5 out of 5 stars An album that took Australian by storm.......2004-09-30

The first time I saw Psi.Kore I was impressed. The second time I had my head blown off. This band were the best metal band in Sydney for a few years, until they sadly imploded in 2002. Their only release was a 6 track E.P (no counting inclusion on a few compilations).
The track list is as follows
1. Pioneering Conflict
2. Inbred Hate
3. Faker Taker
4. Lost In The Aether
5. Cut
6. Revolve

Chuck Lamb's vocals are simple and a bit similar to Tom Arraya from Slayer, only not as monotonous, and a bit more gruff. Faker Taker, Cut and Melvins cover Revolve are my favourite tracks on this album, followed by Inbred Hate and Pioneering Conflict. Andrew Lilly's lead guitar is just as fresh as anything on the European shred scene, and the riffing is top notch. It is a shame that this band fell apart, as they were the most enjoyable band to go see live, and they had the material to back up an awesome show. Having supported such bands as Megadeth, Strapping Young Lad and Cradle Of Filth, you have a pretty good idea of the quality of Psi.Kore
R.I.P, the Sydney scene has sucked since Psi.Kore disolved.

5 out of 5 stars Thrash lives.......2003-01-13

Yes ladies and gentlemen, thrash lives on in this 6 track e.p. from Sydney's premier (and sadly now defunct) thrash band, Psi.Kore. Combining elements of 80's thrash with European metal sensabilities, this e.p. will do very nicely when you need a swift metal arse kicking. First impressions bring Slayer to mind, especially in Chuck Lamb's vocals, but continued listens show wider and more old school influence. In Australia they supported both Strapping Young Lad and Megadeth on seperate occasions, and right until they called it a day late in 2002, this band were on top of the Austraian metal game!

Yes folks, buy this and you won't be dissapointed!
