The description "cold primitive Black Metal" doesn't even make me listen anymore so often has this phrase been used and abused. However, you SHOULD listen to this band if you're into just that kind of old school Black Metal. Not exactly fast and hectic as many bands after the 93 era with incredible melodies, (I'm not talking about Melodic BM at all, no!) trashing guitars and vocals endlessly hate- and painful - that is Unpure. One may kindly overlook the wrong grammar *g* because there's nothing wrong with their music. It may take time until Unpure's debut unfolds and grows on you as the whole concept seems very simple at first; the lyrics, also written by the two guys Kolgrim and Antte performing the sick hoarse vocals are about the occult and more or less earthly pain, nothing new really, the guitars follow a rigid, very simple chord structure, and listening to it first did make me feel like in trance. And what you'll find in this trance is incredible songwriting abilities, so go Slaves Of The Horned One and buy this album!
