The picture.......2006-12-11

I haven't purchased the CD but the picture of the inside of a church on the cover is not of a British church, like one would assume since it says its a recording of British choirs. This picture is of Notre Dame Basilica in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Just thought i'd let you know. I'll be honest; I'm one to judge things by it's cover and if the company took such care to choose a 'British' church for their British choir CD, I'm willing to bet the music is equally well selected... I'm being sarcastic. But I gave the product 5 stars because I didn't want to hurt its ratings just because i'm cynical. But check out the church if you're ever in Montreal, it's truly beautiful... here I'm not being sarcastic.

The Lord has truly put a calling on this young mans life. His time will come for at the appointed time, his voice will be heard all over the world. Strong, powerful and beautiful all rolled into one package. God has a plan. Truly uplifting spiritual CD. Can't wait for his new release the Bruce recorded in Philadelphia in 2002. Great Gospel CD mixing traditional and modern moods.......1999-08-20

Bruce Parham reminds me a bit Rance Allen. He has a big voice with amazing range.He sings from the heart. Program is varied with a mix of up tempo and slow songs. The whole CD is unbelievable and the choir and the backing musicians are first rate.

I really enjoyed this CD. You can feel the annointing of the holy spirit through his songs. My favorite song on this album is "That's when you changed me." Everytime I here that song I feel like shouting. I also like the songs "We will give you praise, and "Hallelujah is the highest praise." These two songs are very good praise and worship songs. Bruce has something on this CD for everyone. There is one particular song that takes you back to the old time way and that is "Show some sign." That song will have you tapping your feet for days. I truly enjoy listening to this CD, and I recommend it to anyone. Bruce can not only sing, but he can preach the word of God. God has truly annointed this man!!!!!!

This boxed set is by far one of the best purchases I have ever made. As a Purcell freak, this hits every button I have. The cast of characters include the inequitable Robert King, New College Choir, Bowman, and a host of other venerable persons. Likewise the attention to period performance of these works makes it an essential addition to the library of any serious anglophile/Musicologist etc. Now if only the Britten Realizations of all Purcell's songs could be recorded alongside the originals! You will Love this set!
