Música monótona y chapucera.......2000-06-13

En su más reciente producción El Símbolo mantiene su estilo conformado principalmente a base de sonidos electrónicos y ritmos tropicales como la cumbia. Asimismo, conserva sus letras optimistas, a través de las cuales invita a la diversión o alude a anécdotas jocosas, por lo general relacionadas con el amor. Lamentablemente, también se conservan en este disco la chapucería y la monotonía de los trabajos anteriores del trío argentino, al igual que su abuso de las fórmulas comerciales y, por ende, la falta de creatividad.

Desde el punto de vista musical, algunas pistas poseen una identidad más marcada gracias a la utilización de elementos de la samba (`Ésta sí, ésta no'), el disco (`Quieres bailar'), la balada (`Siempre a tu lado'), y la onda retro (`Oh la la la'). Esta última pieza recuerda inevitable y vergonzosamente el `Shalala lala', de Vengaboys, no sólo por la semejanza del título sino también de la melodía.

Las tres canciones principales del CD son `Canta', `¿Qué pasó?' y 'Párate y baila', repetidas al final como remixes.

Viva Cancun 2000!.......2000-07-27

This is the best CD I every bought. 1,2,3 is the party song of Cancun! This song brings back very good mermories of Canun's night life! The whole CD is very good, my favorite songs are tracks 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16. Well, you could say I love all the tracks on this CD, but really my favorite tracks are 1,7,& 16. If like this CD you will also love the Saco Boys ( Follow The Leader).

I just came back from vacation in Cancun and they play 1,2,3 all the time, it's a very popular song down there! It, along with El Simbolo's other songs, is very fun to listen and dance to.. it evokes pleasant memories of the fun I've had in Mexico.

After spending a week working and vacationing in Merida, Mexico I was thrilled to find this Cd in the states. We listened and danced to the music of El Simbolo every night while in Mexico. The song "Uno, Dos, Tres" is very popular in Mexico now and for very good reasons - it is great dance music and even has its own dance motions.

I have heard all the songs on this album, and if you like latin music, this C.D. is the best. It has great songs to dance to, and just to listen to. Every song has a great beat!
