Editorial Reviews
For Seeking Homer, 1999 was a momentous year in the fact that they played just about every bar, club, college campus or fraternity house from Maine to the Carolinas and though Americas Heartland sharing the stage with such national acts as: The Samples, Guster, Moxy Fruvous, Jupiter Coyote, Cowboy Mouth, Everything, Acoustic Junction and Agents of Good Roots. The four man, acoustic-driven rock group has also had the good fortune to play many of the hottest clubs throughout the East Coast and Midwest. Currently they are favorites in venues like The Wetlands and Irving Plaza in New York City, the 9:30 Club in Washington DC, and Schubas in Chicago. In 1999, Seeking Homer played over 150 concerts in 24 states logging over 45,000 miles.
With the help of performing high-profile live concerts such as the 1999 Womens World Cup, 1998 ACC Soccer Championships and even the 1997 American League Division Series at Yankee Stadium, the band has steadily entered the consciousness of clubs, radio stations, the music press and most importantly, the listening public. Early in 1999, Seeking Homer joined the Colorado-based band, The Samples for two national tours. Overnight, Seeking Homer went from playing for a few hundred to a few thousand, and expanded their mailing list to 5000+.
The band released their first album Streets, in 1996 while attending Fordham University in New York City. In 1998, A Good Hard Smack, their sophomore full-length CD, was released and to date has sold over 8000 copies. Together, the albums have sold over 13,000 copies worldwide a major feat for any unsigned, self-produced, self-booked, self-managed, indie act. How did they do it? Non-stop touring, endless promoting, online distributing coupled with the bands ever-expanding mailing list and fan base. This strategy is certain to keep the future bright for Seeking Homer, one of the countrys hottest independent acts.

Product Description
It seems only fitting that one of the best live independent acts in the country should release a live CD right? Fresh off the heels of a 6 week tour of the East Coast, the boys return home for an intimate concert at the historic Wetlands in New York City. The album is doused with live gems such as "The Star Spangled Banner", "Mountaintop" and the crowd favorite, Men At Work's hit, "Down Under". The songs, "Greyhound" and "Downtown" are also performed which are previously unreleased. This Cd is a must for any Seeking Homer fan.

The Star Spangled Banner song, as showcased on the 2000 PGA on NBC, is the best song on this 2 disc set, and well worth the purchase.
I can't wait for Seeking Homer to return live to CHICAGO!
