    Album Description

This DualDisc release of Dishwalla's incredible live album takes the band up a notch by including live performance videos of "Counting Blue Cars," "Opaline," "Somewhere In The Middle," "Angels Or Devils," and "Home". Also included are "Home" Navy Performance video live from the battleship Nimitz and a Dishwalla photo gallery.

Between the fall of 2001 and the Summer of 2003 Dishwalla went on tour to promote their 2002 release Opaline. Produced by Gregg Wattenberg (Five For Fighting) and recorded in Los Angeles, the album proved relentless on the radio airwaves with the Top 20 hit, "Somewhere in the Middle." Touring Consistently for two Years, the band performed 258 shows in 470 days covering both ground and air. The performances were recorded live and these moments capture the band in what athletes call "the flow state." Dishwala was in the zone, redefining their boundaries and performing better than ever. Traveling with Navy Morale Welfare Recreation tour in Europe and North Africa on board the USS Nimtz only fueled the intensity of their performance. This live album is the result of a rock band doing what they love. Some fans call it Dishwalla's Greatest Hits!

    Album Description

Dishwalla's music speaks to people at a very personal level. The band consistently demonstrates a unique ability to write music that elevates the personal to the universal. The Santa Barbara-based band made quite the splash a few years back with Pet Your Friends, a provocative mix of pop savvy and soulful rock grind. Fueled by the smash hit single "Counting Blue Cars," the album blazed onto the pop charts and blanketed rock radio, with the video garnering heavy play on MTV and VH1.

Between the fall of 2001 and the Summer of 2003 Dishwalla went on tour to promote their 2002 release Opaline. Produced by Gregg Wattenberg (Five For Fighting) and recorded in Los Angeles, the album proved relentless on the radio airwaves with the Top 20 hit, "Somewhere in the Middle." 4 out of 5 stars Live - .......2006-10-22

I'll have to say this first; there's only one time the crowd sings (remember I pay to see a group sing, not me or the crowd - not sure why some bands don't get that.)

Also, 99% the camera footage are of the band (remember I pay to see a group on stage, not of the crowd - not sure why some bands don't get that on their dvd)

Back to the dvd, Dishwalla puts on a good show here and if I had been there I would have felt I had gotten my time/moneys worth. They mix songs from all their albums and the stagemanship is tight. At times the dvd is a little dark and the spotlight misses them or the guys are out of que, these are my only noted negative comments..

If you like a band that dosen't need fire or fog to get things going or in this case just allows the music to speak, then I suggest this dvd. The songs all flow and the mini solo acts remind you this is a rock band with talent. It shold be noted that watching JR standing on the drum kit is worth it.............that looks so cool!

    Crank it up.....

5 out of 5 stars Dishwalla prove themselves as a great live band.......2006-01-11

I had heard parts of some Dishwalla albums, and a bootleg live recording that was awesome and I really loved them.

I bought this CD and the music inspired me so much, that I went and bought all 4 of the CDs showcased on it.

They are a great band; and yes some of the live 'stuff' is not as good as the original recordings, but, live (in my opinion) is often better.

I recommend this CD for your collection. If you think some of the mixing could be done better, then I'd whole-heartedly suggest that you go and buy all the Dishwalla studio discs!

    You won't be disappointed.

    5 Stars.

    5 out of 5 stars I own it and I love it!!!!.......2004-12-22

Of all the Dishwalla CDs, soundtracks and EPs, this is by far their greatest release to date. Maybe they should have called this CD 'Their Greatest Hits'!

    5 out of 5 stars WORTH BUYING!!!.......2004-06-21

Buy this CD as well as the Opaline... If you are not satisfied with these album, contact me and I'll buy it from you!!!

    5 out of 5 stars In concert.......2004-06-14

I was on the USS NIMITZ during Operation Iraqi Freedom when Dishwalla came onboard to promote this album. I was never a fan of their music, like most of the ship all I knew was that they had sung that "Tell me all your thoughts on God" song. But seeing as we were at sea with nothing else to entertain us for 9 months, I went to the concert. I, and most of the crew was blown away. I rushed out and bought most of their albums at the next port. I loved this CD because it reminds me of that concert. This band really is one of those bands that sound better live. Buy this CD.

5 out of 5 stars Talk about state of flow.......2000-08-31

The best album ever released! The new style is great and this album include 12 damn good songs. I find my state of flow when I'm listen to this music, more band should try this style.

      3 out of 5 stars Dissapointment.......2000-05-01

This new release is a big let down compared to the great music they have recorded in the past, it seems they are following the typical trend in punk today, slower beats, no more double bass, happier sounding music that seems to have lost its edge.

5 out of 5 stars THE BEST NFAA ALBUM.......2002-09-22

This is the best No Fun At All album, more melodic, with great lyrics. If you are a new NFFA fan, buy "Out of Bounds" first, then you can buy this one. It's a shame the ending of NFAA.

          4 out of 5 stars Good.......2000-10-15

I've listened this album about 15 times before writing this review. I think it's good, very melodical and more commercial then the previous. No Fun At All produced better discs
