Album Description
Biohazard have always been controversial, as well as radical and uncompromising. The message of their lyrics rigorously documents the way they see themselves and their provocative, critical attitude towards the US establishment. "The guys with money are gangsters, dealers or part of the Mafia. What does that tell young people? That the American dream is a pile of shit," reads a statement from one of their most renowned interviews. Two and a half years after the arrival of Kill Or Be Killed, their latest album, Means To An End, is ready for release, celebrating this unconventional band's familiar hard-as-nails mix of hardcore, metal, punk and heavy drum attacks. Biohazard enlisted the renowned cover artist Ioannis to design the artwork of their current release.
Artistically, Biohazard have improved with every new album, true to their maxim of continuous development. "It's important to crawl before you learn to walk. That has always been our motto," band founder Evan Seinfeld explains, arriving at the conclusion: "At some point you may even be able to fly." In the eyes of their fans, Biohazard learned to fly a long time ago, earning themselves a reputation as a true cult band in over one and a half decades. Autobiographical numbers like My Life, My Way, Filled With Hate or The Fire Burns Inside on Means To An End prove that these musicians are still driven by their anger about the injustice of this world.

A very strong effort from the kings of hardcore.......2007-06-25
"Means to an End", while unfortunately most likely Biohazard's final album, puts a strong end to the career of the best hardcore band to ever be assembled. Biohazard is one of, if not the most underrated band in metal/hardcore. Many people feel most of their albums are the same, but I feel different. Every album has been different, but in a good way. This album is no different. There is not a weak song on the album, and the opener, "My Life, My Way", is one of my all-time favorite Biohazard songs, features some killer, heavy riffs, great lyrics by both Billy and Evan, and a great guitar solo as well. Other fantastic songs include Filled With Hate, which is an angry, autobiographical number which includes great chants and a very strong guitar solo. Break It Away From Me, Kings Never Die, and Don't Stand Alone are great tracks as well. Overall, a very "back to basics" album from our boys from Brooklyn, and disappointing in very few ways. The only reason I don't give this album 5 stars is the last three songs, while all good, appear to be thrown together and are produced poorly. If you are new to Biohazard and want to get an album, I would suggest picking up either "Urban Discipline" or "State of the World Address", as they are absolutely phenomenal, and some of the best(if not the best) in hardcore history. With that being said, this album is a must have for any Biohazard fan, and if you've never heard these guys, this album may make you a huge fan.
To those that think this is the end...wrong.......2005-09-11
This band is the opitome of hardcore. They will always be, and this record proves it. For some of you speculating that this will be Biohazard's last album...Evan Seinfeld (vocals/bass) has addressed that the band's only taking a break and going on to do their side-projects, so don't fret!
kick ass cd.......2005-09-03
kicks ass that's all I can say, and I hope they don't stop making music.
Another solid Biohazard offering.......2005-09-03
Most great bands spend their careers evolving. They will make albums which show the band's growth and maturity; they don't necessarily have to be experimental albums, but they are distinguishable form one another. Then, several albums later, the band comes full circle by making a "back to our roots" album--one which sounds like their earlier albums. Korn and Cypress Hill are two examples of this.
Biohazard, however, spent almost their whole career perfecting their rap-rock formula. Since their 1990 debut, they have tinkered with their sound very slightly--if at all. 2003's "Kill or Be Killed," which extinguished the hip-hop vocals, was Biohazard's first distinguishable album. But Biohazard's new album, this year's "Means to an End," re-adopts the hip-hop influence. This album brings this group back to their roots, and sounds like them circa 1992-1994. Unfortunately, I don't think this Brooklyn-based quartet evolved enough during their career to make a "back to basics" album. Thus,"Means to an End" doesn't bring Biohazard full circle; it's more of a retread. It's almost as if Evan Seinfeld and the gang said "Nuts to this, let's just make an updated version of `Urban Discipline.'"
On the other hand, this might be Biohazard's last album, so it's probably best for them to ride out on the horse they rode in on. Experimental albums could be a disaster for a band, and I don't think someone should end their career with an album that might suck. Thus, it's a wise move for Biohazard to make a back-to-bludgeoning-basics album.
Highlights include:
"My Life, My Way" has booming riffs and (what sounds like) a police siren. And, of course, a very Biohazard-esque shout-along refrain is also included.
"The Fire Burns Inside" has more heavy guitar work, but this song stands out because it has some Hatebreed-esque lyrics: "If you live for nothing, you'll never know why!"
"Filled with Hate" is a highlight because for its lumbering riffs (which almost groove in places), and it even has a guitar solo which is pretty long.
"Break It Away from Me" combines fast hand drumming with riffs which are almost fast enough to sound like a buzzsaw.
"Don't Stand Alone" is a personal favorite, because it might be this record's most aggressive track. The guitar and drum work (which is the fastest on the album) attack like rabid dogs, and lead vocalist Evan Seinfeld is foaming at the mouth with rage.
It's not a great album, but (from the loud riffs, to snarly, trade-off rapping, to concert ready shout-along choruses), "Means to an End" has every ingredient for a solid, trademark Biohazard album. No, it won't convert you if you never liked this band, but this album should definitely please all of Biohazard's fans. And, in the end, what more could you ask for?
The end?.......2005-08-31
Possibly the final album from the Brooklyn born and bred hardcore act Biohazard, "Means to an End" finds the band going back to their roots (as if they ever really left) with a more "Urban Discipline" and "State of the World Address"-era sound than on their previous releases on Sanctuary: 2001's "Uncivilization" and 2003's "Kill or Be Killed". It's a welcome refreshment to hear Evan Seinfeld and co. continuing doing what they've been doing for over a decade amid all the "metal-core" non-sense going on today, with anger fueled lyrics, growling vocals, and some of the most dynamic and heavy guitar work to come from the band in quite some time. Opening "My Life, My Way", "The Fire Burns Inside", "Filled With Hate", and "Don't Stand Alone" are pure, attacking anthems that carry the Biohazard banner, and while "Means to an End" doesn't quite stack up to classics like "Urban Discipline" or "State of the World Address", it's still a force to be reckoned with. If this is indeed the end of Biohazard, let it be known that throughout all the fads that have hit the metal world over the years, this band never compromised, and while they may have missed a step once or twice in a few other releases, they carried themselves all the way, they never forgot their roots, and they will still remain one of the most revered and terribly underrated bands in the history of the genre.

The Best Representation of Biohazard.......2005-08-01
I was a huge Biohazard fan from 6th grade all the way to senior year of high school. Obviously, as I've grown older my tastes have drifted since my days of nonstop Biohazard listening. But here and there I go back and listen to them, and a lot of the stuff is still good. I think that 'State of the World Address' is the best representation of Biohazard. This is the first album I bought from them. No band around this era of time ('94) was combining metal and rap together (well, maybe some bands were but they weren't very good at it.) Biohazard are pioneers at what they created. The songs were truthful, sometimes positive, aware and politically conscious. This is and will always be their best album.
Over time, I don't know what happened to Biohazard. Their last decent album was New World Disorder. After that, they went downhill. They began changing their sound a lot and they're lyrics turned to crap. It's all negativity now. What a waste!
Here's a little review of the albums:
Biohazard (1990) - Kind of cheesy. Bad production. Not really worth buying.
Urban Discipline (1992) - Excellent. Biohazard found their sound on this one.
State of the World Address (1994) - Very good. Musically, a ten. Very well thought out album
Mata Leao (1996) - A more hardcore album. They tried something different on this one. Songs are very short and to the point. Very excellent lyrics though. I'm a fan of this fan.
No Holds Barred (1997) - Live album. Not a big fan of live album but this one is worth checking out.
New World Disorder (1999) - Some really good songs on this one like 'Switchback' and 'Skin.' Good production.
Uncivilization (2001) - Really, really weak album. One good song. This is when they went downhill. The lyrics are atrocious. At one point they say, "I'm gonna f***ing kill you!" C'mon.
Kill or be Killed (2003) - I didn't even buy this one because I knew it was gonna suck. Again, like the last album, the lyrics are violent and pathetic. Don't buy it.
"you live like that & die like this".......2005-05-28
i'll have to agree w/ "big evil" on this one (the reviews title anyway)next to "urban.."this is my favorite. i never got into anthraxs' dabblings in rap too much, sure "i'm the man" was hillarious & "bring the noise" has improved w/ age .i just could'nt ever bring myself to buy them. biohazard on the other hand was impossible for me to ignore.no B.S. here !everyone's a serious musician! no vannilla ice gangsta day dreams either. these guys have lived their lyrics. make room for "state of the world adress" & "urban discipline" in your collection .right where you kept your p.o.d. & your linkin park .these will make nice frizbees or shiney coasters for your coffee table.
The Biohazard classic..........2005-04-26
"State of the World Address" is one of those records that defined an undeniable moment in time. Many have accused Biohazard of being "fakes" or mocked them for being a "one trick horse", but this record stands alone. The band managed to unleash a sonic fury on that few have ever captured though many have made pale attempts at imitation. The production is warm and captures the NYHC/hip-hop mix perfectly, and the band themselves sound as pissed off as possible. Biohazard came to this party to tell a story, and while that story may be a little too "out there" for some people...it's an exciting ride nonetheless.
Catchy numbers such as "What Makes Us Tick" and "Down For Life" bridge the NYHC/hip-hop feel brilliantly with "How it Is" bringing in the slightly archaic rappers Cypress Hill to add to the vocalization. Other, heavier tracks such as "Love Denied" and "Five Blocks From the Subway" also paint horrific landscapes of urban decay and inner city stressfests. The songcraft here defined an entire career, and possibly defeated many later records by perfecting the formula to a point in which we may have never needed another record of this type.
"State of the World Address" may be the one perfect record Biohazard will unleash. While some will love it and some will hate it...Biohazard remain the lone kings at what Biohazard do. Respect must be given...
Next to "Urban Discipline", this is the best from Biohazard.......2005-04-19
The Brooklyn bombers hit a grand slam with their follow up to their previous landmark effort, "Urban Discipline". "State of the World Address" follows the same formula that most of Biohazard's albums have: tough guy, full throttle vocals, heavy guitar work with hip-hop elements, and a fierce attitude to match. The title track, "Down For Life", "Tales From the Hardside", "Pride", and the closing "Love Denied" are classic Biohazard songs that remain fan and concert favorites to this day, and next to "Urban Discipline", this is the best piece of material to come from the band. Sadly, besides devoted fans to Biohazard, not many listeners know this. Just like Helmet, Corrosion of Conformity, Eyehategod, Crowbar, and countless other acts, Biohazard never got all the attention they rightly deserved. Make no mistake, this is hardcore thought provoking metal that even over ten years after it's initial release still sounds timeless.
State of perfection ..........2004-07-20
With 'State of the World Address', Biohazard members reached perfection in their unique hard-core/metal style. To my own opinion, they have never issued such a good album again. It's hard to tell what I felt listening these (ALL) terrific songs when they got released ten years ago... Then, Biohazard was the band I used to revere the most at this time and, 'State of...' remained in my top of the list for a very long time...

Biohazard self titled CD.......2007-07-22
I remember listening to this album on cassette tape my senior year, when nobody had heard of them. In my opinion, it is the best album they ever put out. I recently re-purchased it on cd, havin lost the cassette tape so many years ago. Great soundclips from the warriors on wrong side of the tracks, and the godfather on retribution. I highly recommend this cd to anyone who likes biohazard or just plain likes a nice heavy sound.
AND WHEN YA IN BROOKLYN U BESS WATCH YO BACK!!!.......2006-10-11
This album is the landmark of the heavier sound of NYHC. This is what was responsible for the new skool NYHC sound. Bands like Madball, Sick Of It All, even Vision Of Disorder learned much from these kats. I love the Warriors intro on Wrong Side. This explains to the listener that this is the real deal thug appeal.
I will try again.........2006-02-13
I allready wrote one review but for some reason it is not showing up. This is a great album from a fu*king great band. These guys started it all as far as I am concerned. But they did it harder and heavier than the nu-meal tickets that they spawned. You can tell that the knew what they were singing and playing about. Nothing like todays monkey see monkey do garbage flooding the airwaves today!
A Great Place To Start For New York's Heavy Music.......2005-09-22
I started my Biohazard Music Collection in the late '90s with a
cassette (remember them?) of "State of The World Address". I was
quite impressed their muscular arrangements & pounding rhythmns.
The vocal style ranges from growling, to shouting, to multi-voice
chanting. There were probably comparisons to the rap/metal thing
going on at the time, but Biohazard can not be compared to Korn,
Limp Bizkit, or the like. (Note: When Biohazard chooses to add a
rap element to their work they go directly to the source throwin'
down with Onyx or The Mighty Cypress Hill!) Biohazard=New York, its darkside, its "Hardside". This debut(?) from 1990 is a raw, tight, yet not over-polished. It lays the ground work for future masterpieces like "New World Disorder" and "Uncivilization".
Hazardous Hardcore.......2005-09-08
This is the most addictive band. A Hardcore sensation. They do projects with every band known to man. Really cool guys.

Not very good by Biohazard standards..........2004-05-26
This is undoubtebly one Of the Bio's weakest albums. I just can't get into it. At this stage of their career they had lost their way slightly. There are a couple of ok songs like 'Resist' and 'Dogs of war', but the rest of it is just rap-metal crap. This and Uncivilisation are their worst efforts. I picked up Kill or be killed recently and was really impressed by what I heard. As for those idiots who said Biohazard is jumping on the 'metalcore' bandwagon, they created this sound you morons, some 10 years ago!
A MUST HAVE FOR BIOHAZARD FANS-.......2003-09-20
Definately one of there best albums. These guys are at Pantera level. This album is true biohazard.
Definitely not the best from Biohazard.......2003-09-19
I was never a big fan of "New World Disorder" since it's release in 1999, and I was afraid when I first heard this album that Biohazard was starting to lose their edge. Thankfully, I was wrong, but "New World Disorder" remains one of the few lowpoints for this otherwise incredible band. Songs like "Switchback", "End of My Rope", and "Skin" just seem so generic, so un-Biohazard that it makes me scratch my head at wondering if the band was trying to be more successful comemrcially here with this album. After all, this was released at nu-metal's height where it seemed any band with a rapping singer and downtuned guitars managed to sell a million albums in a week. While this album does have a few bright spots, this is definitely not Biohazard's finest hour. Check out "State of the World Address", the classic "Urban Discipline", "Mata Leao", "Uncivilization", and the recent "Kill or Be Killed" if you want to hear some of this band's best.
This CD was terrible!.......2000-12-23
I really tried to listen to this stuff, but I can't get past the 3rd song without almost falling asleep.
I think its called salvation or something. Anyways I ended up using this for a one way ocean frisbee.
If you want to waste your money you've come to the right place.
The original rap-metal band at their best.......2000-12-17
Biohazard are one of the best bands around today, but they have gone virtually unrecognized and unheralded for the groundwork they've layed down for today's metal scene. Without Biohazard, I doubt we would have much of a rap-metal scene to speak of, and if we did, it sure wouldn't be the same. "New World Disorder" finds them at their peak, showing all the wannabe's how it's done. It's definetly their heaviest cd, but they throw a few curveball's at you, as evident on "End of my Rope" and "Cycle of Abuse", both of which are great songs. The rest are just pounding, heavy Biohazard songs with the trademark dual vocals of guitarist Billy and bassist Evan. Much of the newfound heaviness can also be traced to the aquisition of ex-Helmet guitarist Rob Echeverria, who adds a whole new level to their sound. Drummer Danny Shuler is just awesome, and I don't see why he isn't recognized as one of the best in the hardcore and metal worlds today. If you are a Biohazard fan, you will definetly like this cd, and if you haven't heard them yet, get this cd and their other masterpiece "State of the World Address" and see the true innovators at their best.

Before Limp Bizkit and Kid Rock came Biohazard. Taking their lead from the thrash-hop hybrid pioneered by Anthrax's classic collaboration with Public Enemy on "Bring the Noise," Brooklyn's Biohazard spent the early 1990s mining the previously under-exploited overlap between hardcore metal and hip-hop cultures. In retrospect, the combination was a natural one: both types of music were vehicles for the expression of rage and disaffection. Biohazard made the fusion seamless with Urban Discipline. Vocalists Billy Graziadei and Evan Seinfeld swap lyrics over a backdrop of heavy beats and heavier guitars. Biohazard had a genuine political agenda: songs like "Punishment," "Loss," "Mistaken Identity," "Hold My Own," and the title track are rallying cries against the pitfalls of the urban scene that spawned them. Biohazard continued to make great albums, but Urban Discipline stands as the album that influenced an entire scene. For aficionados of hip-hop and heavy metal, it remains an essential purchase. --Robert Burrow
Customer Reviews:
hmmm..........2006-07-29
I don't like this album too much but I'll still give it three stars, because it's fairly good for what it is. It's a cross between rap and NY toughguy style hardcore.
It might be possible to sound a little whiter while "rapping" than these guys, but it'd be tough. Seriously, they'd give crazytown a run for their money in the whitest sounding rapping competition. The lyrics are also really bad. Apparently the singer cries "tears of blood." Poor guy. I guess the lyrics are a little better than their earlier race war lyrics on the demos (which they claim were about hardcore brotherhood or something).
Still you can't knock this too much because it's still way better than the mainstream raprock that it helped spawn. Probably, If they had not attempted to "rap" this would be a pretty high quality hardcore album. So If you like that, you'll probably like this. If you like raprock, you'll love it.
One of the greatest albums of all time, in my opinion.......2006-05-04
This is one of my favorite albums along with Vision Of Disorder's self titled album. Biohazard are one of my favorite bands ever, along with Vision Of Disorder. It is the best combination of rap and rock ever. It beats Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park by far. It even beats RATM, it makes them look weak. My favorites are Disease and Punishment
"here is justice, here is punishment".......2005-05-28
i remember catching biohazards "punishment" video on headbangers ball in the early 90's .a gang of about a thousand very scarey looking fellows strolling through the streets of NY.coming to beat the worlds ass!very powerful images for a very powerful song. i could hardly wait to hear it again,so i picked up the cassette.i'm barely now, nor have i ever been a big rap fan,i like funny stuff like old luke skywalker, too short, digital underground, slick rick etc.(bigger fan than i thought)but anyway i love every song on "urban discipline" the music is tight, very powerful, w/ more of a groovy/funk element than one of hiphop. the angst ridden roars of rap fit the music perfectly & you get a good sence that these guys really know what they're talking about . i've been an extreme metal fannatic pushing 20 years now & biohazard are no lightweights. BUY IT IT JAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Someone please gives these guys a hug........2004-09-12
I shouldn't be judging music that I know little about, but jesus, this is probably the worst album in my collection. When I was about 13 I read up about Biohazard and how they have tough lives on the streets and all that jazz, so I thought I'd buy their record to hear what the hood sounds like to angry white men. I'm sorry, but maybe they should spend a few more years on the streets and buy some decent drugs while they're at it. I'm into all types of music, even alot of heavy stuff, believe it or not, but Biohazard to me just sucks. The lyrics are awful, the instrumentation is actaully decent, but the whole sound is just anger. It annoys me that these guys don't seem to feel any other emotion than that, and that's why I give this album a 2.
Get it !.......2004-07-20
'Urban discipline'? One of Biohazard's best ever ! Get it by all means if necessary, you'll never regret it... It's a perfect crossover album which combines inspired hip hop lyrics with the nicest metal/hardcore songs ever issued. These guys were not faking and each song is as lethal as a bullet... This was the Biohazard I was used to revere in the nineties! There is nothing to throw in the garbage in it and, a hardcore fan would be foolish ignoring this true masterpiece...

These jerks ripped the artwork for their cd cover off of a distinguished member of deviantArt. If you have any consideration for the rights of artists, boycott this CD.
Not My Year MADE my year!.......2006-05-22
First of all you have to know that 'Suicide City' consists of 5 amazing & talented people who love what they do. What they do is make great music and put on one of the most energetic shows I have ever seen. This CD is only the beginning. If you are looking for Biohazard, then go buy a Biohazard CD. If you want something fresh & entertaining that has an aggressive sound, and is infused with real passion, then 'Not My Year' is most definately the CD to own. It's a seriously good time.
Truly amazing.......2006-05-22
I'm not one to buy CD's often at all. Maybe a few a year if that, but I saw Suicide City open for Mindless Self Indulgence back in October and they blew me away. Such a kickass band with great vocals, great sounds all around. They really know how to rock! Once the show was over they were selling the CD and I KNEW I had to get a copy. It's an EP which usually would disappoint me but not this one. Each song on here is full of so much angst and energy, I can listen to it over and over. I highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates rock.
Only Suicide City Can Rock You This Hard!!! .......2006-05-18
Dark. Fierce. Melodic. Rivoting. Powerfully intense. Energetic. Psychotic. Sexy. Unique. Euphoric. Exhilerating. These are just a few of the words that come to mind when I think of Suicide City. But words alone cannot describe how phenomenal they are!!! And you will know that from the second you listen to this CD. This is not just your average punk rock CD...it is music that knows no boundaries. These are 5 songs, written and played with heartfelt emotion, that will grab you by the soul and never let it go.
1 - It opens with F*ck Your Dreams, a powerful punk anthem that really makes you go bollistic! If you can listen to this song without jumping around, then I'm going to assume you have no legs! Rating - 5/5
2 - Give Me Your Pity, another pumped up energetic song that manages to mix hardcore with catchy...especially with the chorus chanting "Give me your pity suicide city!" Rating - 4/5
3 - Undone, easily the most euphoric song on the album. The rest of the world goes away when you listen to it...its just amazingly powerful. This song also really highlights how good Karl's vocals are. Its more melodic instead of psychotic but it still packs a punch! I highly recommend this be your first taste of them. Rating - 5/5
4 - Marching Backwords, and yes, it is intentionally mispelled! I would have to say this is the weakest track of the 5 but its not at all a bad song. It just doesn't have the intensity the other 5 have. This ones a lot slower with not as much excitement but the lyrics remain powerful. Rating - 3/5
5 - Diemonds, and yes, that is also intentionally mispelled! I never thought I would like a song more than Undone but damn, this one is amazing! This song is as intense as it gets! If you watched Viva La Bam's Spring Break Special, you may have already heard the opening riffs. But the rivoting intensity of those few notes are nothing compared to the rest of the song! So yes, let this also be part of your first taste of them!! Rating - 5/5
So yes, you should buy this CD right now! If you don't want to take my word for it, then check out their web site or their myspace profile for a taste of these tracks as well as a few new ones. You will see that Karl's flawless vocals are so packed with emotion, its bone chilling. Billy (formerly of Biohazard) and AJ can shred their guitars like you wouldn't believe. Their notes are layered perfectly for some unforgettable riffs. And Billy's backup vocals/screams/growls really bring it all together. Jennifer (formerly of Kittie) is a smoking bass player. She plays with this sensual intensity that only a woman as harcore as her can do! And there's no missing Danny's extreme talent in those flaring drum beats. This band has unbelievable chemistry....so go check them out...if you think you can handle it!!
Horrid.......2006-03-31
Billy Graziadei needs to leave this band and go back to what he is a master of - pounding metal/hardcore rhythms and vocals that can tear your face off.
This band sucks. Plain and simple. They suck.

Uncivilization proves that rap-metal can still be ugly, uncompromising, intelligent, and proud. With Papa Roach, Limp Bizkit, and Linkin Park scaling the charts, it's worth remembering that the rock-rap crossover didn't start as an MTV-friendly operation, but as a bruising, violent, exciting collision between the worlds of hardcore and hip-hop. And at the forefront of the first wave were New York hard nuts Biohazard, a four-piece ensemble with a taut, tattooed, razor-sharp perspective, and pummeling, guitar-heavy riffs. They're still preaching their gospel of urban decay, social disintegration, and musical revolution on their fifth album. And, incredibly, Biohazard sound more vital than ever. From the opening, distorted crunch and pound of "Sellout" through the chilling, super-heavy "Population Control" to the unsettling revenge anthem "Cross the Line," Biohazard have moved away from shiny production values to an appealingly rough and raw sound. There are innovations here, however, such as the piano and strings of "Letter Go" and the Cypress Hill-style eeriness of "Wide Awake." Featuring guest appearances from members of Pantera, Slipknot, Sepultura, and Agnostic Front, this album is uncivilized indeed. --William Luff

A welcome return to form for the rap-metal pioneers.......2002-11-13
One of the most influential (and whose style has been ripped off time and time again by countless mainstream wanna be heavy bands) and underrated bands of all time, "Uncivilization" is Biohazard's triumphant return to form. After not being completely bowled over by 1999's "New World Disorder", "Uncivilization" focuses on Biohazard returning to their hardcore roots. Songs like "Sellout", "Wide Awake", "Last Man Standing", "HFFK", "Get Away", and the title track are full throttle cut your throat tunes that are thought provoking while at the same time headbangable to; just like the Biohazard that brought us such classics as "Mata Leao" and "Urban Discipline". While some songs can get repetitive, the overall package is great, and "Uncivilization" is a welcome return to form for Biohazard, one of the original rap-metal pioneers. Look for guest appearances from Pantera's Phil Anselmo, Type O Negative's Pete Steele, Sepultura's Igor Cavalera, Cypress Hill's Sen Dogg, and members of Hatebreed.
NO NO NO.......2002-11-02
Not as bad as New World Disorder but still very poor. 8 years ago bands wanted to sound like biohazard. Now biohazard want to sound like today's popular bands. Buy everything from biohazard:biohazard to biohazard:mata leao. Don't buy the rest. oh and see them at a concert. They're still an awesome live band.
Grrrrrrrrreat!.......2002-04-03
This is one band who's stood the test of time!
they havent changed their sound for the worse. They stay true to themselves and their fans. True Hardcore!
Pick this up if you're sick of the new metal.
Good music.......2002-01-06
When I first heard of Biohazard, it was off Ozzfest 97' the first Ozzfest recorded. Ever since then I have been a Biohazard fan, and have heard most their music. Biohazard to me is a band that is some-what Anti-Government band. But Uncivilization is new to the world unlike all there older stuff. This music is actually quite cool, mixing Rap and Heavy Metal together, and making it sound good (Unlike Limp Bizkit). My personal favorite song on the cd is Plastic. has neat ending and has very filthy language...I would trust kids 16 years of age with this album. They actually got a tad religious with the song, but they are from Brooklynn, so it doesnt bother me as much. I would recomend this album for all Biohazard fans around the world. And if i know anything more about Biohazard than any1 else, there a whole lot better than Mettalica.

Stay away!!.......2006-10-31
I'll give it 2 stars cause it's BIOHAZARD, but this tuned down new metal sludge is just terrible!! At their best BIOHAZARD rules, this is a sad exception. Best song on the album is the title track "kill or be killed", with a pretty awesome break toward the end of the song. Actually that part alone almost makes the album worth listening. Check out "Means to an end" the last BIOHAZARD, its much much better!! This is BIOHAZARD's mistake record where similarly DIABOLIC in MUSICA is SLAYER'S mistake>>>!@!!!
Forgive, Forget, Live, and Let Live.......2006-05-16
Everything you expect from NYHC. You can headbang, slam dance, or sing along to this album. I disagree with the lyrical message, but the music is exciting with lots of breakdowns, etc.
Check out the signed copy and poster I listed in collectables. I am selling my copy of this album because I think that a more dedicated fan deserves this great memorabilia.
Biohazard's best.......2005-12-31
Biohazard emerged in the early 1990's, and are equally as responsible as Rage Against the Machine for the creation and popularity boom of rap-metal. Up to this point, Biohazard spent their career fine-tuning their rap-rock formula. But with this album, their seventh release from the studio, they put the hip-hop vocals on the back burner and just focus on making this a slab of sheer, down tuned, relentless brutality. The riffs echo recent Slayer albums, and these songs are full of shout-alongs which bring to mind late '80's Anthrax. Evan Seinfeld's thug-ish vocals are full of rage and help add to the album's intensity. The band even experiment with a few songs: "Heads Kicked In" has a tribal rhythm, and the album closing tune, "Hallowed Ground," ends with a spoken word passage which strings together the preceding song titles in a threat of violence. The title track and "Dead To Me" are two other stand-outs. This may not be a classic Biohazard album, and it shouldn't put a smile on the faces of any older fans, but if you like great, brutal metal, you should definitely pick this up.
Biohazard is dead!!.......2005-08-31
I have this album and this is gotta be the
worst album by them.I've been a fan since
Urban disipline and now they just don't
have the old school sound anymore.
Now the last and final album is
coming out this month. The band is
calling it quit's,don't know why though.
On,Kill or be killed every song sound's
the same and there is no musical talent.
Don't waste your money buying this one.

--Robert Burrow

hmmm..........2006-07-29
