Better than ever...........2002-02-16

The lastest album from the super ratones is actually one the best productions in our country since the 80s were "super-groups" as Serú Girán or Spinetta Jade were on top of the charts.

Great arragements using a wide variety of instruments gives the record a mixtures of styles previously seen only in bands like Queen or The Beatles.

It is well known that the Super Ratones make great vocal arragements, and this record is not an exception.

The highlights (besides de over-played in radios 'como estamos hoy'), are 'el peso del mundo es amor', a multi-styled physcodelic song; 'yo sigo' a queen-a-like song with interesting guitar work, 'otro dia en la vida' which could have made it perfectly into a beatles album, and 'cosas perdidas' a bossa-nova with Jorge Maronna (musician from the Les Luthiers) on guitar.

For those who left their musical tastes back in the 60's/70's, Mancha Registrada is a great chance to rediscover the style mixed with the actual sound. Highly recommended for Beatles fans, as well as Queen, Pink Floyd and Brit Pop listeners.

This is a great CD! It is more original and more creative than most of the music being played on US radio stations today - in any language. My favorites on this CD are "Otro Dia en la Vida" and "Decime Que te Hicieron."

Better than ever! After waiting for two years, finally Super Ratones' new album is out. If you liked Autopistas Y Tuneles (their previous LP), you ought to have this record. It sounds great and has some really amazing tunes. "Mas Alla Del Sol" sounds like Pink Floyd (really trippy) and "Yo Sigo" sounds like an hybrid between Queen and The Who, really amazing. A really MUST for every britpop fan.
