    Frankly, this is one of greatest musical albums ever recorded. I wore out my cd and am buying a replacement. La Gloria Eres Tu is in the top ten tunes ever written or recorded. The orchestra is like a fine cigar, wine and a meal.

    The best recording, remastered, I have ever heard of the Aragon! It doesn't sound like the old recordings... No... It sounds like the Aragon did when you were listening to the orchestra live. It is absolutely a MUST HAVE for anyone who enjoys tropical music. "Espiritu Burlon" is just as much fun as it was when we danced to it in the late 50's, when we listened to the introduction rather than dance it to have some fun with the amusing imitation of "you know who." From there it only gets better! Who can stand still while listening to "Suavecito" and "No te Vuelvas Loco?" My only beef is with the title of one of the songs, listed in every recording I have as "El Enfermo." It was originally "El Enfermero" but somewhere in the RCA archives someone miswrote the title and renamed it, changing it from "The Nurse" to "The Patient." But it's just the name; the song remains as magical as it was when we danced to the ORIGINAL Orquesta Aragon. A wonderful recording everyone should own.

    Re-issued in 1992, this early BMG/Tropical Series CD includes one of the most powerful and best sounding compilations of original RCA 1956-57 Havana recordings by Orquesta Aragon. Classics like "Espiritu Burlon", "En La Capital", "Chaleco", "Noche de Farra", "Bon Bon Cha", "No Te Vuelvas Loco", etc. sound like never before on this CD. This CD also features what I choose to call "two surprise bonus tracks" of previously unreleased and until then presumed lost Aragon/RCA recordings, "La Cantina" and "Guacharumba", the latter featuring cuban guajira and sonero singer Joseito Fernandez, creator of the internationally famous "Guantanamera". I urge all collectors to purchase this great CD while supplies last!
