Superb technical metal.......2000-10-17

The first time I encountered this band was at a live gig. I had promised, against better judgement, to review the gig and was not really looking forward to it. Then the band came on and totally blew me away. And it's been a love affair ever since. Pathos combine aggressive yet complex and melodious metal with great songwriting. Add to the mixture the clear and beautiful vocals of singer Stefan Carlsson and the picture is complete. I wouldn't really compare Pathos to any other band. Their mixture of aggression, rhythm and melody is - to my knowledge - rather unique. No matter what brand of metal you prefer, I think you could do yourself a favour by checking out this band. And if you like the debut album, you would do well to check out their second offering "Uni versus universe" as well.
