Stemming out of Ohio University in Athens, OH, Longfellow has confidently unveiled itself to the music industry, and music lovers of all kinds, with the independent release of its debut album, entitled "jangling tea trolley."

With Longfellow’s grassroots effort now coming to fruition, the group is quickly making its way into the regional Midwest circuit, where various listeners have made comparisons to Jack Johnson, Ben Folds, Sting, and Dave Matthews Band.

Longfellow took on its infantile beginnings in the summer of 2001. Having taken time off to explore his songwriting interest, Nick Long began playing with some acquaintances of his in the School of Music at Ohio University. Over time, the right people came along and Longfellow was born.

While the buzz builds through word of mouth, press coverage, and increased radio play, Longfellow continues to grow, sharing its love of music with a diverse community of fans.

Totally awesome!.......2005-03-02

I have to say that this is one of the best groups around. Hearing them in person is the best, but now having the cd it keeps me satisfied until the next time I get to hear them live. The lyrics are fun and have obviously had time and emotion put into them as well as the melodies and rhythms. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting something good to listen to. Not only do these guys have musical talent, they are fun to be around and totally cool.
