'Kix Live' just happen to be released when there were PLENTY of other top rate metal/hard rock acts doing the same.As for 'Kix Live',no fan should go away disappointed.Was recorded on October 5,1991 at the Ritchie Coliseum in Baltimore,MD and runs a total of 75 minutes.I've only gotten to see Kix play live once,when they opened for Warrant like umteen years back.This disc serves the purpose of providing the listener to a good audio document of what the group was all about at a live shindig.Fun,energetic and kicking ass.My favorite track off here is the foot-stomping fifteen-minute version of "Yeah,Yeah,Yeah",which is fantastic!Other goodies are such Kix anthems/standards,like "Hot Wire","Blow My Fuse","Girl Money" and "Cold Blood".Sorry to report that the band has long split.A great '80's hard rock catalog title to check when you can.

Not that great studio band get their revenge........2001-12-13

Kix were never that great songwriters and their studio albums had one or two killer songs and a lot of inconsistancy. I was never really a Kix fan but knew some in my younger years. I believe in giving credit where credit is due. Much like Kiss' Alive, Kix really show their ability to destroy eardrums live. The production is excellent, the band is charged, and Steve is in great form. All equal up to excellent versions of "Cold Blood", "Same Jame", "Blow My Fuse", "Hot Wire", "Yeah,Yeah,Yeah", "The Itch", "For Shame", and "Girl Money." With some great in-between ranting and prankstering by Steve(sometimes in the middle of a song) all put together for a great live album. Its just too bad they never really put it together in a studio. Probably the best live albums ot the 80's, or one of.

The best live rock n roll band band finally put out a live cd. Every track is winner, For Shame sounds better live than on the Cool Kids cd. Yeah Yeah Yeah live is the best
