Album Description

RC2, a young Venezuelian band, was born from the ashes of RADIOCLIP (Which released four albums between 1988 and 1994). The five musicians are all experienced, inspired and talented. Influenced by MARILLION, YES and RUSH, they deliver a powerful symphonic rock with various aspects. The high range vocals (In Spanish) are beautiful, and the guitars are fast and heavy, and the keyboards parts are very rich. You can think of DREAM THEATER or SHADOW GALLERY, but RC2 also creates atmospheres of their own, very peculiar, sometimes with a touch of electronics. Symphonic rock at its best !

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Great band and album.......2004-05-12

This a truly a great band and CD, you have to be open minded if you do not speak spanish. What I like the most about this band is that they enjoy re-visiting their own themes in different songs. They challenge themselves to re-orchestrate passages and I really take that in consideration. Once you listen to it a few times you can actually make connections in the songs and you keep having this strange sensation of deja-vu.
Very melodic, very sensitive, very Enchant if you must compare them to another prog Band.

If you are into prog and really like melodic stuff this is a good choice. You'll fall in love with the album

5 out of 5 stars Amazing band, amazing record.......2003-08-27

If you like a fresh progrock band and a beautiful progrock album, you have to buy this.

The Music of RC2 is on the road between Marillion, Rush and even Dream Theater. An amazing work on the keyboards, the lyrics are beautiful (in spanish) and the album is beautiful too.

If you like progrock, you like RC2.

5 out of 5 stars Powerfull Record.......2003-08-27

I know this guys. RC2 is an amazing venezuelan progressive band with a lot of energy and good music. You can hear some of Rush, Marillion or even Dream Theater, but when you finish to hear the album that you're in front of RC2.

5 out of 5 stars Addictive and mesmerizing.......2003-08-22

For those of us who have 'excellence' as the main factor for the music we listen to, RC2 proves to be a heavyweight. Similar in many ways to Shadow Gallery and Dream Theater (yet not as obtusely intense), this group in reality forges a path of their own. They are highly innovative in many ways (such as including traditional Venezuelan musical instruments in some of their pieces) yet still rest their base solidly on time-proven techniques and rhythms. Looking for something fresh which you are almost guaranteed to like?... buy this CD. I HIGHLY recommend it.
