This live 1989 recording from London's Royal Festival Hall was originally broadcast on British radio and features the now-defunct BBC Radio Orchestra. It's a solid 74-minute collection of well-known Sondheim, including multiple selections from Follies, Sunday in the Park with George, Sweeney Todd, and Merrily We Roll Along. The cast of British singers includes Claire Moore (Miss Saigon, Phantom of the Opera) and headliner Michael Ball, who would later appear in the London cast of Passion and here croons his way through "Not While I'm Around" and "Too Many Mornings" (with Moore). The performances may not quite match the original casts, but the singers perform well, and the orchestra sounds great. --David HoriuchiCustomer Reviews:
