Outstanding. BUY THIS ALBUM.......2007-05-13

I first learned of Zoe a couple of years ago when I happened to see of one their videos on Spanish MTV and was immediately blown away. Their music really doesn't feel "Latin" at all and is more reminiscent of bands like Radiohead, Nirvana, Pulp, and Interpol than well known Latin bands like Mana. In fact, I would say their music generally blows the aformentioned anglo bands out of the water.

This album is no exception and is probably Zoe's finest to date. It's not as poppy or Beatlesesque as some of their previous works (ie, like "Love"). Instead, it has a feel that is darker, more nuanced, and layered (more like their song "Miel," for those of you who've heard it). There are some outstanding songs on this album, Memo Rex, No Me Destruyas, Paz, and Via Lactea being some of my favorites. And in addition to having great songs, the album hangs together well - each song stands on its own while fitting in well with the album as a whole.

I have no idea how well known Zoe is in Latin America, but it's a shame they are not better known in the U.S. The fact that they're not so well known is probably just an indicator of how closed and U.S.-centric music tastes tend to be in the U.S.

At any rate, this album is fantastic and is highly recommended. To those looking for their more poppy side, I'd recommend their earlier albums though.

El mejor album de Zoe hasta la fecha.......2007-03-01

Despues de cuatro anos de escuchar a Zoe, este es definitivamente el mejor disco de la banda. De nuevo Leon nos presenta una estelar voz y el resto de la banda el arte de sus estrumentos.

Este album se ha convertido en uno de mis favoritos, y lo seleccione como el mejor album del ano 2006. Se lo recomiendo a cualquier persona amante de la musica rock en espanol. En realidad, este album ya es un clasico entre este genero.

yeah, Zoe make you wish your corazon was atomico. very anglo in style (it's often more interesting when artists from Latin America can insert some of their own musical tradtions into their musical style) but there is beautiful imagery in the lyrics and the songs get stuck in your head. i recommend it to anyone who might enjoy rock en espanol or brit pop, with a Mexican twist. i've had it on constant repeat for months.

Each song is a trip in space, in the heart and emotions.
Via Lactea, No Me Destruyas and Nunca are soon to be part of classic Spanish Rock.
Is a great produced album with greater sound of music.

Yo solo le doy cinco estrellas a albumes que te cambian la vida, que forman parte del "Soundtrack" de tus momentos, pero este definitivamente no es uno de esos, sin embargo es muy claro que Moenia ya forma parte y estandarte de la musica electro-pop en español. El disco está lleno de momentos hermosos, como los paisajes mentales que crean en mi los sonidos de canciones como Pasos, La Flama del Amor o Subete. Los cambios de humor se notan y ahora el sonido de moenia está mas cerca a lo que ellos presentan en vivo. Lo malo ha sido la seleccion de los sencillos a presentar, Lo que tu digas no fue buena punta de lanza y sufre conmigo es floja, ese privilegio lo debieron tener Subete y pasos. Es un disco para fanaticos de la buena musica sin complicaciones.

Erasure-esque Sounds!.......2004-02-14

This album sounded pretty familiar: It copies the sound from one of the best syth-pop bands which is Erasure. You can hear it on "En que Momento", which has elements that sound exactly like Erasure's "Run to The Sun." This album is overall good, except that the songs are less upbeat, and more like electro-ballads. Not really an essential album if you are an occassional listener. Get it if you are Moenia completist.

Este disco me parecio muy familiar, pues tiene sonidos que Erasure utiliza en sus exitos, como "Run To The Sun". Las canciones son menos bailables, y hay mas baladas en este disco. No es muy esencial en tu coleccion si eres no mas un escuchante ocasional. Compralo si quieres completar tu coleccion de discos de Moenia.

Great synth based music!.......2003-11-10

Moenia is one of the best synthesizer based bands around. I'm not only talking about the spanish language market, but any market. For example, this CD contains "En que Momento (At what point)" which to me is the "best" song of 2003. And I'm talking worldwide here! Sound wise its not fluffy synthesizers.
They use harder sounds and acoustic instrumenation and even guitars, when the moment calls for it. You will like them probably more than OBK or Fangoria or Depeche Mode or Red Flag.

They are above all great songwriters. This CD for example contains "No es Lo Mismo (Its not the same thing)" which apart from a gorgeous vocal melody, contains very interesting lyrics describing what goes on in many contemporary relationships.
In other words their lyrics are in touch with today. The arangements are very clever too.

Moenia's new album is great. Although I like Le Modulor, this album sounds better. The tracks now have guitars as instruments and they soung really good. En que momento? is excellet along with the other songs like Espirales, Tu sabes lo que quiero, and Traicion. That's not all, the cd includes 3 interactive tracks that can be played in a computer. This cd is defenitly worth buying and remember to support Moenia.

Almost everyone has been raving about this cd and with good reason. I think this is Moenia's best CD in the sense that all the track are absolutely solid. Every song is fun and beautiful, musically and lyrically. My personal favorites, 1. Estabas ahi, (great dance song) 2. Y nada que hacer (soft beautiful lyrics), 4. Contigo Estare (good lyrics), and 11. Estoy tan cansado (atmospherical and simple). I dance to these songs and they also help me sleep, which is an odd combination but the music uses light synth beats.

I guess they're techno, electro-pop and even if you don't speak Spanish, if you like 80's music and electro synthpop, maybe even Brit pop, you'd probably like these guys as well. Their newest CD, Stereohits is also amazing: covers of Latin 80's songs and Alfonso sports a faux-hawk, can't beat that. Rock on...pa pa we-o.

Techno-Pop: Who'd say they got it right?.......2005-02-10

Techno-pop. Does it ring a bell to you? Erasure? Pet Shop Boys? Back in 1997 when most Mexican music seemed to be stalled, these guys come out and break every standard set by the national music industry with one magnificent piece of an album. Morbo's soothing voice along with nicely planned 'beats and bytes' made this one album a must for every mexican music appreciator. I'd honestly say this is Moenia's ONE and ONLY album, not to imply that recent albums are bad, but this one has that special something that will keep you hooked for hours onto their tunes and still want to pop in this disc into your player countless times. Definitely, a must.

Moenia's talent is unique yet universal. Even if one didn't speak Spanish the message of the beat simply carries the enraptured listener into the outer stratosphere of musical adventure. The singer's voice oozes feeling and is utterly sexy. I've got every single disc and use these to drown out ugly sounds while I work. GREAT CD.......2002-09-27

The CD was great. I remember hearing MOENIA on a radio station in northern California and loving their music. I went out and bought one of their CD's. I didn't quite love it, and the song I had heard on the radio wasn't on this CD, but I enjoyed it anyway. Well, it turned out that the song I wanted is actually on this particular CD and I didn't just like Moenia, I loved Juan Carlos' voice and his music. Unfortunately, he isn't w/ Moenia anymore, but now I have the CD when he was with them. And fortunately he's not depriving us of his fantastic vocal cords. I strongly recommend this CD if you do like Moenia or their style of music. I'm positive you won't be disappointed. IN MY OPINION, this is Moenia's best CD. (No offense to Alfonso! He's good too!)

If You don't Have the Single Remixes..Get This One!!!.......2001-11-09

I bought this for my boyfriend, and I have to Agree with the other reviewer..Get it if you don't have the Cd-Maxi singles. This Cd has some of the mixes from the Cd singles. I know the Cd singles are very hard to find. My boyfriend has them all..including Moenia's 1st ever cd that was release in 1992.
I feel they should have add mixes for "Volcan" and "Lado Animal", which are hard to find but sound great. above all is a good cd to dance too.
I also recomend a band name "MORBO' which is the ex-vocalist
of Moenia.

Good Mixes for new and Old Moenia Fans.......2001-10-25

I discovered Moenia on April 2001 while in Mexico, and I did want to start exploring from their beginnings but "old" cds are not that easy to find overseas. I find this "new" CD with remixes of previously released songs just FANTASTIC! It combines new remixes of songs such as "No Dices Mas", "No puedo estar sin ti", and "Manto Estelar," which are part of "Adicion" and that I have not seen sold by themselves (I know, I know "Manto Estelar" could have been a more h-nrg mix). Also, it includes most of the songs released in "Moenia Remixes". It is a great CD for partying, to play loud in your car, to add to your current Moenia collection, and a good buy for new Moenia fans!

JUST LIKE MOENIA MIXES :(.......2001-09-27

This cd had a lot of the same mixes as Moenia Mixes and some that were on the songs cd singles. I was dissapointed with this cd, They should have release Mixes that were not on the cd singles. I do understand that most people couldn't get some of the cd singles. Just because of that reason, I feel it's a great buy for your collection.

Good music, evil copy protection.......2007-03-03

I like the music on this CD very much, but cannot play it on my laptop or any other computer. It contains MediaMax "copy protection" software from 2004, a program that's notorious for making computers vulnerable to security problems, and is just generally evil (a quick web search will tell you why). If you want to listen to these songs on a computer or any Ipod-type device, you're better off buying them from a site that sells music downloads-- don't buy the CD. I wish I hadn't.

Con mas respeto y clase que de costumbre........2006-12-04

Sin duda alguna, Moenia se ha convertido en el mayor y mejor exponente del synth pop en español y con esta produción queda mas que claro. Los clasicos de los 80 son revividos de una elegante manera, con todo el estilo y glamour del synth pop de Moenia,justo para crear la perfecta union entre los clasicos del rock y el movimiento contemporaneo. Los mejores momentos del disco son canciones como Juegos de Amor y la incomparable Sildavia, la cual suena aun mejor que su version original de La Union. 100% recomendable.

Ultimamente todo mundo a optado por hacer covers, pero honestamente no a todo mundo le han quedado tan bien como a,MOENIA en algunos casos casi sobrepasando las versiones originales, aunque suene un tanto extremista, pero es que moenia a retomado todas estas canciones y las han hecho practicamente suyas, como si estuvieran ahi esperando ser rescatadas de los 80's, claro sus versiones originales son bastante buenas no cabe ni la menor duda, temas como: TREN AL SUR, EN ALGUN LUGAR,BEBER DE TU SANGRE, NI TU NI NADIE, JUEGOS DE AMOR, son clasicos que nunca se olvidaran, MOENIA le dio a estas canciones, un sonido bastante particular de ellos y ademas hacer estas canciones mas accesibles a las nuevas generaciones, que no han escuchado estos temas, un disco bastante recomendable y de una gran calidad.

Los '80s de regreso pero en progreso.......2005-03-03

Canciones como "Tren al sur" de Los Prisioneros o "Ay, que pesado" de Mecano sonaron fuertemente durante los 80s en todas las discos de Hispanoamerica, y hoy forman parte del nuevo disco de Moenia. Este es un super discaso. Todas las canciones mantienen su esencia original pero con el estilo especial de Moenia. Moenia le hizo un muy buen tributo a todos esos grupos que se coronaron durante los 80s. No hay ningun tema mediocre. Todos tienen muy buena musica y arreglos. Escoger uno como mis favoritos es super dificil. Pero bueno aqui va:

1) Ni tu ni nadie 4/5
2) Sobredosis de T.V. 3/5
3) En algun lugar 5/5 (una de las mejores rolas de los ochentas y del disco)

uhhh, they're not industrial.......2005-11-13

first off i wanna say that i love Moenia (with exception of their first album). but for crying out loud, THEY ARE NOT INDUSTRIAL. Moenia is a synth-pop band. Plain and simple. Yes, industrial and synth-pop are both electronic, but they are as different as heaven and hell. i'm not a genre nazi or anything, but i just wanna clear things up.

This CD is just the "BEST OF MOENIA". It has the best hits from the Cd's "Moenia" and "Addicion". The Only thing missing are the singles
"VOLCAN" ( from the cd TRIBUTO A JOSE JOSE )and
"LADO ANIMAL" (from the movie soundtrack AMORES PERROS).
The Best thing about "EXITOS" are the MUSIC VIDEOS!!!!!!
Moenia Videos are rare on Tv (outside of Mexico). The video are:
No Puedo Estar Sin Ti, Dejame Entrar, Estabas Ahi, Manto Estelar,
No Dices Mas, and Regreso A Casa (a different version of the song). The videos are not the best in the world, but where else will you get all this videos in one Cd??? If you are A Moenia fan, this Cd has to go in your collection.

Para mi no hay mejor experiencia que escuchar mis canciones favoritas de Moenia una tras otra en un mismo disco. Eso es exactamente lo que pasa con el primer disco, empezando con "Tu Sabes lo que Quiero" seguida por "Manto Estelar" y luego "El Juego" y terminando con "En Algun Lugar" que ya me encantaba en su forma orignal. Aun no he tenido el privilegio de ver a Moenia en vivo pero, basado en este disco estoy seguro que sera algo maravilloso. Este disco es la mejor recopilacion de exitos de Moenia, mejor que Solo Para Fanaticos o Exitos, asi es que si quieren tener una buena probadita de lo que es Moenia compren este disco y no se arrepentiran. En esta coleccion se encuentran los mejores clasicos de Moenia como "Molde Perfecto" "Terminales" "Tranquilidad" y "Estabas Alli" Lo unico malo es que no pusieron "Traicion" que es mi cancion favorita de Televisor, "Espirales" o "Regreso a Casa"
