Perfect for singing along.......2001-01-30

I had never bought a karaoke cd before, so I wasn't sure what to expect from this one. It can be played in a regular cd player! It's a great cd to sing along to, for it has 2 tracks of each song; one with just the music, the other with a person singing the song (it's not the original artist, but hearing someone else sing and having it sound good was reassuring that I might be able to sing it too!) Plus, you can turn off the singer's voice just by adjusting the balance (the singer only comes in on the right side.) If you want to sing music better, or at least learn how to, it's a safe bet.

Not sure I'd trust a CD that can't even spell the artists name correctly.

Sing like Streisand.......2001-07-27

For all of us who have wanted to sing like Barbra (and who, at some point, hasn't?) here is your chance. Most of the songs (The Way We Were, People, and of course the indefatigable "Memory" from CATS) are here, but as a novelty, there's her cover of Natalie Cole's "Someone that I Used to Love" - a version that completely eclipsed Ms. Cole's. Nice arrangements here. My major complaint is the one that I have for all these karaoke tapes and CDS. I wish that instead of only 5 songs with vocal guides on one side (which to me is useless) they would have 10 songs with NO vocal guide. But that's a minor quibble, and not one that's bound to be rectified soon.
