Kreator will make you TERRIBLY CERTAIN that Rammsten blows........2006-08-07
I said that because Kreator is so awesome yet so underrated, it makes me puke when everyone gives praise to that awful band called Rammstein. Kreator makes Rammstein look like the Backstreet Boys in the metal world.
Anyway, back to this, like Kreator's other releases, its very fast, heavy, and unrelenting. Songs like "Blind Faith," "Storming with Menace," "Terrible Certainty," and "No Escape" proove that Kreator are the gods of German metal. Much to my surprise, this came with two live tracks, "Riot of Violence," and "Awakening of the Gods."
Anyway if you enjoyed "Endless Pain" and "Pleasure to Kill," you'll LOVE this.
PS, when it comes to thrash albums of 1988, this crushes Metallica's "And Justice For All."
Thrash Essential !.......2005-10-27
Kreator's early beginnings showed the band as a reckless musical unit, inspired by dark groups like Venom and Mercyful Fate, and heavy fast rock acts like Motorhead. their first few albums were crude, but showed a great technical skill and a flair for writing some pretty cool riffs. well, one listen to Terrible Certainty and it becomes perfectly clear why this band has earned it's place in the pantheon of classic thrash! this album is full of non-stop blistering songs that attack the listener with calculated speed and plenty of whiplash tempo changes. the vocals sound fierce and fit the flow of the speed perfectly. the band sounds tighter than ever before and the production is great! the guitar solos are still kind of raw and don't always add the kind of depth and melodic drama that most of their American contemporaries would pull off; but the Terrible Certainty solos sound a little bit better than on past albums. one thing i have also always loved about this album is the creepy cover art, showing two rows of skeletal religious figures along a bridge that leads to a towering demon figure with glaring eyes. awesome concept and this cover was the main reason why i bought this album in the first place (well...it was a cassette tape when i first bought this back in the day). this was actually the first Kreator album i ever bought and it remains my favorite to this day. a totally essential and monumentally inspiring thrash album of very high calibur!
It's a certainty that this CD kicks A**.......2005-09-20
This album is raw, catchy, fast, furious, more raw than the album after "Extreme Aggression" Mille's bark on this one is frightning, and rules, theres not much to say about this one, every song is a keeper, not one bad tune, 36 minutes of pure mayhem, buy it!
certainly not terrible ,but in a good way.......2005-01-10
i've known kreators music since 89s "extreme agression" & liked it enough to buy "coma.." which i also like very much.that was as far as my kreator kollection got for many years.one day i pulled my head out of my ass & sampled some stuff off this one(after reading the wonderful reviews)here on amazon.i was floored !had to have it!! plan to eventuly own em all!!!sorry didn't mean to yell at you.but this is a serious matter,if you're a fan of this kind of music you should purchase it or steal it before you die or lose your hearing!!!!!!!!
1 of the best (-) the guitar solos!.......2004-01-18
This is a good CD with the exception of the guitar solos. Don't give me wrong, this CD has awesome rhythm guitar that's creative and different from anything out there, and out-a-this world drumming. The bass on the other hand was overtaken by all the noise, which leads to the 2nd and last point I don't like about this CD. The music on this album could have been mixed much better. The bass drums, for instance, are very distorted. The producers should have been careful in bringing out Ventor's wicked double-bass drumming. Coming back to the guitar solos that should have never been, they ruin the album if the listener lets them. If you can tune em out, then you can enjoy 1 of the most creative thrash CD's ever. If you want to enjoy other Kreator's albums then Extreme Aggression is the 1.

A band that stayed true to thrash and have not deviated like Metallica.......2006-03-07
If you were into the thrash scene in the 80's and don't have this album I feel sorry for you. This was my first Kreator album I puchased. I just finally got to see them live and they have not changed very much basically still the same. My ex-girlfriend has my copy of the CD. Mille( the singer/guitarist/songwriter) is still full of hate and aggression. This is their 3rd full length album. The first(Endless Pain was real raw but good) Their second a little better and this one even better. The production is better than the 2 previous albums. I am embarrassed to say I don't have all their CD'S in my collection now, but I plan on it. This one I need to get back in my possession. This one of my favorite thrash albums of the 80's. I f you're a true thrasher you had better get this trust me. I grew up on this stuff. Every song is top notch! Buy it...Buy it...Buy it...Buy it...Buy it...Buy it...Buy it...Buy it...!!!!!
