Asking a DJ to produce a mix record isn't the most revolutionary idea in the world, but the DJ Kicks series offers a slightly different spin. Contributing artists are tasked with delving into the deep recesses of their collections and challenging listeners with unexpected combinations. Past entries have landed somewhere on a continuum from "interesting and insightful" to "excruciating, hipper-than-thou obscurity." Hot Chip's entry in the series manages to stay on the good side of that scale. Of course, Hot Chip are barely DJs at all, as records like 2006's The Warning veer wildly between indie rock and tweaked pop-dance hybrids. That freewheeling instinct serves them well here, creating stylistic whiplash and rattling the listener with a fun, herky-jerky flow. The first 25 minutes or so are especially good, with a quick snip of Positive K's "I Got a Man" up against the fat bass sound of Gramme's "Like You," eventually peaking with "Bizarre Love Triangle." You'll want to Google some of the music in this batch, especially Soundhack and the standout track "B1." Later, the record loses its nerve and devolves into more or less a straight dance record, with only occasional sparks like Wookie's "Far East." But they finish strong, following up Audion's "Just F***ing" with Joe Jackson and Ray Charles. While it's not perfect, this DJ Kicks manages an unforced cool and a healthy unpredictability that stops just short of random, making Hot Chip seem both hip and unpretentious. --Matthew Cooke
Product Description
For Hot Chip's installment of the legendary DJ-Kicks series, the boys deliver an eclectic mix that features everything from German minimal techno to classic pop, hip-hop, grime and garage. This is a mix that covers an unbelievable broad range of styles and truly pulls it off. To top off the mix, they threw in a brand new, exclusive Hot Chip track entitled "Piano Song," which takes their sound to an entirely new level.

Awesome violin Vanessa-Mae.......2007-07-21
I 'found' Vanessa-Mae a few years ago. I am so blown away by her unusual talent in classical violin. My all time favorite is Toccata and Fugue. As a classical music lover, this gives me goosebumps. I am wondering why I am not hearing her in this year-2007. It is as if she made these awesome tracks and then no media news about her. That to me is a shame, for we need more real artists, not these talentless pop stars in rehab! This CD is a charm, you will love it!
Amazing...........2005-05-28
she is an Excelent and great violin player, her music is unique, if you love instrumental music, you can't miss it.

Innovative music.......2007-06-03
I have been listening to such contemporary artists as Bond, Yanni, Taleinsin Orchestra,... so I am not a new comer to contemporary fusion classical music. If I had listened to this CD when it first came out almost 10 years ago, I would probably have given it a 5. I am only giving it a four now (maybe a 3.5?) because there are simply other better albums out there - most of the songs here are more classically influenced than its purported to be. Also, while Vanessa-Mae is an accomplished violinist, she is not the most spectacular violnist. At times, she lackes the energy to propell her music to the next level. However, all in all, an enjoyable album, although nothing ground-breaking.
Slop from a slapper.......2005-03-01
This terrible and dull album launched the career of Über-nothing violinist, Vanessa Mae.
It is hard to describe the depth of the level to which this album stoops to be "popular". Low brow? You bet! Exploitative? Oh yeah! Dumbed down Classical Music? Well, that's what we've got here!
Value of this album? Hard to say. I am sure that Vanessa's parents and agent are happy with this prosaic product.
Very dumbed down dumb music - for the legions of philistines and musically naive of the world.
In one word, a "dud".
HO HUM --- REALLY NOT INTERESTING AT ALL.......2003-07-11
As violin technique goes, there is not much here in evidence to get all fired up about. She is an adequete violinist who does just fine with the material she is given, but the only people who are going to think that she is a violinist for the ages are people who don't know anything about violin playing.
That being said, this album had the potential to be interesting, except that the arrangements of Mike Batt are about as flat as one can get. This album seems to be more about Mike Batt's ego than about Vanessa Mae, as Mike perform, conducts, composes & produces practically every piece. This would be fine if the end product was remotely interesting, but of it sounds like it should be background music. The Bach arrangement, with gratuitous techno-pop flourishes thrown in at every opportunity, just bogs down in an effort to be "innovative." Most of Batt's compositions leave no impression whatsoever.
Any lunatic who puts this crossover album in the classical category truly needs to go back to Music Appreciation 101, to be reminded of what classical music is. File this one in the Fluffy Boring Pop category and forget about it.
Classical With a Twist.......2003-07-01
The first notes of Vanessa Mae's The Violin Player sound like a dramatic beginning to a classical composition, but it's not. This album in fact is anything but traditional classical. It's unique, creative, energetic and alive and I give Vanessa props for being brave enough to come out with it. It's hard to be different. The fact that Vanessa did make the music and did it so well says that she's a true artist, something sadly lacking in a world where technical mastery is considered more important than artistic invention. This is a fantastic, fun album that you'll want to listen to again and again, the music hitting something within you and bringing all sorts of energy you didn't know you had bubbling to the surface. If you won't buy it for that reason, then buy it for it's historical significance. It's already plain to me, Vanessa Mae with this album changed the one sided face of classical music forever.
Highly Listenable.......2002-11-13
Let's get this straight upfront: Vanessa Mae is a good violin player, but I've heard plenty better in the classical world today. You buy this CD not for Mae's technique as a violinist (frankly, I'd give her just a 6 or 7 out of 10), but for her innovation - her ground-breaking album that blends the old-style classical music with pop/techno/jazz, and gives that genre of music (which had there for a while even before Mae) the kind of visibility that it did not use to have. This album is novel and upbeat, and is highly listenable both to people who like classical music and those who find it intimdating (or boring). Would especially recommend this to people in their 20s and 30s.

With his brassy sound, Arturo Sandoval is a glorious throwback to a tradition of big-band trumpeters who cast their voices over pumping horn sections, from Swing Era greats like Bunny Berigan and Harry James to bop players such as Dizzy Gillespie and high-note specialist Maynard Ferguson. Sandoval is most adept when he's fusing the rhythmic vitality of his Cuban heritage with the complexities of bebop, invoking the spirit of Gillespie's pioneering 1947 big-band efforts. It's in sharpest relief on the masterful take of Tadd Dameron's bop classic "Hot House," but the rhythms are churning and the brass are wailing elsewhere as well, as "Sandunga" and "Tito," named for the presence of timbales great Tito Puente. --Stuart Broomer
Customer Reviews:
Hes Blazing.......2005-12-16
No doubt about it HOT HOUSE is an extraordinary album Arturo Sandoval blazed through his solos along with Michael Brecker with great taste. This is a "must have" album!
Sandoval's Awesome "House".......2004-12-27
If you're a fan of Latin jazz, 'Hot House' is the real deal. It opens with a bang (literally) courtesy of the sizzling "Funky Cha-Cha," a sexy, stylish night-on-the-town chart with a delicious guest tenor solo by Michael Brecker. (Brecker also plays on the title track.) Ed Calle plays tenor on two tracks as well, the jamming "Sandunga" and "Closely Dancing," a breathtaking bolero with a clever twist--Rene Toledo's surprising and intoxicating electric guitar solo.
"Rhythm of Our World" is something truly special. Richard Eddy's powerful, evocative arrangement plays the same trumpet theme over multiple Latin styles, weaving it through rich orchestrations in varying rhythms and time signatures, with Sandoval taking a tasty solo during the samba movement. "Rhythm" is reminiscent of Sandoval's terrific "A Mis Abuelos" on his 'Danzon' CD, but is no carbon copy. It's an unforgettable piece of music.
There are more guest musicans on the CD, including the late Tito Puente (who shows up the final track and, of course, "Tito"), and the underrated Patti Austin on "No Se Tu."
Definitely deserving of the Grammy it won!.......2003-12-18
Arturo was spot-on with this album, and also made it appeal to the commercial public as well, because he is such an exciting player. Fans of Latin jazz be it if they're a fan of the style or not will really love this album. Arturo plays great, and has some amazing guests featured here as well. Most notably, one of my favorite tenor saxophonists, a former Maynard Ferguson bandmember, Chip McNeill! This guy plays amazingly well and definitely deserved a spot on this gem. "Funky Cha Cha" is the perfect opener, just comes right in blasting. Here Michael Brecker guests on tenor saxophone and plays some good stuff, and Arturo plays an exciting solo full of his usual bebop-flavored flurries. "Rhythm Of Our World" has a brilliantly played slow introduction from Arturo, and then segways into a faster pace. This song really swings and has a lot of soul. It pays tribute to all styles of Latino music! "Hot House" is a famous composition by Tadd Dameron and Arturo and company really bring it to life in this masterful take with some wonderful solos. The band is very tight as well. Arturo plays his own lead trumpet amazingly. "No Se Tu" is a tasty vocal feature for Patti Austin with great playing from Arturo as well. Patti really put a lot into this song, and it shows. Very romantic and sweet. "Sandunga" is a firey piece that really gives the opportunity for the soloists to rip it. The song is dedicated to all the girls who can really dance. "Tito" is a tribute to Rican music king Tito Puente, and Tito himself is featured on this song. Fans of Tito will really love this. Arturo did a great thing by making this song. "Closely Dancing" is a slower, more romantic song which really comes to life. Arturo plays it very passionately. My favorite track on the set is "Mam-Bop"! Most will probably agree. The tune is just insane. From Arturo screeching Double High D's throughout and trading with himself, taking it up an octave then back down then back up. However, my favorite part is the end, where they quote a bunch of bebop tunes, including "Salt Peanuts"! I also noticed "Straight, No Chaser" and "Good Bait" (which is also a composition by Tadd Dameron, co-written by Count Basie). The others were familiar but I could not think of them off the top of my head. "New Images" is a brilliant ballad with Arturo really showing off his control in the upper register, ending his emotional solo on an E over Double C. This song is a bit like "Closely Dancing", they are actually similar. "Cuban American Medley" is a great, fun tune. They play American songs such as "Going Back Home To Indiana", "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" and "Little Lulu Theme" in a Latin setting. This medley is a lot of fun. The last piece, "Brassman's Holiday", is an entertaining feature for trumpet, and has a joyous, almost Christmas-like feel to it.
This is a great album. It is great to know that this kind of music is finally getting the recognition it deserves.
HOT LATIN JAZZ WORTH 10 STARS **********.......2002-02-25
I own several Jazz and Latin Jazz albums and this one deserves to be in the top 5 in both categories; Arturo es simply FABULOSO, his style, performance, technique, everything is as great as it gets, he is a hyper-genius and shows it in every song; the highlights are Funky Cha Cha Cha, Rythm of our World (that tributes Latin and Brazilian Jazz concepts blended perfectly), No se tu (with a superb vocals by Patti Austin), Sandunga (perhaps the best cut in the album), and Mam-Bop. Do not let this gem pass you by, You will never regret adding this piece of art in your gallery.
His best work ever !!!.......2001-07-20
This album is right on target. It's a great blend of jazz and Latin music. We're wearing out this CD!!!!!! If you only have one Arturo Sandoval album, make it this one.

Gotta Have It If You Love 80's Club Music!.......2004-04-08
This collection is just FANTASTIC! It's much better then Volume 1. I've been driving around L.A. blasting this for a week and I'm still not tired of it. This brings back memories of clubbing in the 80's all the fun I used to have. "How to Pick up Girls" is really schmaltzy and the weakest track on this CD. "Helpless", "She Has A Way", "Shoot Your Shot", "Tack a Chance On Me", "Best Part of Breaking Up", and "Calling All Boys" were club standards in their day. "West End Girls" was a complete surprise, as it must be the original version before the Pet Shop Boys got their own sound. It sounds like Bobby Orlando all the way and even the lyrics are a bit different. A whole lotta fun!
The sound quality is perfe1ction on this CD and is really a must have for 80's club music collectors and aficionados!
High Enegy From the Great Bobby Orlando!.......2003-12-17
Yes, maybe all the artists use the same synth and drum machine but this is basically because the producer is Bobby Orlando. Depeche Mode uses the same synth sounds, and so do Erasure, which gives them their recognizable sound, which also gives Bobby O his unmistakable sound. Today, the songs featured sound outdated amongst trance, house, and dance. Nevertheless, this cd shows the beginning of it all, and the songs are great. Bobby O has some of the best productions, even if the same sounds are sometimes used by him over and over. He knows how to use his limited technology and get the best from it. The results: "Helpless" by the Flirts, among many others. This is a wonderful cd, and it summarizes the best of high energy that suddenly died into the form of house. You don't have to be an 80's music fan to enjoy this production. Get it before it goes out of stock!

Hot and lively in hot house........2006-02-07
Bruce Hornsby. Mmmmmusic with a big M. It`s jazzy ,funky, and full of life. Sometimes is messy, with different instrument`s "fighting" for it`s place in the whole "musical picture", but fore the most is soulfull music. Let`s move on. Track 1 Spider Fingers is messy, and has not a clear "structure". It`s overkilled from the beginning to the end. Track 2 White weeled limousine is much better. Here it kick`s off immeidiately, and the melody has that "moody" feel and you can feel a certain "freeze" down your back. Track 3 Walk in the sun, is an ok "sunny" song with happiness and joy spread all over from the beginning to the end. Track 4 The Changes is more in the "cool" style of jazzy feel, with quality "sting" all over. Track 5 The Tango King, is not much of a tango. Overkilled this one too. Too much, too soon. Track 6 Big Rumble is more "rock and roll" and has a certain guts all trough, but in some places it stand`s still from further creative development. Track 7 Country Doctor, has much of the same problem`s. Bruce Hornsby are best when he makes the song simple and more down to earth. Track 8 The longest night show`s quality in every department. It has a very good refrain which goes frictionfree into your`e ears and down to your`e soul.
Track 9 Hot house ball, well, it`s hot enough, but doesn`t swing you into the right mood. Too much and messy sometimes. Track 10 Swing street swing`s ok, and has a good "tune line" all trough. Track 11 Cruise Controll is an uptempo great song, especially in the beginning, but the refrain is a weak point and a let down. Anyway Bruce Hornsby is hot and lively on this CD.
Hornsby's best album!.......2006-01-13
Bruce Hornsby has now had a long and varied career as a musician somewhere in between pop, Dead/jamband, and jazz with little detours into bluegrass and rock along the way. All his albums have something to recommend them, but I find this one to be the most consistant and enjoyable. The sound, especially from the rhythm section, is huge and doesn't suffer from the separation in the mix that is evident in Harbor Lights or Spirit Trail. The songs are all engaging, and while the melodies might not be as immediate as on his first three albums, the band jamming factor more than makes up for it. When the group gets really revved up, such as in Spider Fingers or in the intense swinging section of Hot House Ball, it's a sort of musical ecstacy. Fans of Hornsby as a balladeer will probably prefer other records, but this one is really energetic and seems to be the one I come back to the most. Guest appearances by Pat Metheny and Bela Fleck are great while fitting seamlessly with the regular band. I wish Bruce would work with this drummer again.
good but could be better.......2003-10-23
I got this album because I really like the song "Walk in the sun" and I love his piano playing in it, he always has a story to go with each song which makes me picture what he sings about. The backround keyboards and backup singers put an addition to the songs. The songs I like most on here are "walk in the sun" "the tango king" "Big Rumble" "the longest night" and "Swing Street" I think those were the only hits that made this album so popular. The other songs needed work and I was sad to find out that this is the last album that Jerry Garcia was on before he died, he was a great guitarist and will definitely be missed. Over all this is a great album but it needed more work. His last good album was " A night on the town" I wish his future albums could've been just as good as that one.
Hot House rules!.......2003-01-06
If you're a Hornsby fan like me, you'll love this CD. If you're not a Hornsby fan like me, you'll love this CD.
Its so much fun! Check out Hot House Ball, Country Doctor, Big Rumble... heck... check it all out!

Bruce Hornsby Re-invents Himself.......2002-07-12
After a musical stumble in "Harbor Lights," Bruce Hornsby gets back on his feet and delivers a masterpiece. While lacking a haunting ballad like "Mandolin Rain" or "The Valley Road," "Hot House" is probably Bruce's most consistent and satisfying recording. As with "Harbor Lights," "Hot House" adds jazz influences to Bruce's Appalachian-rock. But, while "Harbor Lights" is mired in adult-contemporary noodling, "Hot House" kicks the intensity up several notches, and the jazz influences create a hearty, funky musical stew. "Hot House" is, in my opinion, the true musical heir of Lowell George's classic Little Feat recordings - and I can think of few higher compliments for a roots-rock album.

Joseph Lamb, a white musician who lived from 1887 to 1960, was considered one of the major ragtime composers of his era. By the end of his life, he had fallen into total obscurity, and even the ragtime revival hasn't made him a household name. His rags are different in style from Scott Joplin's, generally briefer and simpler in construction but still filled with lovely melodies and unaffected charm. The "American Beauty Rag," from which this disc takes its name, is only one of Lamb's many delicious miniatures (most of them under three minutes). Virginia Eskin has the style of this music down perfectly. She plays with just the right tempos (a trifle faster than would be appropriate for most of Joplin) and a lyrical sensitivity that doesn't prevent her from showing rhythmic drive. We're used to more than 49 minutes of music on most CDs, but 20 of Lamb's rags in a row are enough for one listening session. Don't give up before you reach the last one, though; "Nightingale Rag" is one of Lamb's best. A fascinating byway in American music is effectively explored and presented in realistic sound. --Leslie Gerber

American Sorta-Beauties.......2007-05-06
Ms. Eskin certainly can play piano. She can certainly read music. And she can combine the two well enough. What I found most distracting about this album, however, isn't the fact that she doesn't repeat many of the measures. It's that she tends occasionally to hit clinkers. After the first one or two, I found myself listening more closely for mistakes than actually enjoying the music. Another problem with this album is that her renditions are too bulky and heavy. I've heard much cleaner-sounding performances of Lamb's work.
I paid the money so I don't intend to return the CD. But it'll play well enough in my noisy car driving to and from work.
Good, but not great.......2005-10-10
I have owned this album since June 2000, and it inspired me at the time to find out more online and even to compose some rags of my own. It turns out that many of the melodies are made more "logical" by Eskin. However, she does use too much pedal, and she also does not take most of the repeats. It is unfortunate that she repeats only the first strain of "Ragtime Reverie," for there are no on-demand recordings of that work over the Internet.
good.......2005-07-31
its a good album but not very good
first of all in several rags virgina doesn't repeat where it says it must. second she plays several rags way to fast. Joe lamb was just like the others that ragtime must not be played fast the feeling get lost in the a rag that is played to fast like ragtime nightingale. I have the sheetmusic myself and it says "slow march tempo" not fast like virginia it plays.
but its a good album she plays with flair and style
Exquisite!.......2002-12-29
Joseph F. Lamb is generally thought of as one of the three greatest of the classical ragtime composers, the others being Scott Joplin and James Scott. It's a matter of taste, but many rank him almost as highly as Joplin, and this exquisite album shows why. Lamb's rags typically soar with wonderful, reverie-evoking melodies, unmatched in the ragtime canon. These melodies are offset by original, exciting, brisk passages. Virginia Eskin executes these gems wonderfully. She presents them always at the proper tempo and as written, without the filigrees that are so common in ragtime playing (Lamb doesn't need them!). The only drawback -- and it is a very minor one -- is that she sometimes treads a little too heavily on the pedal. This album is essential in even a small ragtime collection. In my large collection, it is one of my favorite and oft-played treasures.
Excellent Rags Played with Gusto.......2002-08-04
Up until Joseph Lamb, the only ragtime composer who could satisfy me was Scott Joplin. These rags are excellent and distinctly different from Joplin's, although both composers are obviously from the same genre. According to the liner notes, they even knew each other.
The pianist has a great love of the material, and it shows in her playing.
I highly recommend this CD to all fans of ragtime.

Bobby O is a Bobby Dazzler..........2006-07-19
Classic HI-NRG tracks from Divine, Flirts and the man himself Bobby O.Bit disapointed in the Whisper To A Scream Mix,but otherwise are realmust have for HI-NRG fans.In the words of Oh Romeo...These Memories...
Volume 2 Is Better, But This Ain't Bad.......2004-04-08
Volume 2 of this collection is much better. I'm only a fan of seven songs on this CD. All the songs are standard Bobby Orlando and a lot of fun, but "The Best of Bobby O" would be a better choice.
I've been loving "Sensitive" for almost 20 years now and I'm very please to have it along with "Desire", "Passion", "Native Love" (even though it has a free style beat), "I'm So Hot For You", "Danger", and "Love Reaction" in my collection. If you recognize the all the songs on this CD I say, go for it! But if you only recognize the club hits then look for them on other collections.
Hi-NRG Classics.......2003-06-22
I feel personally that Volume 2 was the best, only because the songs played out better then Volume One does. Here's the song by song play :
01) Roni Griffith - "Desire" (1981) : 12 Inch version here, Hi-NRG/Eurodisco classic, we love you Roni!!!!! (10/10)
02) The Flirts - "Passion" (1982) : EP version (5 minute version) here, gotta love the throbbing bass line on this one. The 12 Inch can be found on the "The Definitive "O" Records 12" Collection". (10/10)
03) Divine - "Native Love" (Remix) : This is not the original 1981 12 Inch Version, this one has more of a breakdance feel too it. The 12 Inch can be found on "The Definitive "O" Records 12" Collection". (8/10)
04) Barbie & The Kens - "Just A Gigolo" (1982) : Single Version, total "Private Idaho" rip off song, this is the odd one of the disc, too New Wave. The 12 Inch can be found on "The Definitive "O" Records 12" Collection". (8/10)
05) Bobby O' - "I'm So Hot For You" (1982) : 45 Version, the 12 Inch version is on the Best Of Bobby O'. (10/10)
06) Free Enterprise - "Make It On My Own" (1982) : 45 Version, Another odd one, trying to rip off R&B/Urban music and some flat out embarrassing rapping on this one. "Hello sweet momma, i'm going through a trama, how's bout' a little ramma?", Bobby what were you thinking? (00/10)
07) Bobby O' & Claudja Barry - "Whisper To A Scream" : 12 Inch Version here, classic classic classic! We love you Claudja!!!!! The EP version is on the Best Of Bobby O'. (10/10)
08) The Flirts - "Danger" - 12 Inch version here, but not the original, this version sounds more like a demo version. (5/10)
09) Oh Romeo - "These Memories" (1983) : 12 Inch Version, classic Hi-NRG. (10/10)
10) Divine - "Love Reaction" (1983) : 45 Version, total "Blue Monday" rip-off and not much singing from the Misssssssss Divine, but i can't help it, I love it! The 12 Inch can be found on "The Best Of Divine-Native Love". (9/10)
11) Gomez Presley - "The Letter" (1982) : 45 Version, the same guy who sang "Make It On My Own", sings this one but does a great job on this one, the bassline is bangin' on this one. Who would of thought Elvis gone Hi-NRG? The 12 Inch can be found on "The Definitive "O" Records 12" Collection". (10/10)
12) Hotline - "Ready Or Not" (1986) : 45 Version, Total "Two Of Hearts" by Stacy Q rip off here. (00/10)
13) Band Of South - "Sensitive" : 45 Version, campy lyrics, campy song period, classic! (10/10)
14) The Flirts - "You & Me" (1987) : 12 Inch Version, the end was near for "O" Records, Bobby O' was using the Stock, Aitken & Waterman sound which was the in-thing through out the late 80's and early 90's. In other words, Hi-NRG/Freestyle/and other 80's Disco became House Music. (9/10)
"The Definitive "O" Records 12" Collection" is a 2 CD set with 28 tracks from the "O" Records vault.
ANOTHER JAMMIN BOBBY.......2002-01-25
I FELT OBLIGATED TO PURCHASE THIS CD BECAUSE I AM A BIG BOBBY "O" FAN , AND BECAUSE I JUST LOVE HI-NRG MUSIC. WHEN I FINALLY GOT THIS CD I WAS VERY EXCITED THAT THIS CD INCLUDED THE ORIGINAL EXTENDED VERSIONS FOR THE ALL THE TRACKS. THIS CD IS PACKED WITH CLASSIC 80'S HI-NRG. THIS IS ANOTHER CD THAT MUST BE PURCHASED TO COMPLETE THE BOBBY "O" COLLECTION.

A must buy!.......2002-11-09
I'm a big fan of Hi-NRG music. Today it's hard to find all the tracks from the early 80s. This CD has so many big hits from those years that you can't stop dancing. Only original artists with the original versions, no remixes. Although you find only 7'' versions this CD is absolutely great. I highly recommend it, also (if you don't have them) buy the series Gay Classics Vol. 1 - 12 (Hot Productions), where you find the 12'' versions.

This ain't real strip club music!.......2004-02-13
Man, this ain't no real strip club music! The only song on here that is worth the cd's price is K7's song, and that ain't even strip club music either! If you want to hear REAL strip club music, buy a DJ Boss Pimp or 2 Live Crew cd and call it a day.
Hard to find songs in one place........1999-02-02
As a mobile D.J., I've found the "Strip Jointz" series of compilations very helpful (my wife doesn't appreciate the cover art or the concept, but...). If you're a fan of R & B or rap music, these include some very hard to find selections all on one CD. I bought this one for "Baby Got Back" by Sir Mix A Lot, "Dazzey Dukes" by Duice and "Give It To Me Baby" by Rick James. Great to throw on as background at a party, too!
