I listen to Alanis interview CD on my computer, Alanis likes to talk all the time and she talks about her self-titled album Jagged Little Pill and follow-up Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie, She talks about all her songs like You Oughta Know, Hand In My Pocket, Ironic, You Learn, Head Over Feet, Uninvited, Thank U, Baba, Are You Still Mad, That I Would Be Good, UR, Unsent, So Pure and Joining You, Alanis says "I write all the songs and I have to find that all the time, Alanis seems to know where she lives and I think she lives in Montreal Quebec, Her different bands are Nick Lashley, Chris Chaney, Gary Novak, Joel Shearer, Deron Johnson, Jesse Tobias and Taylor Hawkins, I thought Alanis will be great.

This is an okay CD, because it's got HEAPS of information about Alanis' life. But it lost two stars because of the interviewer! She speaks so quickly she gets annoying. Get it if you think you will DIE without hearing Alanis talking about her own life, but if you're not that worried, just forget it. Besides, it's not up-to-date anymore anyway.

Sorry Alanis! I'm a huge fan of hers however, i'm going to be perfectly honest and say this is not the best. The reason i'm giving it 3 stars is because the information is good. It basically has alanis' whole life on it with clips of interviews with her. This is nice because you actually get to hear alanis talk about her life rather than this cd being a person going on and on on her career. The reasons why it lost two stars is because the pictures are repetitious. if you're looking for a lot of new pictures, you won't find them here. Most pages are a blown up picture and next to it, a focused portion of that same picture in a box. Also, the picture you see on let's say, page 4, you'll end up seeing on page 28, and 62. the SAME picture. so it's not 100 pages of various photos. it's morelike 30 pics (MAX) rearranged or placed in different sections of the booklet. If you're a big fan of alanis (know her life and career , inside and out) don't get it! waste of money, unless you really want to hear her voice (reason why i bought it :) However, if you're a new fan, pick it up definitely. you'll get to see those photos that you've never seen before and you'll also get some really good info on alanis' life, and stories of her life told by alanis herself!

Believe me folks, this is one of the best things you can purchase if you want to know more about the fabulous Alanis Morissette. It doesn't go into great detail but it has every major event that has taken place in her life and is very helpful for someone who isn't (or possibly someone who is) very familiar with Alanis Morissette to start off with.

This, my friends, is actually a book and a CD in one. The book has 100 pages stocked with tons of Alanis Morissette photographs(very great for the "true Alanis fan") and it is divided into eight truly informative chapters about this brilliant singer. At the end of the book there is discography about Alanis Morissette's CD's, even the ones only released in Canda that occured before the international Jagged LIttle Pill. The CD is also divided into eight chapters and follows the same information as the book, for the most part, but each has different facts than the other. On the CD, there is a female interviewer asking Alanis Morissette questions that a lot of people seem to want to know and I was interested by Alanis's eloquent responses. The fist chapter (of both the book and CD) is about Morissette's childhood and her being a prodigy at such an early age and goes briefly into her debut single "Fate Stay With Me." The success of her very first album in Canda was covered in the second chapter and the making of her second album and introduction to Glen Ballard, her furutre partner in music, is covered in the third chapter. Chapter Four was concerned with the making (but not release) of her Morissette's album Jagged Little Pill. Chapter five deals with the content of her dynamic, passionate album and how the public responded to her first international single: "You Oughta Know." The sixth chapter conveys the extreme success and popularity of Jagged Little Pill and how people started to view Alanis. Seven is about the strange and tragic reclusiveness of Alanis after her success and touring. Maintaining such a low profile during these years led people to wonder if she would ever do music again. But, she proved them all wrong when Alanis Morissette, released her popular, souful album Suppssed former Infatuation Junkie (which is all in the last chapter). There you have it: a very talented artist like Alanis Morissette being interviewed about her life. Truly remarkable and a suggested gift for a fan. Get Alanis's Star Profile and I think you'll probably enjoy it. If nothing else, it is a very good piece of memorabilia for someone who likes ALanis.

This profile IS a documentary. What do you expect to find in a profile of a band. It is perfect for hardcore fans and anybody else interested in No Doubt. It has no music on it because it is a doc-u-ment-ary. People looking for music, this is not for you. Just buy one of their CDs if you want to hear them, don't expect to get a greatest hits cd with this profile.

Ok there aren't any songs but, if you are truly dedicated to the band I think you'd be interested in this it is a 50 and something minute 1 track interveiw/documentary. I loved listening to it. There is also a 100 page full color book with the bands story in it. I liked all the great pictures.

I am No Doubt's biggest fan, the first day I got this set I had read the book twice and listened to the interview twice! I still listen to it to this day and I bought it 2 years ago. I almost have it memorized. "In the beggining, it was hard to imagine that..." yah okay..you buy it and find out what was hard to imagine!

There is no music on this CD. The whole documentary is also completely on track #1 making it impossible to stop in the middle without having to start at the beginning. The documentary is intersting and the little book that comes along with it is nice, but if you're looking for music, keep on looking.

How can you say that the Rev. exploits his fans ? All of the negativity that is being thrown at him is only adding the fuel to the already indistructable force known as Marilyn Manson. Well i am as big as it gets when it comes to Tori fans so u can imagine that i wanted to get this item right away. When Tori was actually talking it was Great, but unfortunately that was only half of the CD. The rest was just a bunch of people talking about her. Hey if i wanted other people to talk about Tori, i will ask my friends. I was kinda disappointed, but it is Tori and also the booklet is nice so it gets 3 stars.

This is definitely a collector's item. An audio CD that runs for about an hour (or so it seems) and a "picture book" that includes a biography of Tori and some photos. One thing though ... If you read closely, inside of the little biography thingie, they mention the song "Past the Mission" - but instead of writing "Past the Mission" it says "Past the Mansion". Another fascinating thing to look for .. on the CD interview, there's one woman who was talking about searching the net for Tori sites..(note, this is in 1996, I believe).. she says something about finding "over 75 sites" on Tori, and what a shock it was. (Currently there are probably thousands) Has some humorous stuff on Tori, but the audio sound is kind of low-quality. But just because this audio documentary is kind of funky, does NOT alter my theory that Tori is the prime almighty goddess of the universe. :P

Rehash of VH-1 Legends.......1999-06-29

Having purchased this CD without a description available, I bought the proverbial "pig in a poke". And a disappointing purchase it was. Hoping to hear previously unreleased recordings from the mighty Zep, I was let down by an audio documentary which has an all-too-familiar resemblance to VH-1's "Legends" expose on the band. No new information and none of the video. I'm not sure to what the other reviewer's of this CD are referring, but I recommend saving your money and keeping your eyes peeled for the replay on VH-1.

Unfathomable indeed! The CD to lead (or is that LED) us into the new millenium is STAR PROFILE...why, who would have thought of such a deep introspective, yet, Zeppelinesque title? Keats? Some other English poet? A mystery perhaps, but not as much of a mystery as what is instore for those who actually may have never heard this album as I have. Check the date of release...april fools y'all...

This is easily the greatest CD I have yet to listen to. It has lyrics, an assortment of instruments, and a mixture of various elements into a unified theme that can only be described in terms of anticipation and longing. Let's face it: this hasn't been released as of the writing of this review, there's no info on what the format is, and I don't know what Plant is up to other than making more money, and I LOVE IT!!! I ordered 17 copies, and highly recommend you do the same.

Newer Floyd fans might enjoy this combination CD and CD size book which traces the bands origins right up through "The Division Bell," but long time fans will learn nothing new here. I actually liked the book a lot better than the CD. This really couldn't even be called an interview disk since their are only a precious few minutes of old and badly recorded interviews on the CD. It's a band biography, period!

Hey everyone I love the BSB with all of my heart mind and soul. I bought this CD and listened to it the monent I recieved it. There isn't any singing, just an interview but it is really good. You have to turn it up a little and the guy asking the questions is kinda dumb, but it comes with a book full of pictures of the guys, and stuff all about them....I love it soooo ,much and I bet you will too! It makes a great addition to any fans collection!

I would only like to say a few things. For the mindless people out their who take what they hear on the radio as good music I hear to tell you that the promoters and record labels have you on a leash. Poppish and uninspired music is forced down your throat to a point were you have to like. My suggestion to you is to listen the college station were you good music but you don't have to hear the same thing every ten minutes.

I have always been a fan of Prodigy. Despite the lack of music has made me consider the different ratings, it was a needed album. But I recomend choosing others albums from Prodigy if you want to listen to some extremely creative and inspirational music.
