What is it that is so intriguing about fire? A simple pre-historic force, that simply put provides both life and death. As a brushfire burns five square miles of forest and wildlife, it's soothing ashes provide a solid foundation for the next generation of life. Destruction behooves creation.

Using the same philosophy, it is possible to create new dimensions of sound by destroying the boundaries of musical structure. Bringing pure anger, devotion, love and hate together as a single emotion has proven to be a powerful combination. This single emotion is known as Arson.

Ignited in late 1998, Arson decided to free their minds and body from all pollutants of modern music. Using a clean slate to create metal in its most raw and pure form. The result was a debut CD ep “Words Written In Blood”, that charted in the top 20 in country on CMJ Loud Rock Radio. The formula was correct and the touring has proven it. Playing with notable acts such as Dillinger Escape Plan, All Out War, Biohazard and God Forbid has helped spread their musical message, play music, don't let the music play you.

Setting the scene on fire with relentless touring and radio support, Arson is a force to be reckoned with. Please, listen carefully, because playing with fire will only get you burned.

sick debut.......2004-02-12

arson... one of the greatest new metalcore bands out there. this first ep is a bit different than lacerate the sky, its got a different singer who is BY NO MEANS anywhere CLOSE to anthony ezzi in terms of goodness. he sounds like a mix between the guy from snapcase and the guy from the agony scene. so the vocals are a con compared to their other album. but its made up for in music, because alot of this record is more melodic than lacerate, and ive got a soft spot for melodic guitar a la gothenburg death metal. best track on this one is definitely the title track and avoid the sun.

oh yeah!! Arson comes out strong! I advise you to immediately purchase this album as it kicks more butt in 2 minutes that some of the nu-metal bands do in 3 or 4 albums. Straightforward lyrics, balls-out guitar, and killer drum and bass make for one of the best metal/hardcore albums I've heard in recent memory.
