REALLY SHOWS HIMSLF HAS A SINGER GREAT C

Great first album, has great potential.......1998-05-02

A breakthrough from his old menudo days. Ruben has definetly grown as a person and an artist. His voice is soothing to the hear and relaxing to the soul. His album shows his musical potential, definetly shows his singing abilities. We can still see a bit of his rock-n-roll influences, with Nena Neurotica, but his love songs are heartbreakers. I expect to see a strong second album.

"Siempre Manana" is the best song of the underrated Latino star Ruben Gomez, and I really don't know why didn't it earn more success for him. The song is about a boy and a girl growing up together and falling in love. Ruben's voice is beautiful, and if you imagine him singing this song to you, you will just LOVE it :)
The single has both the English and the Spanish versions, plus a remix and a B-side track called "Septiembre". Unfortunately it doesn't have the video and I'm still searching for that.

A Time To Remember.......2000-10-30

The first time I heard Ruben Gomez sing was in the film called "A Time To Remember" which had its New England premier in my home town, Skowhegan, Maine. He was an instant hit with the young folks of the same age he was in the film and quite capable of belting out a song. In the film he wanted to grow up to sing like Mario Lanza. In the CD we are talking about he sings to a pulsating music which is enjoyable and interesting, however, not with the belt I expected. I wonder if he has recorded other music?
