I enjoy the stories incorporated with the musical sounds. It's a shame that there not on video. It would be candy for the eyes.The songs are very discriptive.I am a Spanish Major student. And was introduced to Willie Colon's music at the University. Enjoyable!

Desafortunadamente la calidad de sonido hace que el comprar este disco no valga la pena. Unas canciones, como Pio Pio si suenan perfectas, mientras Cali suena como la musica que oigo a veces en las estaciones AM en el medio de una tormenta electrica, y la montan~a del oso la calidad es mejor pero no al nivel de se deberia esperar. Yo no compro un CD para escuchar eso.

Yo recomendaria que los interesados en la musica de la sonora poncen~a compraran el 45 aniversario, que tiene varias de las mismas canciones, grabadas mas recientemente. Quizas ese suene como debe sonar un CD.

This Sonora Poncena compilation makes for a great intro to the band. It got me hooked for sure. The music is smokin'! Great salsa dance album (and they're even better live). Of special note is Yolanda Rivera's vocal performance on Borinquen, it's so intense it sends a chill up my spine when I listen to it.

For all of you Sonora Poncena fans, this is a must have. As with all Sonora recordings, the piano is played to its peak by Papo Lucca, but the arrangements on the songs are better than ever. Just when you think that you have the flow of their music down, they throw a curve that makes you stand up and replay the part of the song to be sure that you got it right, Then when you are sure, you can't believe your ears. For those who dance, this has it all. From what I call Salsa Dura (No bebo mas!) to Merengue (La Maleta), to a tribute to Columbia (A Cali), to guaguanco (Sigo pensando en ti). A latin collection isn't complete without this.

Vico has always has some tight rhymes. Like he says in one song he has el flow. My favorite songs of this cd are Capicu and Masocote. I like his cd cause he keeps it clean. Its not full with sex and violence like most reggaeton is. Eddie Dee and tego are also featured in the cd.

Vico C is back! I love his lyrics and beat. The duos are awesome and will get you up and dancing. What I like best about Vico is that he can give you a funky beat without the explicit lyrics. Go out and get this one!

this cd is the best to own after tego's. the track he has with eddie dee and Tego is really hot. Also number 6 with tony touch and number 8 named superman are hot. My cd included a dvd im not sure if all of them offer it. The dvd shows scenes of his family, famous djs like luny tune and noriega and a scene with tego and eddie dee where they are making a song. the only thing i dont like is that it only has 12 tracks and 3 more that are just repeats of other tracks in the cd but with a different beat. You would think since he has been in jail for a long time and has been writing while inside would have had more tracks. Other than that the cd is worth more than the 16 bucks your gonna pay for it.

Once again "El Filosofo" has done it again. This CD is better than anything from Vico ever. His Duo's with Eddie D and Tego are off the hook. Besides Tego's CD, this is the best CD out there. His reggeaton version are money. If there is a reason to get any CD, you can apply it to this one.

        5 out of 5 stars Una verdadera lección de flowowow.......2005-03-09

        El último cd de Vico que compré antes de comprar "En honor a la verdad" fue el de "Vico C en Vivo", el cual no me gustó, pues sentí que Vico se alejó del tema que me atrajo a su música en "Aquel que había muerto". Sin embargo, pienso que la más reciente producción de Vico, aunque no "Cristocéntrica" no divaga mucho del mensaje de conciencia que Vico predica. Espero que Vico salga con una producción más "Cristiana" en el futuro, pero entretanto puedo confesar que quedé impresionado con su producción.

        Mis tracks favoritos: "5 de septiempre"; "Mi forma de tiraera"; "Para mi barrio" . Un "bonus" es el pequeño skit "En la barbería".

        Si debo comparar la capacidad poética, por decir, de Vico en esta producción, es con la de EMINEM, no en el contenido [pues EMINEM es una porquería], pero en la manera en que no gasta sus palabras solo para asegurar que algo rime. Arriba, Vico. Sigue adelante.

        Yo soy un Fan de Vico, siempre me ha gustado su musica. Unas de las razones que escucho su musica es porque habla la verdad y su disco aquel que habia muerto cambio mi vida. Para los que verdaderamente saben de Vico y son cristianos saben que poco a poco se le ha ido poniendole duro el corazon a vico desde aquel que habia muerto, y cada disco que hace lo enseña. Este disco En Honor a la verdad me gusta mucho, pero el problema es que no es suficiente cristo-centrico. Man para mi VICO es el #1 y siempre sera un classico... pero hablo la verdad que no es el mismo que antes (sera por la fama). De todas maneras, si te gusta a Vico C compralo :-D.

        Primero, dejeme decirle que Vico C lo ha hecho todo, este tipo se puede ir mañana y seguira siendo el numero UNO en rap en español...nadie ha escrito con el corazon como el señor este...

        Ahora, hay otro tipo out there right now, que tiene el juego por la moña, y ese condenado se llama Tedo Calderon...Tego la pone, la quita y la vuelve a poner con style papa...

        Los tres mejores rappers en español son Tego, Vico y Mexicano...Tempo tambien ha hecho lo suyo...

        Este Cd creo que tiene una sola cancion que esta un poco weak, Capicu creo que es...aparte de esa, todo esta bueno, desde el intro hasta el interlude...

        Las dos canciones que creo que estan pegando ahora mismo, en el honor a la verdad y mi forma de tiraera, son stand outs, estan en su punto...Pero la cancion del CD sin duda es, FLOWOWO...Esa cancion esta en su punto señores, se puede escuchar 500 veces seguidas y no aburre...

        Bueno, todo cariño al Señor Vico, si me lee, brother, estas en lo tuyo...TE COMISTES A TEGO...No me gusto much el flow de Tego en el bueno, el malo, y el feo....Creo que hasta Eddie se comio a Tego...El tego en esa cancion no es el conocemos, creo que se intimido un poco...

        Tego...ya tu sabes negro...estoy esperando hasta enero para cojer lo tuyo...

        Vico, de nueno Señor, estas en el swing, cuando venga pa miami avisale a la sociedad brother, te pago hasta 80 pesos pa ir a escucharte...

        Al Mexicano...hermano se te quiere, pero te estan dejando atras, saca algo nuevo con sentimiento, pa que te respeten, se esta hablando que le tienes envidia a Tego, empieza tirandole a Tego, entre tu y Tego, sera la guerra del año...

        De corazon, ustedes tres son el Genero...PEACEEEEE
