About the Artist
The Telegraph Roadsign is basically a pseudonym for an artist by the name of Eddie Starr. Whenever Eddie brings together musicians to perform his songs, whether it be in the studio or on stage, it becomes "The Telegraph Roadsign".

Product Description
Beautiful Beige by The Telegraph Roadsign is a dreamy little collection of songs with a trippy sound reminiscent of what they once called "The Summer of Love" circa 1967. It sounds kind of like The Beatles and even The Monkees but with a heavier rhythm trac and a more modern technical feel which would today be categorized as "retro pop". Simply put, Beautiful Beige is what you would call "New Millennium Psychedelia"

5 out of 5 stars Still a STARR!.......2005-05-15

Eddie is now feeling total weightlessness, but he lives on here through his tunes and interpretations.
This is so much fun that it's hard to place into words for the reader. Eddie's pop style, ability to play so many instruments,
and art of arranging layers gives this CD such life.
Beatles, Cowsills, Monkees...you get a touch of the feelings that these groups invoked but with an Eddie Starr spin.
Eddie, we miss you still but say "hi" to John & George for us
in rock n' roll heaven.

5 out of 5 stars Beatles All the Way! Music of The New Millenium is Right!.......2003-02-12

WOW! great, Great, GREAT Sound! If I didn't know better, I'd think it was the lost CD of the Beatles! Uplifting, happy sound to lift our spirits in these troubled times! Heard the VANESSA VARGO song on our local radio program when the REAL Vanessa Vargo was a guest, went to the web site and listened to the free mp3, more clips and just had to have me one of my own! I'll definately be watching for more great things in the future from this very talented Artist! yeah! Yeah! YEAH!

4 out of 5 stars Still A Star.......2001-09-10

After reading about Eddie still in music I grew curious about his sound after 25 years. Yes, over 25 years ago, I played with both Eddie and Diane in High School. Both sound as awesome and wholesome today as I remember them to be in high school. 2 thumbs up chums. Good hearing you once again.

5 out of 5 stars Fantastic.......2001-08-16

I was fortunate enough to hear the title cut while Eddie was working it up for the studio. It's nice to hear something these days that doesn't have that slick overproduced sound too. The lyrics on this album come from experiences and from the heart of a really good man. The harmonies are awesome as usual. A definite must for your collection.

5 out of 5 stars Telegraph Roadsign: daringly positive power pop.......2000-11-15

Those who know Telegraph Roadsign's Eddie Starr as "Labor's Troubador," the angry young man of union activism and the progressive protest movement, may find "Beautiful Beige" to be a real departure from his other works like "War Zone: Union Jax." But the truth is that Starr's music has always been about getting a better handle on the human condition and how we are to coexist on this planet. "Beautiful Beige" is therefore an expansion of Starr's world view more than a change. Embracing the pop traditions of his '60s youth, Starr creates music which dares to be upbeat and optimistic in the face of a world gone mad, proof positive that Starr is as much a radical today as he ever was. Leave it to Starr to find the metaphor for our times in an obscure '60s tome on racism from the '60s first family of pop, the Cowsills.
