In the process of developing this music, The Uptown Maestros were faced with a unique challenge. There was no recipe to follow. So The Uptown Maestros began extensive research and found that there were several variations in the Pilates method. Some schools presentation of the method is slower with more of a Yoga like feel, while others were energetic and dynamic. One thing was consistent within most of the leading schools, and that was that the Pilates method was more exciting and effective when performed with a rhythm.

Incredeble! Being a senior Pilates instuctor out of Fl. this is in fact what I have been looking for. Going from club to club, teaching Pilates with sometimes no music, and at other times with what would have been better had there been no music; this is by far the best arrangement and sound for any type of activity; exercising in particular. There seems to be a certain energy or boost of inspiration aquired from the Pilates Music for Life series, in general. Now that I've got it, I wouldn't trade it for the world. Definately a must for true music lovers.

Best easy Jazz listening ever. Not only is it good for Pilates workouts, but easy listening at home,in the car or at the office.
I'd recommend this CD to anyone who likes Jazz and I can't wait to receive the entire "Pilates Music for Life Series".

I work at a popular Spa in Vagas and we play this CD and the other CD's from the Uptown Maestros at our centers. We offer Pilates as well as massage, etc. We also carry the CD's at our centers and can not keep then on the shelves. The Maestros CD's are a huge hit for us. Very hip commercial music. I have heard songs from the jazz album on the radio. Great stuff!

I don't do Pilates but found The Uptown Maestros Series perfect for just decompressing at the end of the day because of the mixture of soothing and lively tunes. I listen to these CD's in the home as well as while driving.

I especially love Track #2 on the Pour Mon Amour CD. It's upbeat, happy and has a great mixture of different instruments and a great Middle Eastern vibe. Also Track #9 has a sexy vibe, a real surprise delight.

Overall these songs are well composed and produced. Very Professional.

There is a driving beat on all the songs on this albulm, not too fast and not too slow, just right for my Pilates workout tempo. I get the right vibe for my day with this CD. It has a clever mixure of current sounds and incorporates classical instruments such as the violin. Very classy.

I loved the first song. Then the whole feel of the music changed and became very synthsizer-esque with a tinny, 70's sound. I wanted to use this cd to teach my pilates class but I am so glad I listened to it before-hand, it would have been terrible. It sounded like porn music.

This CD is a wonderful companion to any workout. I am a Pilates student at a studio and also workout at home and find this and the other CDs in the series to be helpful in motivating me throughout my workout without ever distracting me. I bought the series to accompany my many different musical moods, however, if someone has a particular taste in music any one of the CDs will do! The musicians sound great, unlike some workout music that sounds hokey or second rate.

Very cool music. It gives me energy. Most CD's for workout such as Pilates or Yoga is always too sleepy or depressing. I was a little worried that this CD was going to be a downer, but was happy to find it to be the opposite. All the songs on this album is uplifting. A mind and body experience. I have 3 of the 4 CD's from the series and enjoy them all.

I have all four of Pilates Music For Life series. My favorite is Ambiance and Pop classics. However, most of the CDs sound like elevator music and they are not long enough for one hour session of Pilates class.

This (sexy music) CD, just like the others, is perfect for Pilates and in my opinion Grammy worthy. Seriously motivating,fun, and inspiring. I expecially love the guitar solo in the titled song "Follow The Sun." I find myself hitting the rewind button mostly to hear this track over and over, but I truly enjoy the entire album. I have all four CD's and use them for Pilates and many other things including at night while having a glass of wine with my husband, but I also find them enjoyable just to listen to in general. I hope to hear much more music from The Uptown Maestros in the future.
