WARNING: DO NOT BUY UNTIL U HEAR THE PREVIEW..........2006-10-22

I've heard quit a few tributes to IM, but this one really blows. The music just has no dynamics, and sometimes even sounds out of tune. If u want to waste some money on classic instruments performing IM songs i recommend that you buy THe Piano Tribute, but do not even bother with this one. It is a rather experimental attempt to play already perfected music and doesn't even give you that satisfaction that you might have had if you are a Metallica fan and have listened to Apocalyptica's tribute to them.

Being an Iron Maiden fan i thought this would be a good one. But Stupid me i didn't read the warnings from other buyers. This is the worst cd ever. well if you pretend its not iron maiden songs being destroyed, i guess it may be acceptable. A waste of money. i will probably toss it out with the rest of the trash. This is my opinion. DO NOT BUY THIS CD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Listen to the warnings of others PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maiden tributes.......2005-09-25

Anyone looking for a Maiden tribute album that doesn't suck? Haha! Get Worlds Only Female Tribute to Iron Maiden by the Iron Maidens... these chicks can rock!!!

Comparatively Disappointing.......2004-12-19

I am a big fan of almost all "String Quartet Tribute to -" 's, but this one is an exception. The arrangements are rather poor and on some tracks, the instruments are slightly out of tune - which is really distracting. They add a set of bongos / congos into the mix, and it feels really foreign and out of place. As much as I love this genre and Iron Maiden, this tribute really does justice to neither.

When Iron Maiden played Run To The Hills as a bonus encore
at Rock In Rio, nobody knew the impact it would later have.
Later in 2001, it was learned that former drummer, Clive Burr
was diagnosed with Multiple Sclorosis. Iron Maiden thought
with the upcoming release of Rock In Rio, it would be
appropriate to release as a single, Run to the Hills and
give the proceeds to a fund set up for the former bandmate
who was a member at the time the song was written. The quality
is much better than the last two live albums and sounds similar
to the live after death version. The added tracks, also were
remastered well and Total Eclipse is my favorite of the two.
The last track is the video of run at rio which will be on the
forthcoming dvd. Again, what a great way to pay tribute to
former bandmate during difficult times. Best of luck Clive.

Cool single.......2003-08-25

For those of you who don't know, former Iron Maiden percussionist (that's drummer for you uneducated folks) Clive Burr became deeply ill. To raise money to help support him, the band rereleased a single with a classic track he played on - Run To The Hills! Read on to see how this single measures up.

Run To The Hills - The Iron Maiden classic. The opening riff is just unbeatable, and since this single was released to benefit Clive Burr, be sure to pay his drumming extra attention; it often goes unappreciated.

Twenty-Two Acacia Avenue (Live) - A live version of a track from the Number Of The Beast album. This is actually the second track in the band's Charlotte The Harlot series. It's an excellent rocker, and this live version is great too.

The Prisoner (Live) - Anothr live version of a track from the Number Of The Beast. This rocker, which features some of Dickinson's finest vocals, is actually based on the cult TV series of the same name.

You also get an enhanced CD video on this CD, which is the Run To The Hills Camp Chaos version. This is an excellent animated video that must be seen to be appreciated.

My only real complaint with this single is the price. For just a dollar or two more, you can get the entire Number Of The Beast album, which includes the studio version of every track on this single.

Classic Song.......2002-03-25

Twenty years later this song is still a metal classic. When
Iron Maiden played this song at Rock In Rio last year as a
bonus encore, nobody knew how big it was at the time. This
single has the original song and two live tracks from 1982's
Beast On Road Tour: 22, Acacia Ave. and The Prisoner. These
two tracks were wonderfully remastered and captures the best
live version of the prisoner I've heard. The last track is a
video of the single with newly added anime style footage of
Eddie which is pretty cool.Remember proceeds from the purchase
of this single go to the Clive Burr MS trust fund. Iron Maiden
is a real class act to show their appreciation and concern for
the former bandmate. Up The Irons!
