Dan Savant and Mike Watts are friends that have worked together for many years. They have played and recorded music for TV shows like "Touched By An Angel"; "America's Funniest Home Videos" and "The Country Music Awards". After working on films like "Honey I Shrunk The Kids", they have recorded musical shows for every Disney theme park world wide along with Disney Cruise Lines, Disney's New Animal Kingdom, and Tokyo Disney Seas. Their longtime friend Steve Hall (Executive Producer) asked them to put their "magic touch" on some popular music that was meaningful to them, and the results are "Romantic Inspirations" and "Through The Years". Enjoy!

Product Description
As we enter a new Millennium, we want to thank all of our friends around the world for making our first recording "Romantic Inspirations" such a success. We started working on our next release and came upon our first dilemma: With all the great music to choose from, which songs would we record? After sitting down and listing some of our favorites, we ended up with a group of "No.1 Hits" that spanned almost 50 years! This started us on a musical journey that ranged from the 1940's through the 1980's. We feel so blessed to be able to record with our friends, who also happen to be some of the best professional musicians in the world. Our hope is that you have as much fun listening as we had recording. As each song brought back memories of times gone by, they helped us look forward to the new and exciting times that await us in this new millennium. We hope, as you listen to this collection, that you might sit back, relax and "Try To Remember" ...as we take you back ..."Through The Years".

The most striking thing about this two-disc overview of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers is the powerful case it makes for its creators as the most consistent band of not only their era, but of all time. Think of another rocker who can claim to have created a quarter-century of recordings that, when ranked on a 10-point scale, never dip below a solid 7? Indeed, while disc 1 reflects a marginally more aggressive mindset than disc 2, it wouldn't be difficult to imagine the discs flip-flopped; maturity has yet to induce lethargy for Petty and the boys. Occupying the solid middle ground between the 18-track Greatest Hits and the six-disc Playback box, Anthology serves up 34 selections, nearly every one an FM staple. From 1976's "Breakdown" through the collection's only new offering, 2000's "Surrender," this retrospective never flags. But how could it? --Steven StolderCustomer Reviews:
Great all round listening.......2007-08-01
Great for "Casual Fans".......2007-06-30
Subsequently, over the years, I have purchased every one of Tom's and the Boy's cd's. I still consider myself just a casual fan. I simply like the hits off each cd, with a few extras thrown in by personal taste. Anyway, the majority of these discs are from the early '90's. Not the best sound quality. And, it takes some time and effort to load each disc in my itunes and pick just the songs that I want. The solution?
Buy this 2-disc Anthology. It's a great price. It's sounds good. And all your favorite Petty tunes are right there, conveniently in one place, uh...or two. I dropped them into my iPod, and haven't looked back since.
Now all I have to do is get The Last DJ and The Highway Companion, and I'm done.

Outstanding Petty anthology covering the MCA years.......2007-02-27
THE DISCS: (2000) 34 tracks on two discs clocking in at approximately 124 minutes (disc-1 with 57:37 minutes, and disc-2 with 66:16). Included with the discs is a 10-page booklet containing song titles/credits, band photos, a 1-page intro from Cameron Crowe, what songs came from which albums and the year released. This compilation follows Petty from his debut in 1976 through this 2000 "Anthology". Digitally remastered sound. Label - UTV Records / MCA.
ALBUM REPRESENTATION: Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers (4 songs), You're Gonna Get It (3), Damn The Torpedoes (4), Hard Promises (2), Long After Dark (3), Southern Accents (3), Pack Up The Plantation (1), Let Me Up - I've Had Enough (2), Full Moon Fever (5), Into The Great Wide Open (3), Greatest Hits (1), Playback (1), Anthology (1), Bella Donna - Stevie Nicks 1981 solo album (1).
COMMENTS: Every music listener needs some Tom Petty in his/her collection. "Damn The Torpedoes" (1979) and "Full Moon Fever" (1989) are essential studio recordings of his. Other albums like his self titled debut, "Long After Dark", "Southern Accents" and "Into The Great Wide Open" are great albums, but I wouldn't classify them as essential Petty necessarily. Petty's "Greatest Hits" (1993) is still a fine representation on one disc, but with this more recent 2-disc "Anthology", the '93 disc is now obsolete. 17 of the 18 songs from his "Greatest Hits" album are here, minus the skippable last track "Something In The Air". THE GOOD: All the staples are here - "Breakdown", "American Girl", "I Need To Know", "Refugee", "Here Comes My Girl", "Don't Do Me Like That", "Even The Losers", "You Got Lucky", "Don't Come Around Here No More", "Free Fallin'", "I Won't Back Down", "Runnin' Down A Dream", "Learning To Fly", "Mary Jane's Last Dance", etc. The minor successes absent from his '93 "Greatest Hits" are here - "Change Of Heart", "A Woman In Love (It's Not Me)", "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around", "So You Want To Be A Rock & Roll Star", "Jammin' Me", "Love Is A Long Road", and "Yer So Bad". There are several deep album cuts (i.e. "Hometown Blues", "The Wild One, Forever", "Too Much Ain't Enough", etc) that are nice inclusions. Chronological order is a bonus here - showcasing Petty's slight changes over the decades. Song selection is top notch. The remastered sound is crisp. THE NOT SO GOOD: Only two things stick out here. First and foremost, there are no tracks from his "Wildflowers" (1994) or "Echos" (1999) albums... most likely due to these 2 albums being on the 'Warner Bros' label (and everything prior on MCA's label). This is a shame because I really feel the songs "You Wreck Me", "Cabin Down Below" and "It's Good To Be King" deserve to be on "Anthology". Perhaps this should've been titled "Anthology - Through The MCA Years". In the same vein, there are no selections from Petty's soundtrack to the movie "She's The One" (1996). Many of Petty's early songs are short (out of the first 8 tracks, the longest song is three-and-a-half minutes), and with that being said why not throw a few more songs on both discs and utilize the free space (22 unused minutes alone on disc-1). OVERALL: A ton of music and all the major hits (despite the 2 omitted albums from Warner Bros). To date, this is the best Tom Petty compilation... period (5 stars).

Jump (or be forced) directly into the three-plus hour DVD on this a/v split release for footage of Josh Homme and band on the stage in London during the hottest months of 2005. There are plenty of behind-the-scenes shots of the ever revolving group. Foo Fighter Dave Grohl pops up. ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons pulls a cameo. It's all here. Key performances include "No One Knows," "Little Sister," "Burn The Witch," plus smoking versions of "Fun Machine" and "I Wanna Make It Wit Chu" (from Desert Sessions Vol. 9 & 10). The audio-only disc provides listeners with 75 minutes of pure QotSA including a powerhouse reading of "I Think I Lost My Headache" and an appropriately ragged "Long Slow Goodbye." This often strange picture is a fine fitting snapshot. --Jedd BeaudoinAlbum Description
You can think of this feature-length concert DVD/live album, which features all the crucial Queens hits from their studio albums, as a "to go" version of their decibel-happy shows, but that really won't be doing the three and a half hours of live, rare, and acoustic performances and behind-the-scenes footage of the band and their pals like Dave Grohl, Mark Lanegan, Billy Gibbons, and former Queens bassist Nick Olivieri making fools of themselves, justice. It might help to think of Over the Years as a 21st-century version of Led Zeppelin's The Song Remains the Same for the volume of its material, or even A Hard Day's Night for its willingness to show the Queens having a laugh, but they'd rather you see and hear it for what it really is--the definitive encapsulation of the band and their music from their not-so-humble beginnings to their current status as one of the rock's biggest and most dynamic acts. Included in the concert footage from the band's sold-out Brixton Academy and Koko shows in London last summer are live favorites from Rated R and Songs for the Deaf such as "No One Knows," "Feel Good Hit of the Summer," and "Go with the Flow," as well as new Queens classics from their latest album Lullabies to Paralyze like the smash single "Little Sister" and their most recent bombshell, "Burn the Witch." In addition to the three-plus hours of live and uncut Queens mayhem, Over the Years also boasts 75 minutes of audio bliss that covers all the bases Queens fans need to get the rush of their favorite songs performed live and loud shot directly into their homes. Also included are the brand-new track "Fun Machine" as well as "Make It Wit Chu," a previously unreleased gem from singer Josh Homme's fabled Desert Sessions, an ongoing series of collaborative songwriting and recording sessions where marquee musicians such as PJ Harvey and Deen Ween are invited down to his studio Rancho De La Luna in Joshua Tree, California, to join him in collectively exploring new musical terrain.Customer Reviews:

A Falling Experience!.......2006-01-28
When I finally decided to purchase this DVD I was a little worried. ( I owned songs for the deaf, and downloaded every single, and a whole bunch of random songs.) I didnt know if an entire DVD would entertain me. I saw them recently on tour, And they are Incredible. The live accuracy of the (ever-evolving) band was perfect. You hear almost EXACTLY what they have on their studio recordings.
Luckily, their album sounds, and live show COLLIDES into this wonderful set of discs.
During the first batch of songs("Flow" through "little sister") I felt like all I did was spend $15 bucks. But at some point I finally realised I was completely engrossed. A Perfect balance of familiarity and Improv. And of course, the DVD goes on for TONS of songs after that!. I Wish I could come up with a fault of this recording. But there isn't any. Great Sound, Good Song selection, Awesome Visual/Angle Imagery.
It also has alot of Hilarous crowd interaction and Clips
If your just skimming this review, This is a Great DVD/CD set. The Sound Quality is listenable, not like cheap LIVE recordings. PERFECT for putting on in the background. And ABSOLUTELY AMAZING to sit down and watch with the lights dimmed, maybe a couple drinks. = )
one of better music dvd's i own.......2006-01-14
the only reason why i only gave this 4 stars is because it was basically only one show with only one line up. i really would have liked to get better recordings (and better camera angles) of their older shows. oh well.
hopefully a kyuss dvd will eventually make it's way to shelves.

Those sounds...a mirror for me.......2007-07-11
Thank you for sharing these wonderful arrangements. Cave of the Siddhars. Your music is instantly translated into soul messages. Musical soul massage. I don't know if it was my conscious mind or my unconscious mind but one of them surrendered to the music thanks to the constant didgeridoo in the background. My mind remembered a timeless aspect of itself. Turiya Nada's music that for the first few seconds had sounded extremely exotic fit into the mold of my being, as a result when I combined the music with asana practice I was able to deepen in the poses knowing that I was being "cushioned" by the call of Turiya Nada. The final "Arohara" invocations of the final tracks are perfect for the ending of savasana for me...and I believe for others too.
Thanks,
Nathaniel

It seems pretty clear that Ronan Tynan has no intention of resting on his laurels. Despite a stunning string of world-dominating, top-selling releases as a member of the much-loved Irish Tenors--not to mention his accomplishments as a champion athlete, an M.D., and a memoirist (see his recently published Halfway Home: My Life 'til Now)--the singer has now released his debut solo effort on Sony Classical. No matter which member of the Irish Tenors happens to be your favorite, My Life Belongs to You is a treat, affording as it does a chance to bask in the deeply expressive, mellifluous voice of Tynan. He has chosen his selections well and is equally poised and tender in classics from Mario Lanza ("Because You're Mine," "I'll Walk with God"), Broadway, and sacred music. What's especially wonderful is the opportunity to hear Tynan's emotionally gripping vocalism from so many angles. The mixing by Frank McNamara gives a lovely old-time feeling to the orchestral playing--a bit like a treasured old sepia photograph. A bonus track of Irving Berlin's "God Bless America" is included. --Sarah ChinCustomer Reviews:

Wonderful Introduction to Nelson.......2004-01-31
Nelson's version of "Sweet Mystery of Life", with a violin and chorus and a harp or two in the background, is very lovely. A few of my other favourites are "Trees", "When I Grow Too Old to Dream", "Oh, What a Beautiful Morning", and "Wanting You", although really they are all wonderful. Most of them are slower songs, very restful, although "Ride, Cossack, Ride", "Tokay", and "Stouthearted Men" are on the more stirring side.
I recommend this CD along with "The Old Refrain". If you have not yet discovered the treasure that is Nelson Eddy's voice, you are missing out on one of life's most beautiful gifts.

Chicken notwithstanding, the dealin' is done for Kenny Rogers, who in 1999 has got time enough for countin' his myriad number one hits. Rogers was country music's brightest star during its darkest night. His hook-laden pop songs had just enough dust and his voice just enough Texas twang to earn him country credibility, but in reality, he was and always will be an adult contemporary pop singer. These four CDs comprehensively follow Rogers's chameleon-like career--from the vocal-pop of the Scholars to the light jazz of the Bobby Doyle Three to the acid-folk of the First Edition to the country-crossover sound of the mid-1970s to the full-blown pop stylings of 1980 forward. Rogers always had a knack for choosing material with mass appeal--in the notes he calls it "the simple song that has a great hook that everybody can sing, where everybody joins in with you on the second verse"--and he knew what would best suit his easy-flowing, thready voice. And there was always a duet partner--Dottie West, Sheena Easton, Kim Carnes, Dolly Parton--waiting to liven things up. These 80 songs (along with the detailed notes and interviews) will bring tears of joy to the diehards, but even the cynics might find themselves singing along with a couple of the most memorable ones. --Marc GreilsamerCustomer Reviews:
Darn Near Perfect Kenny Rogers Collection.......2006-07-21
Plenty of variety in Kenny's music.......2002-12-23
The first CD covers the early years, but only the last eight tracks represent his music with the First Edition, The first twelve tracks form a fascinating historical record, demonstrating that Kenny's roots were many and varied, but with plenty of jazz. The First Edition tracks are the original recordings. Kenny later re-recorded some of these songs, but although those re-recordings are often used on compilations of his music, EMI decided on this occasion to license the originals. The best known of these tracks is Ruby don't take your love to town, but Something's burning was also a big hit. Dolly revived But you know I love you in 1981 and actually had a bigger hit with the song than Kenny had.
The second CD contains all Kenny's American number one country hits of the seventies and eighties. These include three duets with Dottie West (a vastly under-appreciated singer), two duets with Dolly Parton (including Islands in the stream) and one each with Sheena Easton (We've got tonight) and Ronnie Milsap. Among his solo tracks on this CD, you will have your own favorites. Lucille is the song that turned me on to Kenny's music and I still think it's his best - but not by much. Tomb of the unknown love is much less well known than the earlier classics, but it is a wonderful song.
The third and fourth CD's cover the same period as the second CD, but they cover the hits that didn't reach number one. Again, there are three duets with Dottie and two with Dolly. Other duets feature Anne Murray, Holly Dunn and Nickie Ryder. Kim Carnes features twice - once in a duet with Kenny on Don't fall in love with a dreamer, and once singing with James Ingram and Kenny on What about me? My favorite solo tracks from these two CD's are Scarlet fever, Evening star and Blaze of glory, but there are many other brilliant songs here and your favorite may be different. Looking at other compilations, the obvious omissions are Love will turn you around and The long arm of the law. Neither of these are essential, but it's a pity that anything got left out in a collection of this nature.
So, this is a very interesting collection that covers Kenny's career up to 1997 in depth. I still get immense pleasure from listening to him, even though I've heard some of the songs hundreds of times.
kenny rogers and the legend continues.......2002-05-09
A Thoroughly Enjoyable Retrospective.......2002-03-24
Disc-1: All but the die-hard fans will be unfamiliar with the first twelve tracks recorded between 1956-66. These tracks are mostly of historical value and show Rogers working in a variety of styles (doo-wop, jazz, big band) both as a solo and with The Scholars and The Bobby Doyle Three. It is with "Just Dropped In"--The First Edition's quasi-psychedelic 1968 hit--that the material becomes more familiar. The rest of the disc includes the rest of that group's hits with the glaring omission of 1970's "Heed the Call." [Also worth noting is that these are all original recordings. Capitol Records has negotiated licensing agreements with Reprise, United Artists and Liberty, something that was NOT done with earlier compilations like Ten Years of Gold, Twenty Greatest Hits, and 20 Great Years which occasionally resorted to rerecording some of these songs.]
Disc-2: Rogers achieved superstar status in the Seventies. Each one of these songs peaked at No. 1 on the country chart. All but seven of them also placed in the Top 40 on the pop charts--including two No. 1 pop hits: "Lady" and his duet with Dolly Parton, "Islands in the Stream."
Disc 3: While not packed with hits like disc-2, all but two of the songs on this third disc ("While the Feeling's Good" and "The Greatest Gift of All") charted in the Top 40 on the country and/or pop chart, including one of Rogers' rare songwriting credits on "Sweet Music Man."
Disc-4: By the mid-Eighties, Rogers was no longer the guaranteed hit machine that he had been for the past decade. Only four of these songs went Top 10--all on the country chart--but these are all solid performances. And despite 1991's "If You Want To Find Love" being the most recent charting single on this box set, the final chapter on Rogers' career is yet to be written.
While this box is a bit pricey, it's the only way to show the breadth and depth of his career. RECOMMENDED
