Asphyx is the first death metal band i ever got into. This is the first cd i bought of them about 8 years ago. I just recently put it in my cd player again since I haven't listened to it for a long time. It is one of the finest "death" metal cd's put out. Even though the songs are slower paced and aren't blazing 1,000 mile an hour riffs, I still love it. The band is tight as hell, if not one of the tightest I've heard in a long time. The production is great. The guitars are thick, you can hear and feel the bass and you can actually tell what the drummer is playing. So in all: great songs,great musicianship,great production= great cd!!
