A very good collection of cumbias!.......2000-12-02

What do you get when you mix in a song from Pastor Lopez, a classic hit from La Sonora Dinamita, and a few cumbias from todays well known groups? Answer: A COMPLETE album, El Reventon De La Cumbia. For many people who have never heard of yesterdays hit makers like Sonora Dinamita or Pastor Lopez, but know of todays hottest acts like Los Askis and Grupo Saya then they are in for a treat. There are many cumbia collections that may have some well known artists in them but the groups in this album are by far the most impressive I have seen. Although the songs for each artist is not thier greatest work, the quality is still very good. When you listen to the first track with Los Askis you will be hooked and will want to hear the whole album over and over. The only reason I gaved this album 4 out of 5 stars is because the amount of music it has is far less then an hour. Also if they had the best songs from all the acts listed on this album, then this would be one of the greatest collection of cumbias ever.It just falls a little short from that goal in my opinion. But do not hesitate, get it today. (HOY)
