5 out of 5 stars Amazing kid!!.......2006-05-09

Melody sings beautifully and she knows what she does. I wish she keeps singing, but as she grows, more mature themes. Listen to De pata negra cd and also Muevete which is really good and you can see the change in her voice. Also had you seen the resemblance to Emma Watson (Hermione from Harry Potter Movies). I strongly recommend at least the first two cd's.

1 out of 5 stars A Music Professional from Spain.......2005-08-02

Pretty young Dominican girl, it seems she won some contest so she decided to release a few albums "De Pata Negra", "T.Q.M." and "Muevete". It is unfortunate that she has neither the talent nor the voice to go very far. She certainly will never make it in Latino (or Spanish music), kind of funny because she tries to sing in Castellano in a few of her songs. Very few latino artists have succeeded in crossing over from Latino music to Spanish music and those who did succeed were already superstars like Shakira, Thalia, JLo and Ricardo Arjona. Perhaps she should try singing pop music in English where neither talent nor a voice is required, she could make it on her looks alone. Her sound tracks are quite good, if her band found another singer they could probably go far. I will give one star for her band.

5 out of 5 stars Wonderful! Unique distinctive voice.......2004-10-22

Truly enjoyed this CD, love the voice. She also sings a duet on Mario Frangoulis' new CD, "Follow Your Heart" which is also a great CD.

5 out of 5 stars Funny, and full of energy!.......2004-07-05

I bought this CD to help me learning Spanish, and it's been great! I love Melody's energy, and the songs have a really great sense of fun and humor. It is a refreshing change from the love-song-genre that's typical of more grown-up performers.

I thought the song about the calculator (La Calculadora) was fun, since I first heard it the day after we learned all the "math" words in class (add, multiply, etc). Singing along to the rapid-fire lyrics really helped both my diction and comprehension.

The lyrics for all the songs are included (in Spanish) in the CD cover, which helps for those of us learning. Melody's lyrics use colloquial Spanish, as it's really spoken (el profe for the teacher, etc.), which keeps it fresh and useful. It's one of my favorite CDs. I enjoy listening to it even when I'm not "practicing" spanish. It's bouncy and cheery.

5 out of 5 stars A Little Girl With BIG Talents.......2003-10-20

I love this CD. This is young Melody's debut. Melody is s girl from Spain, with big talents and a powerful singing voice. This album. This CD provides a mix of Latin, Pop, and salsa. Great for anyone learning to speak Spanish.

5 out of 5 stars New Flamenco? A Piece of Art.......2006-06-02

Please forget all that [...] about noveau flamenco.
This is the real new flamenco. The Amador brothers show you clearly their influences here. Miles, BB King, Camarón, and a long etc.
That beginning with Bodas de Sangre (a poem by Federico Garcia Lorca) in rumba rythm...that Lindo Gatito blues.... Simply excellent.

    5 out of 5 stars great stuff.......2002-02-12

whether or not you are a fan of flamenco music this is a great cd. The Amador brothers shine with tight guitar playing, and sparkling solos. Creative arrangements like their version of HOW HIGH THE MOON, and the blues riffs on the title track make this an all around good cd. Blues and jazz fans will enjoy this album as well because of its innovative take on classic blues and jazz styles.

5 out of 5 stars Blues de la frontera.......2000-01-24

Bone-shaking, soul-piercing flamenco-blues and flamenco-jazz. The musicians are phenomenally talented and innovative. This is a classic album that transcends genre.
