Its OK...(Mas o Menos).......2000-12-02

After being a little disappointed with the first volume of the same series (14 Hot Cumbias), I gaved this collection an extra star for being more honest with the true sound of cumbia. They brought back some artists from volume one like Banda Los Lagos, Sonora Chevere, Sonora Meliyara, and Sonora Tropicana. At least they have better tracks from all four of these artists. The style of each cumbia is quite unique to say the least. One song sounds like its very "tropical" and the next song is in "banda" style. Another thing to notice is that most of these songs range from four to six years old. Track 13. La Chica Violeta from Cuatrero Musical is a banda style cumbia that brought me quite a few memories...from 1994. This album should be called 14 Hot CLASSIC Cumbias. Again, just like the first volume, if you like variety in your collection of cumbias then buy it. Otherwise you may not be happy with this collection.
