The picture.......2006-12-11

I haven't purchased the CD but the picture of the inside of a church on the cover is not of a British church, like one would assume since it says its a recording of British choirs. This picture is of Notre Dame Basilica in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Just thought i'd let you know. I'll be honest; I'm one to judge things by it's cover and if the company took such care to choose a 'British' church for their British choir CD, I'm willing to bet the music is equally well selected... I'm being sarcastic. But I gave the product 5 stars because I didn't want to hurt its ratings just because i'm cynical. But check out the church if you're ever in Montreal, it's truly beautiful... here I'm not being sarcastic.

hymns we sang in church.......2003-02-16

i grew up in a traditional presbyterian church that had a pipe organ. i wanted a cd of many of the hymns that we sang in church sung by a choir and accompanied by a pipe organ. this cd fulfilled my wishes perfectly. the hymns are performed in a very straight-forward fashion with no show-boating or excess flourishes which is exactly what i wanted. this is not gospel music but what i refer to as liturgical music to indicate that it is religious music but not gospel music. i would give it 5 stars but there is a slight hiss. other than that the recording quality is very good.

what a great cd! i like osmand's voice the best. Though, i like keli rebke's voice better than janet metz. Still, it's a great cd. And i have a qestion. Does any one has pictures of this show?

Donny Osmondan as Joseph.......2006-01-20

fun Musical- great costuming- I should know I did this musical in Children's Theatre when I was in the sixth grade-Believe me Donny Osmondan has great vocal range- he's excellent as joseph, However when we did it (with my now elederly mother as the stage manger!!) the guy who played Jospeh Adam ( sixteen at the time) well, let's just say at the point I had a huge embrassing cursh on him that I still to this day never told anyone about (except my mom on one ocssain) what A hunk!!

This recording is wonderful! The musical's score is beautiful and is also performed beautifully on this recording! A must have for any Webber, Rice, Osmond, or Joseph fan.

Any Dream Will Do!.......2000-01-16

I saw this show 3 times with Donny and recently saw it twice with a different "Joseph"--there is no comparison. Donny brings feeling to the songs that no one else could. Duets with the narrator gave me the chills. His voice is as clear in person as it is on the CD.

My 6 year old and I sing all the songs and my 1 year old dances along. Listen to the words--it's very funny. If you are a dreamer and want a fun, magical musical that everyone can enjoy--this is the CD for you.

Great Music.......1999-10-01

This version of the soundtrack is great. I have heard other versions, and none of them hold up to this one. Donny Osmond brings a certain something to the show, and "Close Every Door" shows off his range. I think anyone would enjoy this cd.

Pack Up The Troubles.......2003-09-04

Sometimes, when I hear Whitney Houston's voice, I just melt away all my troubles and just relax. Her music has been very upbeat and dynamic. There are sometimes cases where I can hear a song from her and just dance when I'm all alone. That certainly is the case within this song. One Of Those Days has a laid back R&B vibe that truly should speak out, no matter what the troubles say. The song also samples big, sampling The Isley Brothers classic, Between The Sheets. When the song case out, I thought a lot of people could've used that song, because of the trauma the world was facing, and I still think it is worth hearing. People don't give Whitney that kind of credit that much these days. Sadly, from the heartbreak she had faced these past few years. Still, I strongly suggest you get this single. If not, go get Just Whitney. Trust me, you won't be sorry.

Fine, Whitney is a legend... But 'Just Whitney' is nothing more than OK. The lyrics and melodies are ok, but what most matters_THE VOICE_ is not quite there. I think fans must get a sense of reality and admit this album is not a big deal. I must say though I like it and the songs are very easy listenning. I like 'One of those days','My love','Unshamed'. But fans, I know you love Whitney as much as I do, but please stop saying this album is great and that Whitney couldn't do it better. She sure can do better than that and I'm sure she will.

I love One of Those Days. It's such a pretty song, and so relaxed...I think Whitney's my new favourite artist :-) I'm gonna buy all her albums, she rocks!

This album is increditable. Whitney delivers her power voice through the amazing songs in this album. I strongly suggest those people who are or aren't her fans to buy this "Album of the Year". This time, Whitney will prove that she can still reach the note and touch people with her voice. The real Whitney returns with her best to present 10 songs in "Just Whitney" album. This is "Must Buy" no doubt!! If you like "I will always love you", then you'll like "On My Own", "Unashamed", and "You Light Up My Life". If you are addicted to the magic music created by Santana, you must listen to "Tell Me No". If you like the 80's "How will I know", then "Love That Man" is a great choice. If you like Missy Elliott's work, then "Things You Say" can satisfy you. If you like to relax and just have a cup of coffee, then "One of Those Days" is what you need. If you are curious about the relationship between Whitney and Bobby, then "My love" will prove that their love is stronger than what you think. Although the media does not give positive reaction to "Whatchulookinat", I think this song describes that even a superstar like Whitney needs her private life.

Working in a christian book store I hear a lot of cds that just aren't good. This IS NOT one of them. I was very impressed with these guys. Best way to describe them would be modern rock with a pop feel. very well thought out guitar tones with an added fuzziness. Recommended for fans of FONO, Mathew Sweet, ect. GOOD CD!
