THIS IS RUTH'S SECOND ALBULM, HER FIRST CD "EL TOQUECITO" GOT ME HOOKED AS A FAN, AND NOW THAT I'VE HEARD HER SECOND ALBULM, SHE STILL CONTINUES TO AMAZE ME WITH HER VOCAL TALENT AND RANGE. MY FAVORITE SONGS ON THE ALBUM ARE "ENAMORADA DE TI", "OJITOS NEGROS", OF COURSE THE TITILE SONG IS AMAZING,"A PARTIR DE HOY", IT'S BEAUTIFULLY SAD AND MELODIC. "LA CHISMOSA","NUNCA MAS","NO PUEDO ESTAR SIN TI","LA CUMBIA","NUNCA TENGO SUFICIENTE" AND "VENENO" ARE TOTALLY HIP DANCE SONGS YOU CAN SING AND DANCE TO. SHE DOES A REMAKE OF DOLLY PARTON'S SONG "I'LL ALWAYS LOVE YOU". THIS WHOLE CD IS A BEAUTIFUL WORK OF ART AND REPRESENTATION OF TEJANO/MEXICAN MUSIC. YOU GO RUTH!!!

If I hadn't read an article in the Canton Repository, I never would have suspected Ruth was not born and raised in a Spanish speaking country. Her potential is limitless, her voice is stunning and I would really like to hear her sing and perform R&B music in English as well. Additionally, It was my pleasure to email your Canton Repository article to Macy Gray. I'm sure the two of you will meet some day in the near future, if you havn't met already. I think that this album reflects all of the hard work that RUTH has done her whole career. I have been a fan since "El Toquecito" She is pretty unique. Who would ever think that an African-American woman could sing those cumbias in Spanish like she does? I also recommend the Mariachi ballad in English. It is awesome!!! All I can say is: YOU GO GIRL!!!
