Soda Stereo alcanza la madurez en su estilo.......2006-01-05

Su carrera ascendente toca el cielo con este album. Cerati critica su primer album, "Soda Stereo", pero ya desde "Sobredosis de TV" se notaba un sonido diferente al normalmente escuchado, con "Nada Personal" logran un mejor trabajo, "Estoy azulado" es impresionante, pero con "Signos", el grupo logra su total madurez, desde la sugestiva cancion que lleva el nombre del album, pasando por la super enganchable y original "Persiana americana", la ritmica y electrica "Profugos", y para mi la mejor cancion del disco "En camino", con un ritmo y melodia unicos, la voz de Cerati que se desgarra, y un ritmo magistralmente llevados por Zeta y Alberti. Las otras canciones tambien cumplen a la medida de las mencionadas como "Sin sobresaltos", en resumen aires de new wave, rock and pop y el sonido propio de Soda. Este disco es un clásico del rock latinoamericano, super recomendado.

hola pues yo soy un fan de soda desde chico, y ahora que ya estoy mas crecidito ja ja ja pues ando coleccionando sus discos, y este(signos)es realmente bueno. Todas las canciones de este album son excelentes, magnificas letras complementadas con un estilo musical propio.

Uno de los mejores.......2004-01-09

Junto con Dynamo, Signos encabeza mis recomendaciones de los discos de Soda.
Este disco aparte de mostrar un cambio en la calidad del sonido de la época tiene canciones simplemente espectaculares.
Creo que Signos es una canción de Virus que Soda hizo con mas estilo. No existes y Final Caja Negra son también muy destacables.
Disco para tener si o si en la colección.

This,their third cd is,in my opinion,the most mature of the first three cds,which,by the way,are the best ones.
Different sound,better singing,a classic of it's time.
To favorites to consider:
El Rito and Signos.
Try it,if you want to hear a good example of good latin american rock.

...but this Argentine trio's mid-80s effort holds up extremely well. English-language only rockers are missing out on this superb Latin American group. Lead man Gustavo Cerati's guitars dominate this disc throughout, and to me it seems one of his American influences is former Chic guitarist Nile Rodgers. "Prófugos" ("Fugitives") and "No Existes" ("You Don't Exist") are total jams; "Persiana Americana" ("American Persian") is an enjoyable offbeat refrain, and "Signos" ("Signs") features a crescendoing harmony accented by spectacular acoustic guitar.

Para el conocedor de rock latino, este la obra maestra de soda stereo,sin lugar a dudas un album que recorre muchas formas de estirar la musica al estilo soda.mis mejores canciones son profugos y no existes,me transportan al lado desesperado de cerati y compania se lo recomiendo al amante de la buena musica, inspiracion total.

Brilliant record. Too bad that Amazon ships the USA(Non-latin) edition, which has different tracks from the Argentinian edition (2 different tracks and 2 additional tracks). Otherwise it would have been a 5!

I bought this because of Andrea's review, and I'm glad I did. This CD of Argentine music in a folkloric style is superb. It's wildly romantic, exquisite poetry set to beautiful melodies and played and sung with heart and soul.

These songs are about passion that knows no bounds. There is so much love in this CD, it will overflow into your heart and warm it...and there's no limit to the times I could hear this, it's a work of art.

Nocheros says in their booklet: "...amor y arte son los fuegos divinos que dan aliento al alma".

Born in 1951, Mexican composer Marcela Rodriguez blends the resources of the European tradition with those of Latin America. In London, where she completed a course of guitar study, she devoted her time mostly to the tradition of European music. Back in Mexico City, she continued her studies under music pedagogue Jesús Estrada and Mario Lavista, the most eminent living Mexican composer. With the exception of one cast member, this is a re-creation of the premiere of her newest opera, which took place in the Fall 2004 at the sixth annual International Music and Scenic Festival in Mexico City. Composed on a libretto by Carlos Thiebaut, it reflects on the suicide of the Roman philosopher Seneca, which was ordered by the Emperor Nero.
