HIGH VOLTAGE ROCK N ROLL .......2007-06-28
THIS IS ANOTHER GREAT ALBUM FROM AC/DC ONE OF THE BEST LIVE ALBUMS OF THEM EVER RECORDED ONLY OFFICAL LIVE ALBUM WITH BON SCOTT ON VOCALS!!!!!ONCE IN A LIFETIME THIS CONCERT WOULD OF BEEN GREAT GREAT ALBUM ROCK N ROLL HAS NEVER BEEN THIS GOOD YOUR CRAZY IF YOU DONT HAVE ANYTHING FROM THIS ALBUM BUY IT IF YOU STILL DONT HAVE IT!!!!!!
If you want Blood You've got it.......2007-04-10
Early CD by AC/DC and I think one of there best, Angus Young proves once again that he is a guitar god, his guitar solo's in A Whole Lot Of Rosie is superb. If your a AC/DC fan this is a must have.
Bon Scott lives!.......2007-03-21
This is one of my all time favorite albums (yes I have it on vinyl). Bon Scott is in his element and delivers one of the best live performances of all time. A must have for AC/DC fans!
Feels like you were really there.......2007-01-18
Ac/Dc is a very rare breed of band that never lets you down...you always know what to expect, which is great blues based rock at a super high volume with some great guitar playing and some great screaming vocals...this live CD "If You Want Blood" is no exception to that.
It includes 10 great rock and roll classics played live, with lots of crowd participation. What sets this CD apart from their next live album recorded many years later on the "Razor's Edge" tour,is that this feels much more intimate, like you were front row in a small arena right in the middle of the high volume onslaught. I like this, whenever you make a live album that feels like you were there it can be considered a success. The later live album feels much more thought out and commercial and it didn't feel spontanious at all. I much prefer this one,"If You Want Blood"...the band was very hungry for success and was touring for the "Powerage" album...the only complaint I have is that they didn't include a lot of songs that I think would have went over better...in particular Sin City,TnT,Dirty Deeds, and It's A Long Way To The Top...this is a great CD to pop in the car and crank to 10 and imagine being there watching this classic band tearing through some awesome rock and roll...if you are a hard core ac/dc fan you should already have this,if not go out and grab it now...if you are new to the band, buy a few of the studio albums first, mainly Back In Black,Highway To hell,High Voltage, and even Powerage...once you know the songs in the studio versions you'll be able to appreciate the live versions in a whole new way...one song in particular "The Jack" has completely new lyrics live as opposed to the studio version (I prefer the studio version but then again,I like being subtle, but the live version is great too)...this CD also includes the live version of "Whole Lotta Rosie" and one of my favorites "Rock And Roll Damnation"...this is another in a long line of triumphs for this great band and includes a GREAT guitar solo that shows what Angus can do and some great crowd interaction with the great Bon Scott
The Upside - very well produced live album, feels very intimate like you were there..includes some great classics like "Whole Lotta Rosie" "Problem Child" "Rock And Roll Damnation","hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be","High Voltage" and more...great booklet also comes with the remaster version with lots of great pictures and some cool stories
The Downside - missing some obvious hits like "TnT" and "Dirty Deeds" (they included 'Rocker' from the dirty deeds album but not the much more popular title track, not sure why) and "Jailbreak" which would have been a treat to hear Bon sing that one live..and again,no bonus tracks for the remaster version which would have been a nice treat to us fans
The Bottom Line - the best live collection of Ac/Dc songs so far...start with the studio versions and then crank this one up to 10 and relive a great concert...Ac/Dc is timeless and classic...go buy this one...donutman says so!!!
AC/DC - 'If You Want Blood You Got It' (Sony).......2006-11-16
Originally released in 1978,this live album came out after AC/DC had put out four lp's and just prior to 'Highway To Hell'.Ten full-throttled tracks of blistering in-your-face heavy rock&roll as only AC/DC can do it.Used to have the cassette of this lp,but it is great to have it on CD.Was nice to hear Bon Scott-versions of "Rif Raff","Bad Boy Boogie","Problem Child",the awesome "Whole Lotta Rosie"(my favorite of the entire disc),"High Voltage" and "Let There Be Rock" once again.Essential.

The dueling guitars of the Young brothers, still combined here with the superlatively demonic tones of original singer Bon Scott, have never been better showcased as on this live album from AC/DC's 1978 Powerage tour. Masters of the killer riff, AC/DC were in full command of the tongue-in-cheek Australian energy that's served them so well. Angus Young's crackling lead guitar and Scott's leering menace and humor make for a superlatively potent brew. Above all, their music has a real sense of dynamics, space, and pace. Blood is essential listening for metal fans, but in particular don't miss "Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be," "Whole Lotta Rosie," and "Problem Child." --James Swift

If you want the best, you found it!!!!.......2005-04-16
Gotta tell you all I'm now 34 and have been an avid DC fan since the age of 10. This album is the ultimate in Rock n Roll without exception. You will NEVER EVER hear anything like this. It's raw, mean, smutty, loud and massive. If you die without hearing this, pray to God that it's playing in heaven coz this is the most phenomenal recording ever produced, trust me. The legend that is Bon Scott along with Angus and the boys make every other Rock band embarrasingly ordinary . . . Oh yeah, one more thing, play it so loud that your ear drums are in danger of bleeding. It's the best way . . . . . Buy it, buy it, buy it . . . . .
Heavy Metal Chuck Berry........2004-11-19
Was reborn when I heard this. I used to be a heavy metal rocker in my teens, but hearing it now is a whole 'nuther experience. You cant fault the raw energy of this band, they smoke! It's balls out, no nonsense, bread n butter rock music, no gimmicks. Check out the Movie (Let there Be Rock) and see the experience! Angus's striptease is hysterical and consolidates his place as one of Rock's true characters. He is essentially Chuck berry on Speed! Bon was a true gravelly dude. My mum used to work at a Salon called Scissors in the 70's and her college 'Silver' used to date Bon, so she got to meet the boys a few times. When she cut Angus's hair, he apparently said nothing and drank 4 pints of milk during the process. A real school boy to the end. I love this band and I love Bon's smutty lyricism, too. R.I.P
If you want the best, you'll get it!.......2004-01-12
This was definitely one of my finest music purchases ever. I have been a die-hard AC/DC fan for a couple years, and I find that Bon Scott is one of THE best songwriters and showmen ever. This CD was great, due to its raw energy and great songs. It starts with the biggest Angus displays "Riff Raff" with Bon Scott's alcohol fueled voice. The rest of the CD rips. Classics "The Jack", "High Voltage", "Hell Ain't A Bad Place" and others never get old, and I liked this album much better than the later Live album. A couple things puzzled me, like why didn't they include TNT, Sin City, or Jailbreak (an early set song) in their setlist? Anyhow, get this fine album from the greatest band ever.
Bon R.I.P
ac/dc are great live!.......2003-12-03
this is a amazing album.man!bons voice is at its best hear,he sounds so very wild and crazy.angus is my favorite guitar player ever with joe perry at 2nd from aerosmith.mal and phil play their heart out.and my favorite band member phil rudd,he is the best drum player ever!he just does not miss a beat.and when he went out in mid 80s and came back in mid 90s,he was great in ballbraker and stiff upper lip.ac/dc are wil and powerful live.i love how they play live they always seem to pick the right songs.live on ac/dc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Blood For Your money..........2003-09-11
All the things you remembered about this great album with a little more punch. This disc is part of AC/DC's re-packaging and remastering series and it sounds awesome. One of the best albums they ever recorded, it captures all the intensity that this band has when playing live. All tracks are w/ the late Bon Scott and rock hard. You won't be dissapointed.

The best live album ever!!!.......2001-08-19
This album was released right around the time AC/DC was becoming popular in America. Most of this teeth kicking show was recorded in Scottland. The blistering opening of "Riff Raff" to the fast as hell show ender "Rocker" proves this album is worth every penny. The import version is sonically better than that of the american release. This is Bon Scott at his best!!

Mid-'70s AC/DC, LIVE!.......2005-07-02
This album is a great collection of live tracks from many of their albums, all of the preceeding "Highway to Hell". The album title (which later appeared as a song on the aforementioned "Highway to Hell"), is basically a summation of the bands' commiment to their fans. "If You Want Blood...You've Got It!" I mean, what more do you want?
