Outstanding early 80's NWOBHM from NEAT Records.TYSONDOG and thier 1984 cult release "BEWARE OF THE DOG" serve as a wonderful reminder of the glory days when metal was hot and a fine introduction for newcomers discovering Englands NWOBHM acts and the NEAT records catalog.TYSONDOG were a semi important UK outfit from this era battling for a piece of the Iron Maiden/Judas Priest fans.While influenced by these bands TYSONDOG won respect in the metal under-ground for the cool riffs and the vocals of CLUTCH CARRUTHERS,certainly a powerful and neglected singer."BEWARE OF THE DOG" has a dark,heavy aura and murky production (it was produced by Cronos of VENOM fame) similar to early MERCYFUL FATE releases like "Melissa".Tracks like "Demon", "Painted Heros" and "In the End" are all killer.Overall this is an overlooked gem and a standout from NEAT records.Metalheads gives this one a shot!
