Este gran volumen es la segunda entrega discografica de los Reyes Gitanos y al igual que su antecesor (Gypsy Kings, simplemente)es todo un despliegue de maravillosa Rumba Flamenca, no en balde son sus mejores exponentes; elogio grandes trabajos como SERANA (Pura rumba explosiva, buenisima), exquisitas melodias como CAMINANDO POR LA CALLE y VIENTO DEL ARENA, bellas baladas melancolicas como TRISTA PENA y EL CAMINO, piezas muy prendidas y alegres como NINA MORENA y VAMOS A BAILAR, muy buenas versiones de temas clasicos como VOLARE y SOY (sencillamente divinas) y sin faltar deliciosos arreglos instrumentales como PASSION, LIBERTE y la que le da el nombre al disco, MOSAIQUE (muy rica en percusion y cuerdas); si eres amante de lo latino y lo flamenco, y sobre todo si eres fan de los Gypsy Kings, este disco es INDISPENSABLE en tu coleccion, compralo!!!

I had a cassette of Mosaique actually I still have it but needed a CD. The CD I received is in awesome shape and was mailed to me in a timely manner. I have since played it at least 5 times and look forward to listening to the Kings many, many more times to come! Thank you for such awesome service Amazon!

Delves deeper into Flamenco.......2004-03-15

This is like Bamboleo, but goes deeper within. The range of human emotions is expressed, from melancholy to elation. Beautiful guitar work. These are masters of both string and voice.

Best of them all.......2003-03-27

I own seven Gipsy Kings CDs (including this one), and this one has to be my #1 favorite. The songs on here can stick in my head for hours. Probably my favorite track is "El Camino", but they are all fantastic.

If you are just starting to listen to the Gipsy Kings, this CD should be one of the first ones you buy. The songs don't seem to be as traditional as the ones on other disks, but they are all very very good.

Mosaique.......2001-06-17

Mosaique is another brilliand release containing great songs. Standout tracks are: Volare, Soy, Vamos A Bailar, the beautiful Trista Penna and the very atmospheral Viento Del Arena. It is simply a masterpiece. The Album containes brilliant Instrumental tracks, the best of which is Passion which must be the most beautiful song I have ever heard. The US release is slightly different from the Euro release. The Us release containes the catchy Nina Morena, but the Euro release containes Bossamba, an added instrumental track. The version of Caminado Por La Calle is also much better on the Euro release, with the added percussion and sax. Both releases are however very recommended.

Initially published in 1986, "La Mosaïque De La Rêverie" is one of the most famous and successful albums of Nippon symphonic rock. This is a very personal work, that has become a symbol of the prolific Eighties Japanese Progressive rock school. Despite a certain GENESIS touch which might be observed, it strikes a perfect balance between vocals, synthesizers and piano, flute and guitar. This classical rock is very lyrical, subtle and dynamic. "Abysmal Masquerade" (1987) is a live album recently reissued by the Musea label, now completed by alternative versions and bonus tracks. Not to be missed !

As steady as a click, CAST carries on making albums, so regularly that you have the feeling the Mexican band has always been a part of the Progressive rock scene. It even could have been so, if only a lack of funds had not forced them to wait twenty years until they could release their works. At least, since the bandÂ’s birth in the Seventies, it had time to polish up its music ! "A Live Experience" showed the arrival of these musicians from Mexicali to Musea, and this allows the delighted listener to listen to their best titles recorded between 1995 and 1998. Eighth studio opus by CAST (Â…Since 1994 !), "Imaginary Window" (1999) develops lyrical compositions perfectly structured. "Legacy" is from 2000 and is as good as the ones before, whereas the double-CD "Laguna De Volcanes" makes for the first time, covers of former tracks in Spanish! "Castalia" is the witness of a concert given in Italy on that same year. Now with a dozen disks (Studio and live) in their pocket and as happy promoters of the BajaProg festival in Mexicali, Alfonso VIDALES and the guys could easily have some deserved rest. No way ! 2003Â’s double-CD "Al-Bandaluz" shows that CAST is still far from reaching the end of its musical evolution. The staff is renewed, still based around its charismatic leader and the singer Francisco HERNANDEZ. From their early works influenced by Seventies Progressive rock (CAMEL, GENESIS, PREMIATA FORNERIA MARCONIÂ…) and neo Progressive (MARILLION, IQÂ…), you can obviously find highly symphonic instrumental parts. The Latin side is still there, though itÂ’s not ostentatious. Actually the evolution is more generally based on a constantly rising ambition regarding songwriting. Here diversity rules. Watch out, this is an essential release for 2003 ! The concept-album "Nimbus" (2004) continues this will to embrace different musical styles, still pushing CAST closer to perfection... It seems so difficult to Alfonso VIDALES and his fellowmen to restrain their creativity today that they have started to collect double studio albums ! The new opus "Mosaïque" (2006) doesn't change that rule as it presents sixteen new or older tracks, all of which were previously unreleased. This symphonic and adventurous music has gone beyond the mere neo Progressive rock for a long time now, as it integrated new instruments such as saxophone, cello or flute. The warmth of Spanish language contributes in giving, if necessary, a unique touch to this enchanting music. An essential album !

I had to search via Yahoo to find this album. When you hit the Cast link no Cast albums are returned either.

Not my favourite Cast album. I prefer the traditional neo-prog. This has too many wind instruments for my liking. Saw them at Baja Prog 2007 and they have changed the band considerably. New vocalist. New guitarist and new person on sax, flute etc (at least I don't remember him last time I saw them).

Rocio Guitard's extraodinary vocal talent and songwriting abilities will pull you in the moment you hear the first notes of "Just Because". An infectious groove with spectacular vocal lines and a featured Hammond B3 solo by the legendary Howard Wales (The Grateful Dead, Harvey Mandell) will start you on a journey through a variety of Jazz, World Music, Latin Ballads and even some Triple A.

2002 Winners at NCSA's International Songwriting Competition were "All Of You" with Best Jazz and "No Tengas Miedo" with Best World. The Latin mood of "Feels Like A Memory" is enhanced by the tasteful guitar lines of Terry Haggerty (Sons of Champlin), and the talents of every member of Rocio's fantastic band are showcased throughout the album, culminating in a powerful instrumental rendition of Herbie Hancock's "Watermelon Man" with Don Fox (guitar) and Al Vasquez (percussion, scat vocals) of Loca Mota together with Ian Favell (bass), Thomas Loos (drums) and Taylor Cutcomb (keyboards) of Soulvine. It is followed by the Spanish ballad "Vamos A Gozar", as simple and as haunting of a song as "Aire". She closes this masterpiece with a completely different version of "Just Because" which will make it hard to decide which one you like best.

Mosaique is a strong piece of musicianship inspired by Rocio's multicultural background and extensive musical experience. The album will treat you to a fresh approach to modern acoustic Jazz interpretation with a sprinkling of World, Latin and Pop thrown in for good measure.

The variety of styles touched me very much.I especially like the spanish songs, but every song touched me in it's own way.
I must recommend this CD to people who like extraordinary music and different styles! I hope we will her mor from Rocio Guitard!!!!

A breath of fresh air and some new jazz.........2002-06-07

I've had this album for a while now and listen to it often. From the downbeat of the first cut it just gets you smiling. The songs vary from acoustic jazz to latin to pop and flow seamlessly from one cut to the next. The arrangements are fresh and the performances sound live. Stereo imaging is huge with a well defined stage. The vocals are awesome.

Some of the cuts are sparse and others dense but the thematic delivery is constant and engaging. This album could be called eclectic but that infers the best of several, diverse styles and would be a compliment for this masterpiece.
