Show me Pinette's Work anytime.......2007-08-02

I stumbled on John's work many years ago during an special he did on TV. Since then I have caught him at Comedy Clubs and on DVD and CD of course. He is a natural as well as being a very nice person. I have been back-stage twice to greet him and he is always gracious.
As for funny? He's hilarious and hopefully you'll catch him at a club too. This CD in your car will help a long drive become a short drive...but watch out he's addictive!

Very Funny.......2007-07-26

This CD is very well done, very funny and yet clean. First heard it in my car and just about had to pull over because I laughing so hard. One of the best comedy CD I have heard in a long time.

John Pinette's comedy is great ! The tape has more material than the CD (the tape is not for listeners under 16). I can't wait for John Pinette to put out a new one.

Not that funny..........2007-03-31

Look, I dig stand up, and I dig fat jokes, but this guy isn't that great.

I got a friend who loves John Pinette, but I can't see it.

He tells jokes about how fat he is, how he likes to eat, how he doesn't like to move. Its the same over and over and over again. Its dull and it's too easy. They're not even jokes, really, just comments on how fat he is.

Also a fair part of his act consists of "asian people talk with accents and thats funny" which I find cheap. Stereotypes shouldn't be jokes, and even when they are, they shouldn't be THE joke. John says something with broken english and the audience laughs really hard. Why? Why is that funny, here in the 20th century?

Maybe I just don't "get" his humor, but I don't think this guy is any good. I perfer comedians who tell jokes.

On the plus side, this guy is clean, which is rare these days. But there are better clean comedians around. Try getting a Brian Regan album or an Emo Philips album. Jerry Seinfelds album is good too. Try those guys because they're clean and legitimately funny.

I have listened to this CD continuously. My husband and I laugh at him like we have just listened to it for the first time. It never gets old I can't wait for anything new he puts out, he is so funny.
