Great Band Great CD.......2007-07-04

The sleeze beez are one of my favorite bands of all time. I am very surprised that this band didn't go huge. If you are a fan of 80's hard rock I know that you will like this album. The best song on this album is ''stranger than paradise'' but every song is a tune killer

Ok..to my 2 previous reviewers , let me clarify. I'm the drummer's ex-girlfriend. The Beez changed vocalist after Powertool(2nd album) because of some stress w/ writing process. Jan Koster is in another band, as is Donnie. Both in their homeland of Amsterdam ,Holland.
This CD is all power metal.. Great tunes with early Crue party fever in the beat. But these guys had something different, they were great musicians in their own right. Beautiful vocals, genuis drummer that writes tunes. If you ever stood in front of a great band and just glowed with the feeling they were giving you, you NEED THID CD! Thanks!

UNFORTUNATELY FORGOTTEN.......2004-09-10

Hard rock 80's metal at the best. Too bad that this band was just a blink at the end of the 80's, maybe they were at the wrong place at the wrong time.

They played damn good and this cd is as fun as any Motley, Poison or Ratt cd is.

I don't know too much about this band. As long as I know they are from East Europe and they changed the vocalist before this album went out. I know that this is the most "easylistening" cd that they released , too. Some son of #/&%$ stole my cd collection 5 years ago and I used to have a live album which is much more harder than this.

The songs are straight and they don't try to be perfect, they are just fun. Rock in the western world has a great sound to start any concert, Screwed blue'n'tattoed is great, Stranger than paradise is the best song in the cd (they even made a video), very much like a Bon Leppard song, Heroes die young is very similar to any Great White song and the (let's not forget the ballad) slow song for the cd is This time is as good as any Winger or Poison ballad.

If you like to hear something new that is a little bit old, stop looking, this is it.

Highlighths: Stranger than paradise, Rock in the western world, Heroes Die Young.
Lowlights: Maybe that the band couldn't last long enough to make it.

One tune killer, the rest pure FILLER.......2002-03-16

I bought this album for the excellent "Stranger Than Paradise", which is possibly the best 80's hair band song you've never heard - a fun, catchy tune with great group vocals on the chorus, stoopid lyrics, and equal parts crunch and melody. The one thing that partially separates it from the chaff is the guitar solo. The first part is done on mandolin, the second on typical loud electric guitar. Unfortunately, it's the only good tune on an otherwise generic CD. The titles say it all "When The Brains Go To The Balls", "Girls Girls, Nasty Nasty"...you get the picture.

80's Mainstream.......2002-01-28

I love the 80's heavy metal scene. I had never heard of this band but took a flyer on this album in the bargain bin of my local record shop. Boy, I should have bought this when it came out. The title track has the heavy stomp you love and expect from the 80's groups. The whole album is strong and tight. Definitely a must have for you Hair-Freaks...like me.

I had this puppy on vinyl a few years back... had to sell it to pay the utilities. I would definitely recommend it for anyone who likes rockabilly with an edge. It has great vulgar lyrics. Enjoy kiddies.

This is a great CD with songs about the typical subjects you would expect from a metal band and also a few surprises. The songs are fun the way music should be.
