Dirty, gritty rock that foams at the mouth.......2007-06-28

Orgy is a band that definitely has their own special style and sound -- if you take the vocals of His Infernal Majesty (HIM) and KoRn, and mix them with music slightly harder than Nine Inch Nails, you'd get something that sounds quite similar to Orgy. It's industrial rock magic that makes me feel like I'm in a crackhouse with a meth-addicted prostitute. Especially when I hear vocalist Jay Gordon sing, "You're just another pretty face in a room full of whores. No, you don't mean much." (Track 12 - "Dizzy")

I've always wondered why Orgy has never gotten more credit from listeners -- this is an album I have treasured since middle school, and I am now a college student with a very eclectic taste in music. Of the 12 songs on this album, I'd say at least 8 of them are songs you'll never get tired of because the deepest, darkest part of you will relate to them on some level. Just give them a chance.

I Keep Coming Back to You.......2007-06-21

Orgy is one of those bands I keep coming back to every once in a while. Candyass is without dispute the best Orgy album. The CD ranges from melancholy to happy, from depressed to elated, and back again. The tunes on Candyass are some of the heaviest and bleakest you will find anywhere. Candyass has a firm spot in my top 50 CD's.

They are heavy, dark, freaky, and queerish which makes them awesome in that way. Its like Boy George and Dead or Alive meet heavy metal.

Blue Monday - what a hell of a New Order cover! They re-invented that song better than Manson did with Eurythmics's Sweet Dreams

Great music. Bad name........2006-10-25

Here's another one of those bands that I discovered by hearing them on the radio. I bought this CD for the purpose of owning one song, "Stitches". However, to my pleasant surprise, "Stitches" isn't even the greatest song on the CD!(It's the second greatest). One word to describe this album, and maybe even this band, is 'consistent'. In my opinion the best song on this CD is "Fiend". However, all of the songs are good. The worst thing about this band is it's name, and the name of the album. As usual, I'm not much of a fan when it comes to lyrics of most rock bands, and this is no exception. However, they have consistently good songs. I own two CDs by Orgy, and both are great. If you want a futuristic sound, that isn't techno, then Orgy is for you. Unfortunately, everytime you mention this band's name to someone, you'll have to explain yourself.

Whenever I listen to this album, i cant stop! orgy is one of my favorite bands.

guitars 8/10 the guitars on this album are pretty good. there is one synth guitarist and one regular guitarist

bass 6.5/10 i can't really hear the bass alot in the cd. maybe it's just me

drums 5/10 the drums on here are mediocre. bobby is waaaaay better on vapor transmission.

vocals 9/10 this is probably why i listen to orgy alot. jay is a great vocalist and his lyrics are catchy

This album rules over all! who cares if they wear make-up? isn't it all about the music? it should be!this album has 12 amazing songs, and my favorites include "fetisha," "stitches," and "blue monday" actually, all the songs are good, they fit each mood you're in and have even been sort of like a vocabulary lesson!"dizzy" is a hard core song, "revival" is also, and jon davis from KoRn does back-up vocals."social enemies" and "dissention"are more of head banging with the clashing guitars,"platinum" is a little softer, "fetisha" and "pantomime" are for when you are feeling bad,"blue monday" is a cover song by new order with a hard rock twist,"stitches" is light and heavy,"fiend," "all the same," and "gender" are for anytime and are kinda heavy. the album is like new order,depeche mode, duran duran, and metallica all rolled into one. it has g-synth to give it a futuristic sound, a great, strong drum beat, different sounding guitar and bass, and awesone vocals. this band is awesome. they have killer songs, and are totally original. i love this album! you have got to go out and buy it. orgy does not get enough credit for their work!

although this cd box set was only sold in europe and other countries outside of the US i think that it is a fine piece of guitar work and you've gotta love orgy for that. the only thing wrong with it is the fact that the songs not at the beggining or end of the cds are really boring but other than that id reccomend this to anyone.it may be expensive but trust me....BUY THIS NOW.
