5 out of 5 stars Hellishly Evil.......2004-09-11

looks like Thyme wants to take a new approach to their music, and decided to make it satanic.

The Vocals are clear to hear, and it doens't sound like he's singing in a echoing cave (from Arising Realms, the echoes are quite annoying). The guitar riffs are simply freakin evil. I don't know if i should compare it to Immortal's "Battles In the North". i don't think there's a similarity though.

the drums! drums are freakin fast as well.

this album is for you, if you want fast, and satanic music!

The clown prince of hip-hop, Biz Markie disappeared into obscurity just a couple of years after this album was released, in large part owing to a legal battle. Hip-hop has lacked for Biz's absence (except for his occasional appearance on a Beastie Boys or De La Soul track), and this album is the reason. Biz had some serious skills (listen to the rap he busts out with on the hilarious "Mudd Foot"), but he usually shelved them for a deliberate, toned-down delivery punctuated by an affected stutter. His lyrics tend toward high-school-level humor, and his production may often be minimal, but Biz's best work--including the bulk of this CD--communicates a joy that hip-hop often lacks. --Randy Silver

5 out of 5 stars The Biz never sleeps.......2006-05-04

What can you say about the Biz Markie. He's fat, he's eclectic and his Annonciation is sub par to say the least, but what the Biz lacks in grace he more than makes up for in charisma.

This Elder statesman of the New York Hip-hop scene shows his full lyrical potential on this album. Along with his Cousin who makes up the second half this "dynamic" Duo, Cutmaster cool V, the two of them have managed to produce an album of quality beats, catchy hooks and sometimes hilarious rhymes. Think Tribe Called quest meets Fat Albert and the Gang (which insidently is reffered to on the classic tune Mudfoot).
All in all if you dont like the biz's style you'll be more than amused with his choice of subject matter and delivery. A worth while buy.

4 out of 5 stars You can't go wrong with the Biz........2002-01-27

Ok ok ok... I've heard it before from many people, including myself. "Rap isn't my kind of music." And while I admit I am not a rabid rap fan, especially of today's breed, I enjoy this album. Biz knew how to rhyme, he knew how to be hillarious, he knew how to be serious, and God knows he knew how to give shout-outs (as he did on every track of this album). Ok, so the last part may make him seem a bit pretentious... but do not let that get in the way. This album is great... a good antithesis to today's style of rap. Biz raps about Springtime, body odors, "friends", as well as anti-drugs. No egotistical sexism, no racism, and no excessive, boring curising. Great rhymes. So if you ever get the chance to run across this album, give it a spin... you may find it quite enjoyable.

    Product Description

L.A.-based rock musician extraordinaire Arthur Mountaniol's new album "Master of Ecstasy" is a continuation of the artist's research in the sphere of Shamanism and explorations in the territories of rock music that have never been visited by no other artist. This is a work of an exquisite beauty and innovation with a flavor of Mongoloid/Eastern folklore and diabolical presence. This album will appeal to those who love Magick,Sorcery,Witchcraft,Shamanism,New Age,etc and of course a great, masterly and bonafide original rock music, not a copycat modern rubbish.

    5 out of 5 stars A dark,uncanny,supernatural trip!.......2005-10-26

Arthur Mountaniol is a great master of creating supernatural worlds full of weird and ecstatic ghosts and demons. This CD,just like "Shamania"(Mountaniol's previous album)is truly one of a kind rock music "creature" I've ever heard.I don't really think it would make a good party with the regular rock music consumer, but some folks with a more "perverted" taste and dark imagination, will find this music to be a great escape to a secluded and well-preserved oasis where ancient ashes of gods and devils resurrect filling your heart with awe and triamph of their forgotten existence.Listen to this and they will come alive, indeed.
