Laughing and driving could be dangerous!.......2007-05-16

I LOVE my Richard Jeni cd! I love to watch him on his DVD's, all of which I own, because he is sooo funny to watch but now I can laugh my way through the big city traffic cracking up and the folks in the other cars have no idea why!! It really makes driving fun! Try it. You won't be sorry.

Richard Jeni is one of the funniest comedians you will ever hear and this CD has a nice collection of his bits. He can be quite crude but also very smart. His mastery of words is on par with George Carlin. Favorite parts on this CD would be "Women Smoke Cigars?", "Fred Robster", "Women: They Came from a Drying Planet" and "Cooking with Bill".

I saw the HBO special when it aired in 1996. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard in my life. I reccomend this CD highly. The "Love Songs" bit he does is hysterical--I laughed my way into getting a "6-pack" from constant laughter...Ha, I'm laughing right now as I recall it--GREAT !!!

Seriously, RJ has to be one of the funniest comedians I've ever heard. I love this CD. It does get a little slow, IMHO, near the middle with the "football referee" thing, but that may be only because I hate sports. But it picks right back up again with the "women's shoe salesman" bit. During the All-Love Song Radio bit, I literally fell down laughing when he imitated Ethel Merman ("I recommend the Ethel Merman Christmas Ballad Special. Very relaxing--'SIIILENT NIIIIGHT!'") and Christopher Cross. ("The guy always sounds like he's driving by. Meep meep! Thank you Chris!") Also "Fred Robster" is hilarious. I gave this CD four stars, but it should really be four and a half (lost half a star for the not-very-funny-to-me football referee bit, like I said). But all in all I was _not_ disappointed.
