Marc's debut album is raspy, brutal and nothing short of perfection. He is an artist the likes of which we haven't seen ia a long time. His traditional Salsa is wonderful and erotic, even when he is speaking of betrayal and hurt. Marc has a voice that charges from the very depths of his soul out through your radio and down into the pit of your gut, knocking you to the floor. He may be small in build and height but the surprise comes through in his very powerful voice and in all of his beautiful songs. He is right on the money and has come very far. He will be making music for a very long time, I am quite sure.

I have always loved Marc right from the beginning. I have all his albums and I know all his songs. No matter weather he sings in english or spanish. I will always be a fan of Marc. For life. He's always going to make it to the top. And I wish him much succes always. Hearing him sing is like a rainbow in the sky. He sings with such emotion and feelings. This is only his debut spanish language album, and you can already tell that the man has TALENT! He's the first salsa singer to ever sell out Madison Square Garden, not once, not twice, but three times! I was @ his concert on Fabruary 10th, 2000 @ Madison Square Garden, which was also aired on HBO, and it was great, there was not one person there that did not enjoy themselves, the place was packed, not one seat left empty, TOTALLY SOLD OUT! Young or old, you'll love this CD! He sings and expresses himself in such a passionate way. And out of this CD, my favorite song is "El Ultimo Beso", which was written by Marc's dad, Felipe Muniz. GO OUT & BUY IT, IT'S WORTH IT!

Marc Anthony is one of the best artists of salsa. He sings like an angel. I went to see him at the DAR Constitution Hall on March 21 and there were no empty seats. Everybody was screaming his name and cheering. He sang beautifully. I love him so much, I even named my son after him.

Great introduction to Marc!.......2004-06-17

This album really was significant in Marc's career because it was his first album that bridged the gap between his English-language music (freestyle) and the Latin sound that he is best known for today.

I love the songs on this album because there is a wonderfully engaging range of tempos and styles that keeps it lively.
We start out with "Palabras Del Alma," a smooth and very catchy salsa number that is followed by "Si Tu No Te Fueras," a salsa cut featured in the film I LIKE IT LIKE THAT. Then, "Hasta Que Te Concoci," a song written by Juan Gabriel, showcases Marc's range as a romantic vocalist. There is even an English-language track (that evolves into Spanglish later on), "Make It With You." This song is a romantic ballad that could be played while you slowdance with your lover, or prepare a romantic dinner in the kitchen. If you want to hear Marc's earlier Latin pop, "Juego o Amor?" is a great track (#7) to spin.

I give this CD 5 out 5 because it was done with effort, energy and originality. These are all qualities that have made Marc the musical legend that he is today.
