I AM NOW A BELIEVER!.......2003-09-24

I saw Mike play in Van Nuys a couple of nights ago
at Charlie O's and oh my God it was incredible! He was
playing with keyboardist Karen Hernandez and drummer
Gerryck King. Apparently Mike and Gerryck traveled the
world together backing up organ players Jimmy Smith and
Jack McDuff. Mike was absolutlely hands down the best
guitar player I have ever heard in my life.
And I don't mean from just a plain technique point of view.
I'm talking about pure musical artistry. Mike Pachelli

is a true artist on the guitar. I was completely
flabbergasted! So now I am a believer. I've heard about
his legacy for years. Now I've seen the maestro and I'll
be buying everything with his name on it.

Eric Johnson's Favorite Guitarist.......2003-03-15

I saw this guy open for Eric Johnson in Texas and Eric introduced him as, "my favorite guitarist!" Mike was great. Eric watched the entire set and was smiling from ear to ear as Mike played. I got my picture taken with both of them and it hangs on my wall and is a prize possesion.

I bought Tube Driven because a friend of mine here in California turned me on to another Mike Pachelli cd called In The Now. We are blown away by this cat. He is as good OR BETTER than anybody who has ever played guitar. I did a web search on him and his address is tied to some guy named Tom Downs who appears to be extremely [mediocre] and doesn't seem to have any connection with Mike as far as I can tell but probably was just smart enought to scam Mike's name to link to his.

Anyway, back to Tube Driven. My God it's unbelievable. I've been playing guitar for a long time actually 34 years. Heard just about everybody live like Eric Johnson, Vai, Satriani, Holdsworth, Beck, Gambali, Santanna, Clapton, and many many more yet I still will say until the day I die that Mike Pachelli kicks all of their ...! He has such a diversity of chops and improvisational know-how and just plain soul! He never seems to run out of ideas. He doesn't play any licks. It just seems to be pure inspiration! Not to mention his blistering and mind blowing speed and hyper advanced chordal approach. And if all that isn't enough he's also an absolutely fabulous singer! I''m telling you BUY THIS CD! And if you are a guitar oriented record label - find Mike and record him. He'll go down as one of (if not THE) greatest guitarists to have ever lived. Please let's not have him be as infamous as Lenny Breau or Michael Hedges. Mike Pachelli could absolutely amaze ANY audience in a concert situation! Spread this guys name around!

Truly great guitar music here like Satriani and more. A must own for any serious student of the guitar. I have taken so many licks off Tube Driven. You won't believe the solo in Alley cat Toys. It's nuts. Like Allan Holdsworth in a corvette going 180 mph thru the Egyptian desert. Nice song tribute to McCartney. Great vocals. Great cd. 10 stars.
