5 out of 5 stars Shannon's Back To Dance!.......2006-02-17

This is a great dance\club cd, with a new remix of 'Give Me Tonight' and a new version of her classic hit 'Let The Music Play', 'Come Fly Away' is one the standout tracks, this cd has a 90's club feel, and with Shannon's wonderful voice makes this a winner!

5 out of 5 stars Awesome Music.......2003-06-12

She really put somes grooves down on this cd that you should not ignore! Every track is hot but my favourites are "The Best Is Yet to Come", "Believe In Me", and "Intimate". Shannon fits in very well in today's club music sound and her voice has gotten better with time. Get this cd now!

1 out of 5 stars Best Yet To Come? One Hopes........2002-08-21

She ain't kidding, the first track, `Give Me Tonight' sounds like a parody of a dance track, the kind of music that SNL skits are made of. The rest of it is only slightly better. Oy Oy Oy. Shannon has a pretty good voice, she deserves better. Miss it.

3 out of 5 stars If it aint broke - don`t mend it.......2000-12-16

Having been a great fan of Shannon for many years, I was very excited to find a new realease. After the last lp " Love goes all the way " which was a great LP and was never available on CD I purchased this title with much eagerness, and to be honest although the album is OK, with a mixture of new tracks and new remixes of old tracks I was a little dissapointed. The first 2 LPs ( showing my age ) were superb and I still enjoy them even after all these years and I suppose you have to move forward. But I will give it some more listenings and I expect It will grow on me. The original versions of " let the music play " and " Give me tonight " are, in my opinion far superior to the new versions. Having said that, I am still a very big Shannon fan and I am glad that she is still recording. Keep it up Shannon!

5 out of 5 stars This groove you cant ignore.......2000-07-12

Shannon sounds just as good as she did 16 years ago. Give Me Tonight 2000 is an incredible remix of the classic song. Once again, Jimi Tunnell lends his amazing vocals to both Give Me Tonight and Let The Music Play....

    4 out of 5 stars Earthtone 9s first Single.......2001-08-10

I am quite a big fan of ET9 and found this in the shops a few weeks ago. While 2 of the songs I already own on other albums I was still remarkably pleased with the single. The first track 'Tat twan asi' (Straight off 'arc'tan'gent') is a brilliant opener and easilly one of ET9's best songs with a chorus which is both long and memorable. 'Alpha Hi' is less memorable but still pretty good all the same, maintainng Earthtone9's unique style of weirdness. 'You again'(cover)is somewhat different but is still in the same vein and remains equally enjoyable. Vitriolic HSF2000 is just and updated version of a song off 'lof-def diskord' which has been made slightly sharper for this single, this is probably the worst track on the CD and is the reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5. While the song still remains enjoyable it is too short and does not live up to expectations created by the other 3 songs on the single.

Earthtone 9 are a band with a very new and interesting style which has yet to be noticed by the mass market. But songs like Tat Twan Asi make you confident that it will not be long before some more people wake up to ET9's unique style and they get the praise they deserve.

5 out of 5 stars American metal bands should be afraid. Very afraid.......2000-06-26

The ascendency of Earthtone9 will be done no end of good by this single, which will probably only be bought by about a thousand people at most, which is a crying shame, as it features the best song I've ever heard the band put their name too. 'Tat Twam Asi' is quite simply stunning. 5:38 of sheer genius and breathtaking excellence, superbly crafted, and featuring the biggest chorus ANY so-called 'nu-metal' has yet produced. The sheer melodic vocal power superimposed over a screamed background is exquisitely intense in its power, and deserves to make the band bigger than Korn. But just to reassure everyone, it still is as heart rendingly heavy as everyone expects. 'Alpha Hi' isn't as crushingly excellent as the previous track, but retains a beautiful mystical/ethno-tribal thing about it, which makes special. The shihad cover (apparently the best band on the planet, so speaketh the earthtone9 website) is a doomy affair, yet stamped indelibly with the earthtone9 signature, and therefore highly listenable. 'Vitriolic hsf' is a rerecording of the original song off 'lo-(definition) discord'. The band don't do anything remarkably spectacular with it, other than to generally clean it up and make it sound more ferocious, possibly just as a demonstration of the bands capabilities. No problem there, then...
