL albums, there was never the same line-up twice)! A few songs on this album (Pleasure Palace, Slip of the Tongue, Under Blue Skies, and Jealous Heart) were written during the Giuffria time period, with then vocalist David Glen Isley sharing the writing credit. If you have always had this album, as I have (which originally came out on CD, Cassette, *and* vinyl in 1988 on now-defunct Simmons label) there are no surprises. If not, you missed a classic and now is your chance. The album is a heavy keyboard driven (with a great extended keyboard based intro. to the first track, Pleasure Palace), yet with the guitar parts blending and countering perfectly. The songs range from the heavier side (Pleasure Palace, Slip of the Tongue, Hearts of the World) to upbeat melodic rockers (I Wanna Be Loved, Lookin' for Strange, Under Blue Skies, Call My Name) to a heavy/power-ballad style where the band really achieves their own sound (Edge Of Your Life, Love Don't Lie, Jealous Heart). A bonus is the 1 minute acoustic guitar piece by Lanny Cordola prior to the last track, Jealous Heart. This album seems to continue in the direction that the band Giuffria was going in, although overall it's heavier than Silk + Steel, yet the instrument arrangements are similar. It is also similar to the two other HOL releases, Sahara (also recently re-issued by Axe Killer) and the hard to find Demon's Down, as well as James Christian's solo album, Rude Awakening. Regarding the "re-packaged" version, I have to give high marks. The original packaging was a black and white booklet with lyrics and credits. (The vinyl version had a clear plastic insert, no lyrics, credits on the back cover.) The Axe Killer version has a full color booklet, with lyrics, credits, individual member photos and a group photo, and a brief one page liner note mainly on the background of Greg and his previous bands. The back insert has the serial number listed out of the 3000 copies being made, and the jewel case comes in a cardboard outer sleeve, with a larger front cover emblem, and the song listing on the back. The "bonus track" ...well, it's actually a remix of Love Don't Lie, which appears to be the "radio edit" (read: shorter) version. The second verse is cut out, some background vocals are removed, and the guitar is a bit buried compared to the full length version. I suspect that this remix is the same version that was previously available on the CD single back in '88. As for re-mastering, I compared it to the original CD version, and the re-mastered version has an overall higher output volume, the bass and high end are accentuated, yet the guitar volume is mixed back (although I think this is just a perceptive result of having the bass and high end increased). It sounds to me as if the "re-mastering" was done by processing the master through a compressor and aural exciter, with slight equalization, as opposed to performing a full remix of the original multitrack tape. Overall, the sound quality of this version just blows away the original -- greater highs, greater lows, and overall clarity. This album is a collection of well-written songs, expertly arranged, well played, and has a very current heavy kicking sound, especially considering it was originally recorded in 1988. What I feel set this band apart and defined their sound was the complex interplay between the keyboards and guitars. Both are very strong, yet don't try to overpower each other. All of the songs achieve a sense of power, and retain melodic elements -- no screaming or repetitious riffing here! One of my fav albums and a great example of melodic/hard rock. This album originally came out with the right sound at the right time, and it's nice to see it re-issued now. Even if you already have the original CD,(or CD and vinyl as I do) the re-issue is worth picking up for the improved sound quality alone, and the booklet is a bonus! With the recent news that HOL has reformed (with the line-up from this album) to do a new studio album, I look forward to new material from this group

lords of acid rockin erotic stryle.......2007-06-12
This is the second album from LOA and I think that it is their best. It is harder both lyrically and instrumentally than anything else they have done. "The Crablouse" is definitely my favorite LOA song. If you're looking for some good, hard industrial/techno, then look no further.
Best cd ever!.......2006-05-19
The music is great, and so are the lyrics. If you want to buy a new cd,make it this one! And actually I am easily offended, but I love this cd!
For a wonderful romantic evening.............2004-02-11
What does this sound like? I think the cover says it best. Musically it's mostly aggressive techno. Lyrically it's pretty hardcore, which is good. The song titles say alot. The only band comparison I can think of, might be some "My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult" on speed, hold the Satan, pass the sex and drugs. With songs like "The Crablouse", "Do What You Want To Do", and "Out Comes The Evil", this is easily their best album, and probably better than "Greatest T*Ts".
One of the Lords greatest works, a must for any techno fan.......2003-12-20
Lords of Acid first appeared on the scene with their debut album "Lust", a mix of club-savvy techno, tongue-in-cheek humor, and come-hither lyrics. While tracks like "I Must Increase My Bust" and "Rough Sex" gained them attention, the music itself was not much different from the rest of the dance world at the time. Perhaps aware of this themselves, the Lords (Oliver Adams, Praga Khan, and Jade 4 U) went back to the studio and released a fanastic 2nd album, the wonderful "Voodoo U."
"Voodoo" takes the lords in a different direction than "Lust", fusing dynamic club rhythms to the grit of industrial rock to form a deliciously bitter hybrid. While the tone of "Lust" was playful and light, "Voodoo" delves into a much darker form of humor and a more nihilistic view of sexuality. To be sure, the lyrics are just as sexually-charged, if not more, but when taken with the tone of the album, the Lords' shadowy collective id is much more apparent.
Several classic Lords tracks can be found here, including the undeniably driving "Crablouse" (both in its original form and in an interesting if not entirely superior remix), the creepily seductive "Out Comes The Evil", and the aggressively raunchy "She And Mrs. Jones." "Mister Machoman" and "Young Boys" give Jade 4 U (whose vocals are superb throughout) the chance to play dominatrix-as-berserker, and she does it so well that you can't help but want to give in to her, no matter what. Jade even tones it down for the sensual, alluring bonus track "The Real Thing", purring like the hottest 60's sex-kitten that never was.
It's when the Lords diverge from their erotic focus that the tracks' quality becomes tenuous. Several tracks on "Voodoo" are an attempt by the Lords to be serious, to talk about darker issues. Sometimes, like the hilarious ode to an irreedemable stoner "Marijuana In Your Brain" and the wrenchingly emotional tale of abuse "Special Moments", these work to a great degree. Other times, like the heavy-handed anti-drug "Blowing Up Your Mind" and the song attacking the pimp "Dirty Willy", the songs come off as preachy, with simplistic lyrics that reduce the impact that the song might have had. An unrelated misstep comes in the form of "Do What You Wanna Do", a well-intentioned but ultimately mediocre song.
Regardless of these few instances, this is a solid album, and a must for any fan of the Lords. While not wildly divergent in its style, the tracks are all wonderfully arranged and delivered: even when they don't connect well with the listener, you have to admire the effort put into them. Of special note in this regard is the bonus track "Young Boys Go To Studio 54", re-imagining the grunge of "Young Boys" into a disco number so masterfully crafted in retro style that you'd swear it's the Village People-Donna Summer duet that was never released.
All in all, a fantastic album with only a few flaws that deserves to be in any techno enthusiats' collection. 4 out of 5.
Wonderful.......2003-11-20
Well what can I say ?I love it ...and this is an album that fuses rock and techno with other elements of music together! What a great job the acidheads did with this cd.This is one cd that rocks from start to finish. It's just as good as Greatest T.its.It's about rocknroll and techno ...who could ask for more?I highly recommend this one!

rubber doll gets used a lot.......2007-06-14
Here is another good solid single from LOA. Rubber Doll is a pretty decent song to begine with. With a good number of good remixes(although a couple are a little to long)this is a must have for any LOA fan.
Old school dance techno-meets hard core attitude........1998-09-08
This single takes Rubber Doll and turns it into a great work of art. The already dance techno styling of LOA combined with their hard core attitude are even better on this cd. This cd takes the original version of Rubber Doll and only makes it better.

Well, Finally!.......2005-06-26
I've waited for this album for a very long time. I hold HOL as a band dear to me for its great music and, for the sort of connectedness one feels for a band without a mass following.
After 1992's Demon's Down, HOL literally disappeared from the shelves. I couldn't understand why, Demon's Down had been such a great album. I remember looking for a copy of Sahara circa '94 and the manager of the store had to pull out the entire music catalog (a 10 pound monstrosity of a binder -before mass use of the internet, kids) and HOL was nowhere to be found.
Back in 2000, there were news on the net that an HOL album was in the works, and sure enough, a pretty good band website materialized. And months later, just like that, it disappeared (while it was still under construction).
Late last year, this little jewel was finally released. My first impression; where's Giuffria? No explanation, no dedication, no short history of the last 12 years, no website is given. Alas, seems like Giuffria was made a solo record deal and abandonned HOL.
The packaging is just so-so; the graphic design could be better, even mispelling "Miguel" (Ruiz) for "Migurl" on the sleeve -and that is the first thing one sees when opening the case. Featured are some photos of the band, who, to their credit are looking sharp.
Taking over the keys are a few promising young keyboardists; I was very excited to see Derek Sherinian as one of them, thinking what a Dream Theater alumni could do for HOL exposure-wise, but alas, Sherinian is only credited one song. Sven Martin previously with Tatu (hey, give the kid a break!) does a fine job but Allan Okuye gets my vote. Yet, while the choice of songs for Okeuye may have given him more room for creativity, Martin is a great keybordist in his own right.
`Today' is a fine song (written by another band), but lyrically it doesn't quite take off. `Am I the Only One' is an un-impeachable song; worthy to be on their "Best of" album if they ever release one. `The Power and the Myth' is an instrumental, featuring Sherinian and it allows Ken Mary to do some exhilarant, heart-pumping drumming. 'The Man That I Am' (written by the the same band that wrote 'Today') is a beautiful, melodic song that is both helped and hindered by the simplicity of its lyrics. It is inspired, bombastic and touches the right heart strings, but yet remains more soulful than lyrical. 'Bitter Sweet Euphoria' is a very strong song and one of the heaviest in HOL's repertoire, another candidate for a "Best of".
Worth mentioning is that gone are the double entrende songs like 'Shoot' or 'Johnny's got a mind of his Own', which even as a teenager I felt were too juvenile for the band.
Power and Myth album has a controled aggressiveness that's fresh and means business. There is a distinctive direction which the band followed; it is spiritual, mystical and the songs attest to their soul searching. It is a more mature effort than their previous albums which nevertheless keeps all the teeth and heart I'd expect from HOL.
The nagging feeling I get from The Power and the Myth is that the band just had to release it, even if it wasn't up to the standard of their previous works. It needed more work and production, although you can tell HOL wanted, and did, the best they could do before releasing it. And that saddens me a bit, because this little gem is not as good as it could have been, and because HOL's work will once again go under-appreciated.
When I purchased this album last Christmas there were "only three copies left" yet six months later there are only a handful of reviews, and it has already fallen bellow the 200,000 mark.
I hope House of Lords will try again; they're much too talented and creative to go unheard. Five stars seems a tiny bit too generous, but three would be grossly under-rating the album, and this band has had too much of that.
Pure Rock N Roll CD.......2005-04-26
I just started listening to The Power and The Myth and wasn't sure about it at first. But I listened to it more and more and sounds good each and every time. Although I was disappointed that the awesome keyboards of Greg Guiffera wasn't to be heard, it still rocks and is a freshing CD to put into my stereo.
